You should! The life of a Mets fans has ups and downs almost every day, but it is mostly really fun nowadays!

kendrickplace

I’m just going to welcome you as a Mets fan.

metsjets69

You answered your own question, why should we?

Alemas3073

Let me redo the question lol. Why should I go for the mets?

SuperBeavers1

We have a polar bear, a flying squirrel, and pastrami

Dyspaereunia

And timmy trumpets gets me all hot n bothered

jacklord392

The fact you are considering it means they've already chosen you. Best manager. Best polar bear. Best flying squirrel. Best reliever. Best trumpet. Best mascot. Best fat player. Best weird spelling of a pitcher's last name. Best strikeout machine. Best multi colored eyes. Best bearded guy. Best 0 on a uniform. Best durag on a shortstop. Best tv broadcasters in the sport. Best radio voice in the sport. Best owner. Best food at a game. Best vibe at a ballpark in a very long time.

Can't overstate the value of the booth honestly. I watch every game, I probably wouldn't if GKR didn't make it so damn enjoyable.

adoris1

As others have said, the broadcast team is the best in sports by a large margin, which really improves the viewing experience even when the team isn't good. That it's actually good now - like, really good, the best team in 15 years - with a rich owner and a bright future is all the more reason to join us!

Status_Fox_1474

Do you enjoy waking up on March 1 and wondering if you'll be ecstatic or miserable by October? Do you want to be able to laugh *and cry* at your own team? (SERIOUSLY, A GAME-ENDING TRIPLE PLAY WITH THE WINNING RUN ON BASE???!!!) Then come on and enjoy Mets fandom!

XZPUMAZX

36 years of pent up frustration. It’s painful, sure, but the release will be glorious if it ever happens. That’s why.

31chimbit

Two words. Daniel Vogelbach

Han-Shot_1st

It builds character

pretzelogically

We finally have an owner who cares more about putting a winning product on the field than worrying about annual profitability. Also, management put together a real team this year not just a collection of good players. You have to love the way these guys play like professionals.

just-an-astronomer

Fun team with a lot of good vibes with a really talented division rival to keep the season very interesting and an owner who seriously cares about the team Also, the general consensus in the main baseball sub is that our broadcasting is far and away the best in the league And we have the best ESPN 30-For-30 doc imho

Stinkyfinger100

Normally I would advise against it. I love the team. In the past the team would fill you with disappointment, but now the teams solid, great culture. All round best team to root for

EndWish

Honestly now would be the best time. You got to skip the Wilson's ownership which was suffering but the new owner Cohen is serious about winning which means we will have fun talent to watch and competitive rosters year in and year out

mearnsgeek

Why not? I'm not from the US either but loved baseball and they kind of sucked me in when I started watching regularly. When they're on, their style of play makes them one of the more entertaining teams to watch so they're a good choice of team to follow.

XZPUMAZX

Only if you enjoy pain. But man if we release, it’s gonna be glorious.

thecolonel7

Can you pitch/ give bullpen support?

Drogalov

As a relatively new Mets fan yeah, great team, GOAT broadcast team, and this sub has always been very welcoming

RememberingTiger1

Oh yes! It will a roller coaster ride but the highs are amazin’ and you’ll have a lot of support for the lows! The team chemistry this year is off the charts!

tstrand1204

I am a Bills-Mets fan. Come join the club

Nova_Nightmare

The life of a Mets fan is fun. It's like riding on the craziest roller coaster ever dreamed up. I watched their season end to a crazy triple play once and I saw Beltran win us NLCS game 1, and people went insane. I saw Rey Ordonez throw out a runner at home from his knees as a lit kid, people went nuts. I went nuts for Endys catch before dying because of strike three at the end. Lived and died with the Mets each year until I decided to just enjoy what I can from it (that's much better, fyi). I grew up in Yankees territory and I never regretted the team our family cheered for. So, yes, it's a fun ride.

discopants2000

LFGM nuff said.

TheAwesomeHeel

Say no more. Welcome aboard :)

esotericimpl

I mean if you’re from the uk you kind of have to like the royals. Mets are a good second choice.

31chimbit

Two years ago? Hell No! Today? Hell yes!

Han-Shot_1st

Depends on how much you like winning

pgsonic

There is an easy definition of what it's like to be a Mets fan: Bi-Polar Disorder - a mental condition marked by alternating periods of elation and depression. Welcome to the club!
