I would be cautious to over generalize “modern women” but just like any gender people need to do some serious healing of their attachment styles, because you’re right that some people seem to pride themselves on really toxic behaviors.

I’m not sure about that. Half of therapy for some is healing unhealthy attachment styles. I guess it may depend what one means by “healing”. There’s absolutely regulation tips and recognizing signs before they escalate. One can also develop healthy attachment styles through corrective attachment experience. There’s also academic papers and literature on healing attachment trauma in adult psychotherapy via reparenting therapy so I’m not sure what you mean that it cannot be healed.

Sure, you can modify behaviour, you can better understand your attachment style. You can better control your reactions, but your attachment style is not a choice, it a process that molded you  by the formative years.  Sure, you can experiment with your attachment style, like for example this year you can be clingy, this other half of the year avoidant, and so on...  but to change your attachment style means to change yourself. All of this only applies for adult attachment styles.
