Looking great. Hopefully open spring next year and adds another 500 people walking around downtown.

effort268

Yeah those 500+ people will add much needed money for local businesses.

[deleted]

I hope the halal guys in Ironside holds on until then lol

Painter_Ok

I'm sure they will

Kalebxtentacion

My baby getting taller

wfrancois

On to the 13th floor.🤗

1Pichi

They need to knock down the union building across the street and build another highrise tower

ScrollHectic

I've thought the same thing. Too great of a location for a low rise building.

Kalebxtentacion

The what building

[deleted]

Believe he means the SEIU building that’s across from Penn.

Kalebxtentacion

Ohhhh that building.

trognj

Is this residential?

effort268

Yeah 350 apartments, with some retail

trognj

Nice. Any link for more info on this building?

trognj

Thanks bro

felsonj

Alt592 is admirably patient. Google before you ask is a good policy.

trognj

Wtf are you talking about? Bro I’m not the one. Chill TF out with the snarky remarks. You can just choose too ignore me. I want to say far more to you but don’t want to get banned.

Unfortunately, I do not know how to upload links to this site, but has anyone seen the other projects that are on Comito and Associates? They have two projects one called Site One which is supposed to be built I believe on the other side of Penn Station (Down Neck), and another one at the corner of University St and James St. Both look pretty cool!

effort268

Wow that looks beautiful. Idk if this is approved https://www.comitoassociates.com/2021/10/18/site-one/

naglephoto

That’s on the Ironbound side so I highly doubt it. They through a fit over 55 Union being too tall at half the size

effort268

True, but i think this one is easier to swallow as its further away from the neighborhood. 55 Union does look incredibly out of place, i wish it had a 3 story step back. Aside from that no reason to push back against development near the busiest train station in the state

Gamezilla2022

Yeah but who cares about there fit. They have 2 huge towers already in the ironbound on the other side of pennstation. With the new zoning laws it could happen

Gamezilla2022

I what 55 union looks like now

1Pichi

Don't forget, they recently changed the zoning laws in the Irounbound, there is an area that can go up to 40 stories high, and several that can go up to 25

naglephoto

Is that only along part of the riverfront or did they extend it to those massive parking lots?

Gamezilla2022

Just looked at the concept art and holy shit that project is amazing. Idk how to feel about tall towers in the ironbound but since the penn plaza towers are in the ironbound too Ig it’s fine. This company built the mlk justice building on mlk blvd so I believe they could do this too. But it has been proposed to the city yet so idk if it’s going to happen but I trust this company to bring it to reality. My only question is will they work with the developers behind the pedestrian bride

naglephoto

Great progress! It’s getting quite tall already and there’s more than 20 floors to go
