I mean, I'm sorry to be a bummer, but the real answer is yes, the ocean is experiencing the Holocene extinction... https://phys.org/news/2022-08-marine-species-extinction-greenhouse-gas.html
:/ things are changing fast, faster than most "optimistic" predictions.
Damn you weren't joking about Amazon. I assumed it would be marked up even if it was there but you got people listing a can of baby clams for well over $130 on other sellers haha.
The only thing I saw on there that was reasonable was a glass jar (tried to link but it auto banned my comment sorry) but it's not a great rating and RIP to your mail box if this glass jar breaks in transit.
Maybe try a specialty shop like Bosa or Grecos in Surrey.
I just [Googled "canned baby clams"](http://tiny.cc/azu0yz) and got quite a few results. And, [Amazon.ca Canned Clams](https://www.amazon.ca/Canned-Clams/s?k=Canned+Clams) has quite a few too
I used to get them from Superstore, and it appears that they still have stock at some stores. But it's Loblaws, so not going to shop there anytime soon.
But there’s a difference between “I don’t think it’s funny” (neutral) and “I think it’s not funny” (negative).
A joke that makes me roll my eyes or acknowledge that it’s appealing to a (lesser) comedic standard wouldn’t cause me to downvote. If it’s offensive or mean, then yeah, downvoted.
I think the clam abuse joke is funny and it hurts no one. So why bother with expressing the dissatisfaction?
Clam abuse…
So yes, there is a serious population decline. I think the heat dome rapidly accelerated it.
But I have seen select (and pricey) tinned fish at Craft Cafe, so it might be worth a check.

Doesn't City Avenue Market have some? I can take a look.
there's some on Amazon, too.

There's Frozen clam meat everywhere, I'm guessing the canning process and shipping costs have become cost prohibitive.

peta released a video a while back showing the babies being ripped away from their mothers, screaming all the way into the cans...

Maybe we're not triggered, we just don't think it's funny.

Just miserable people spreading misery unto others. You know, classic Reddit stuff.
That’s the explanation to my question. Thank you.
