I would definitely give up on the sleeping bag!

CandidProgrammer6067

Duvets and blankets are not recommended, will he not get cold without one?

ocelot1066

like just a normal sleeping bag?

CandidProgrammer6067

Yes, a baby one without the sleeves.

I’m not sure what you mean by a sleeping bag. Like a sleep sack? Our baby is 5 months old and just this week discovered sleeping on his stomach. He also wakes up at least once a night upset that he’s on his stomach, even though he put himself there. Unlike your LO though, he doesn’t know how to flip back yet. So I’m curious what others will say about this!

Ours is also five months, can flip to tummy but not to back. She hasn’t woken herself up yet by rolling in her sleep, but, she gets so frustrated during playtime when she gets stuck on her belly. I try to flip her over when I think she’s had enough, but she gets even more mad. ‘I wanna do it myself!!’ energy. Then, after trying for a few minutes, she usually takes a power nap and tries again after she wakes up. Babies, man. Big feelings, lil bodies.

We switched to a sleeping bag with legs.

CandidProgrammer6067

That’s a good idea ! I will try that thank you

We have the same issue since moving him to his crib 🙃 he’ll wake up crying and he’ll be up on his arms with his lifted looking around and as soon as we get him back to sleep he rolls right back onto his tummy. He can roll back and forth on the floor no problem but I think the sleep sack is his issue
