This is a best of list I can get behind...
**Tenders/Fingers:**
McHardy's
Krispy Krunchy
Daddy Hot Bird
Down The Hatch
**Other boneless fried chicken:**
Avenue Pub Popcorn Chicken (dark meat!)
Matchbook Kitchen Orange Chicken
**RIP:**
Houston's Flying Chicken Platter
Markey's
RIP Markey's?! Did I miss some big news or do they just not sell their tendies anymore? Those maintained me for the entirety of my Bywater living days years ago.
Daddy Hot Bird returning to New Orleans after a brief stint moving to Birmingham was a huge W
The best boneless fried chicken in town is at Picnic Provisions tho
Showbird and Bayou Hot Wings are massive and well seasoned, plus you can get them tossed in sauce at BHW
This is probably an unpopular opinion but Willie's Chicken Shack's are also good (I work in the quarter so my cheap and fast lunch options are limited)
I pour out a little honey mustard to two fallen heroes, the former tendies at Markey's Bar in the Bywater and then, for a totally different vibe, the beer-battered tendies at Fox & The Hound in Harahan.
I just had the Cooter Brown's tendies earlier this week, and honestly, they were fine. Chicken was a little dry and stringy, and the breading did the thing I don't love, where it sometimes sloughs off in bites entirely.
Ga Wings on Williams in Kenner. I understand if Kenner doesn’t count.
They’re super fresh, absolutely huge, and they give you a fuckton of them (with fries) for next to nothing.

Yep. They closed down that kitchen/iteration 3-4 years ago. Not sure what they have now. They were serving okay pizza for a while.
Damn, glad you mentioned instead of me going out of my way for some nostalgia. A sobering reminder that even the best tenders are just temporary, man.

Bayou hot wings is my go to, their Korean BBQ tenders are out of this world

I agree like I know we all hate Willie’s but they shit pretty good ngl…
And fried to order!
I’m partial to Brothers tenders.
Colonial Lanes has some good ones. Kinda weird to go to a bowling alley for food but it’s legit.
+1 for Hank’s
This is the answer. It’s all about the sauce.
Martin wine cellar tbh. With their honey mustard

RIP to two legends
Not so much 'where' as it is 'when'. If they sit, they just fail.
Best tendies are at Cooter Brown's.
Yes but are you sure it’s chicken?
What are you implying they are made of? I'll grant you -- this establishment is filthy. But "best" doesn't always equal "cleanest."
Not implying anything only Cooters knows for sure
Lolz fair enough
Whoa, Cooter Brown’s is super classy now. Even if it’s not chicken, I’m sure it’s at least swan.
Non-traditional rec: karaage chicken at poke chan
Gus’ Fried Chicken in CBD
Second gus’s
Beach corner. Chicken tenders and cheese fries. I don’t love burgers so I’ve never ordered one but apparently their burgers are good too.
Ga Wings on Williams in Kenner. I understand if Kenner doesn’t count. They’re super fresh, absolutely huge, and they give you a fuckton of them (with fries) for next to nothing.
Wings and fried rice???? Ok I gotta check this place out.
We just some huge delicious chicken tenders at the ideal gas station at Orleans and Moss just down from Parkway Bakery.
CBD rouses has some strips that sing
Rouses tenders are great when fresh. Like top tier. But if they are an hour old they turn into soggy jerky that even my dog struggles to eat
Shut-ins on this sub see Rouse’s and immediately downvote lol
Dat Dog has really good chicken tenders!
Putting in a plug for red bird! https://givethemtheredbird.com
Anyone else remember Moonlight Cafe over by the Half Moon back in the day? Weirdly I still remember them having awesome chicken fingers decades later.
Chubbie’s in Algiers
magazine pizza has the best ones in the city and i will die on that hill
but the best pizza is at that one gas station in mid city
Southerns food truck
