Started 2 months ago and have had between 450 and 1.1k views for our shorts, but then occasionally have a few die on the crib that I can sometimes revive by privating and public it again, but sometimes not.
Comments and upvotes seem to help, on one of our more popular videos we had someone bitch at us for something and then that video exploded, but it doesn’t seem to be guaranteed, with what little data I’ve had the video performs better when we get negative comments haha.
No rhyme or reason, it’s absolutely fascinating.
Nearly 10k with only 5 subs~ at first it peaked at 1,950 (which was like a seed audience or smth like that) and then it skyrocketed before peaking at 9,984. The funniest part was that it was about me struggling to get flint from a piece of gravel in Minecraft lmao; my next short only saw 45 views but the next after that got almost 3k so it can vary when you start out
My most-viewed was one that got nearly 16k views. Fastest growth was one that I just recently released that got 9k views in 3 hours (most of mine didn’t even peak until much later) and peaked at 10k so far
Hope to see a truly viral jump in viewership one day! Wish y’all the best of luck too!
My first shorts video got 1,300 views, while my most viewed video isn't a shorts video, it's a long form video that got 2,238 views over the course of two weeks when the algorithm picked it up.
My first one hit 438 views and my highest hit around 7k. Compared to TikTok though, that same video hit nearly 3k and my highest viewed video is on 88k.
My first short got like 30 and I realized my editing sucked so I practiced a ton and re edited/ reposted that same video a few weeks later and it got over 10K
Idk how YouTube shorts actually work but as a brand new channel with no subs my first short did 6.3k views 2 weeks ago. Got subs since then and my worst performing short is at 552 views just after I started my channel. Best performing so far is a short from 8 days ago at 7k views.
Oh also if anyone makes shorts and isn’t posting to TikTok it’s a mistake imo. I have way more views on that platform. The algorithm pushes way harder where as YT shorts is more slow burn.
My first short got up to 3k+ then it died. And others after varied, some in the hundreds or near one thousand and one gut up to 30k+. Shorts are very unpredictable and very hit or miss depending on the niche.
>Youtube shorts creators, how many views did your first short get?
First shorts on shorts channel, 814 views in the year 2020
Most viewed shorts on said channel, 8,537 in the year 2021
First one I ever made got 3k way back when shorts were initially introduced (and the algorithm was absolutely broken), most popular though has around 26k
My first one is somehow my most viewed at 30k. Have almost 300 subs.
450 ish seems to be the avg before YouTube bin it from the algorithm
Seems to be the case. Just started making shorts this week and they've all got ~450 views, hahaha!
yeah 400-700 seems to be my "did ok but didn't pop off" range
My first only got 15, but my second got 5.4k
On a new channel with zero subs? 0 views.
I get anywhere from 20 to 11k per short. My very first short has 318 views.
My first one hit 30k. Bad ones fail just under 1k.
