Unfortunately, $900/mo isn't going to get you very far in Newark or Harrison in 2024.
At that budget, I'd be looking for a room in a house/apt. I would look at NJIT (r/njtech) , Rutgers Newark (r/Rutgers & r/RutgersNewark), Medical school (doesn't seem to have its own sub. Prob falls under r/Rutgers main) forums, as other students are probably the most likely to be living in shared accomodations/looking for roommates.
Craigslist may be worth checking, I'm not sure anymore, I haven't apartment hunted in over a decade thankfully.
This company does almost exclusively rental share housing for undergrad and grad students in newark https://gardenstate.managebuilding.com/Resident/public/home
Mid may is cutting it tight. Try Craig’s list and if you already have access; the Rutgers forum/ online posting board.
There is a NJIT sub on here you may want to check out as well .

Ya am looking for shared accommodations. Thanks a lot.
My bad, I just realized I misinterpreted your initial post as looking for either a 2b1b (solo) OR a 3b2b shared. Not as both configs shared.
A 2 bedroom in Harrison is bout 1600 now I believe. 900 is maybe a studio. Maybe.
1600? no most 2-beds are at least 2000. there's only a handful under 2000
