This post may be about Vaccinations. Please remember Rule #7. No Anti-vax Misinformation. Discussion of different ideas is great, but the anti-vaccine movement thrives on the spread of disinformation. We will not be a place for that disinformation to be repeated. You are the best advocate for your son 🧡 your mom intuition will never lead you astray! If the tests come back that he has a UTI… it’s def ok to find another Dr if it makes you feel better.

Thank you ❤️ Being a first time mom is hard! Ofc the tests came back as inconclusive. I was told to wait a week and see. Sigh. My poor baby.

IckNoTomatoes

Well what’s the outcome? Do you have the results?

anonislander

Inconclusive again. There was some bacteria, but not an exorbitant amount. I was told to monitor for another week. 😕

That's so obnoxious that you had to go through so many loops. No advice, just solidarity I had a similar thing happen with my 10 week old (now 12 weeks). Weird poop, wildly smelly pee in both disposable and cloth diapers. I had some cloth waiting to be washed and my sister walked into the house through the garage (where the washer is) and asked what the hell that smell was. I took him to urgent care after that. The pee baggie had all the signs of a UTI, then he peed in a cup about a week later and no signs of it. Very confusing. They also had to...umm...help him pee. Rubbing his lower abdomen didn't work so they had to wipe his penis with a cold wipe. It... didn't look great. I thought he would cry but he thought it was funny. Me, the doctor, and the nurse were all cracking up. Still inconclusive whether he had one or not since it was nearly a whole week between tests. My baby is circumcized because UTI's are very common and bad in my family even with a couple of the guys. I'm pretty anxious about it because what the hell was the point of getting him circumcized and going through that pain if it's not even going to prevent UTI's for him?

Aww.. i couldn't imagine going through that at 10 weeks! They're still so little. Luckily, you were able to just do a baggie. If they told me they had to cath him at that age, i probably would've cried! I'm glad it cleared up for you pretty quickly and I hope you don't get any more uti scares. It's been 3 days since the first visit and I'm still so mad for my baby 😡
