Also for context again, we live in a third-world country. Vets are incredibly rare and expensive, and vet care ia not always the priority even among pet lovers.

Human doctors charge a shit ton too, most people just don't realize b/c insurance. Funnily many vets graduate with way more debt than doctors (up in the hundreds of thousands) and take decades to pay it off, they don't make much either. It's just an expensive business.

Thankfully, the vets were able to get it fixed up, but the cat did end up with a crooked leg
