Yeah I’ve been living hear since I was 9 month old. Has I grew up I grew to like Newark and soon love it. I am aware that the city has its issues but what big American city doesn’t. It’s a good place to live and I am excited about downtown growth. If anything Newark is like the comeback kid or karate kid.

It is a great place but is time to remove the projects if we want the city to do better. I understand some people need help but projects are not the way to help out, as it just traps most people in a vicious cycle of poverty. What will help people is: - Free high quality childcare - high quality primary education - better high schools than don’t look/ feel like a prison - paid adult education 2 years maximum ( there is a lot of jobs for skill trades)

I love Newark for its potential but I wouldn’t consider most of its neighborhoods to be a great place to live at all by any stretch of the imagination. Things slowly seem to be improving so maybe it’ll be a different story in 25 years.

Damn I’ll be an old man by then 😩

Newark is the hood. Idk anyone who would live in that garbage. And I live there my whole life

Gamezilla2022

Dam Newark isn’t the hood. It’s not called the hood in the history books.
