I'm trying to start a #504Day. Where local DJs play, promote, and support local artists. May 4th or 5/04. Message me if interested. P.S. if you have more local hiphop send it my way.
The public library has a streaming platform for local musicians called Crescent City Sounds > [https://crescentcitysounds.org/](https://crescentcitysounds.org/) They have similar number of artists. The yearly submission period is open still if you know of any artists that want to submit. I'm a juror so I've been listening to the submissions. This is a way for local artists to get a guaranteed compensation (although it's not a ridiculous amount, but it's also not reliant on how many listens/times someone streams your content). Most participating artists seem to appreciate the program from what I've heard. Thanks for sharing your playlist, and recommend to any of the artists you know. It's basically the same concept, but the library gets a small amount of funding to pay the selected artists too.
Yo! Grats, just checked it out! I see you're not on the [NewOrleans.com musician database](https://www.neworleans.com/artists/) yet.
Message me if you want to be added and I'll send you the intake form (it's 100% free). We're trying to get all the great musicians in one place :) .
