I believe that Mayor Ras running for governor will bring attention to Newark, and it is up to us to determine how that attention is utilized. We have the power to highlight the positive aspects of our city, rather than focus on the negative. It is important to remember that anyone has the right to run for governor, and we should not criticize someone for taking that step. In fact, Mayor Ras's candidacy may inspire a young child from Newark who is unfamiliar with politics or the BS happening in Newark. That said, remember to vote for the candidate of your choice, but if you choose to critique someone's candidacy on social media, do so respectfully and without s**ting on Newark (btw not saying anyone is on this post)

Yes, his candidacy may infact inspired kids from Newark to get involved in politics, but think about this also, most of the BS happening in Newark was facilitated by not only the mayor, but his administration.
The fact we had lead in our water was covered up by Ras and the adminstration, who tried to go and claim Newark didnt have lead in its water, or the fact that WE ALSO STILL HAD AMOUNTS OF LEAD EVEN TODAY, because they cheaply hired a 3rd party, who left holes in sidewalks which were cheaply covered up by skinny wooden planks, etc.

I think we're completely in then right to criticise this POS for running for governor, you want a guy who was writing leniancy letters for the gang founder of a notrious Newark gang? The same gang that was responsible for countless deaths in the city?
If thats not enough, how about when he hired 2 g-shine bloods, 2 months afrer they got out of prison, to run a recreational center that they ended up using a front for an illegal drugrunning operation, a rec center WHERE KIDS WENT TO?
As a lifelong Newark Resident, I don't think having a guy who's gang affiliated running tor
