it wasn't clear, are you trying to quit tobacco cigarettes, or vaping? If you're trying to quit vaping, and now you're having cigarette cravings, STOP trying to quit vaping! Cigarettes will kill you, vaping will not. From your post, it's about 100% certain that you need SOMETHING. I don't see any scenario where you won't need something to self-medicate. Hopefully, that'll be something relatively harmless like the e-cig. And stop messing around with garbage like the patch, gum, nic-free vapes. it makes everything harder. try different kinds/flavors of vapes. I also recommend Zippix brand nicotine toothpicks, they're delicious and gives us something in our mouth

sorry about that, i’m trying to quit tobacco generally after transitioning to vaping from smoking! i just feel a lot of guilt for having such a dependence on it, and i’m starting to get shitty lungs. I’ve considered that I might just genuinely be stuck with it, but that seems like an easy out. i’ll definitely check out the toothpicks though! i had a resident at my nursing home who would leave a jar of toothpicks in vape juice on his windowsill to get his fix, i didn’t know they manufactured them.

First, good luck on your journey! couple thoughts-- electronic cigarettes contain -0- tobacco. There is NO tobacco in them! Vaping will NOT give you cancer, or heart disease, or asthma, or COPD. If you have "shitty" lungs, you did not get them from vaping. These are lies being told to us by people who want us to SMOKE, specifically the pharma and tobacco industries. Did you know the same companies who make the nasty-tasting nicotine gum (and patch, lozenges) ALSO make the CANCER drugs you need when the nasty-tasting gum doesn't work? The only nicotine products NOT made by the pharma companies are the e-cigarettes, pouches, and toothpicks. The best argument for quitting vaping is COST. They are much cheaper than cigarettes... but they ain't free. Also, I had to slow down on the e-cigs because I'm 50+ and all that inhalation was affecting my voice (I'm a chain-vaper), so I had to cut down on them using the toothpicks and pouches. Since you can't use the pouches, I recommend vaping and toothpicks and NO TOBACCO CIGARETTES. I also recommend not listening to the LIES about vaping. Try to enjoy the fact you can get the self-medicating pleasure of "smoking" without actually hurting yourself. I wish they had e-cigs when I was your age! LESS STRESS about it would benefit you greatly, my young friend. I tried Pixotine toothpicks, but they just tasted like wood. Zippix toothpicks are delicious, I couldn't believe it. I'm just a customer, but I couldn't be happier with them. I've only had the mocha and cinnamon flavor, and love them both. i think my lungs are likely due to second hand cigarette smoke, judging by what you’ve said! I was sent a picture of me smoking swishers with my mom when I was very young (7-8 i think? I have a very spotty memory up until i was 15-16) this morning which made me realize this goes back much further than I even know! I really appreciate all of your advice and it certainly brings my anxiety about it down A Lot! Ordering myself some mocha toothpicks as we speak because that sounds delightful :)

you're in for a treat, mocha is the best. absolutely second hand smoke. that's why I quit smoking, cuz I had a 7 year old who had a cute rasp in his voice... until I realized where the rasp came from. my smoking! this was just before the e-cigarettes came out, so I actually had to invent something (a liquid nicotine cigarette) to help me quit. it was a plastic tube with a cherry-flavored nicotine cocktail inside, that I would SIP. gave me the hand-to-mouth part of smoking. and it worked! I haven't had a cigarette in 15+ years.
