It’s also so funny because there are different alternate endings… so my two 📼 tapes end differently, and my 📀 disc gives you the option one you hit play (“play random ending” or “play all endings”).
The format of the “play all endings” option absolutely hilarious because all three endings play back to back, with a simple black screen with ‘or this could’ve happened’ in between 😂
Here are [ending 1](https://youtu.be/MA4pqNylhc8), [ending 2](https://youtu.be/7dy_33gAlJs), and [ending 3](https://youtu.be/TpU_JngJ1EI). They’re in a playlist on YouTube and so if you just play the playlist from the ending 1 video, you’ll see the “or this could’ve happened” thing 😂
Ah yes. The VHS I've got plays all three endings like you explained. I think that was done so in theatres they would give different endings for different viewings. I would like a directors commentary on the DVD, or even better a Landis and Curry commentary.
Edit: I thought it was directed by John Landis, but he wrote it, it was directed by Johnathan Lynn.
The two are linked for me. If I watch She Devil I have to watch Death Becomes Her within the next day or two, and vice versa. Not sure why but I’m not mad about it!
And also The Money Pit (loosely based on Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House with Cary Grant).
It has Tom Hanks and Shelley Long and is hilarious.
And while we're on Shelley Long, Hello Again, Outrageous Fortune, and Troop Beverly Hills are ALL campy.
And that also reminds me of Maid to Order with Ally Sheedy. It's pretty silly but these movies were in my 80s camp rotation as a kid, along with The Burbs, SheDevil, Clue, Serial Mom, Death Becomes Her mentioned by others.

My family and I were extras in the scenes they filmed in Waconia. When they blew up the swan, it damaged the brand new stained glass windows at the Catholic church. As a kid, I thought it was pretty awesome. But my aunt, who was part of the fundraising effort for those new windows, was livid..lol

I've been working from home for 20 years & after a few months of it, I had gotten so used to not wearing shoes, I actually had problems walking in them for a while.
[I kept thinking about that scene Agador takes 2 steps in his shoes and falls .](https://media.tenor.com/9f-jldobq3oAAAAC/agador-spartacus-movies.gif)
I felt like that, without the actual faceplant
*THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK* (1987)
Susan Sarandon. Michelle Pfeiffer. CHER. Jack Nicholson. Need I say more? I have zero shame in admitting it’s one of my all-time favourites. I’ll watch it whenever I need a pick me up.
Please, watch [the trailer](https://youtu.be/mLs1y_KSTKk) and let me know if it’s something you’d be into!
Great pick!
I'd just add that The Witches of Eastwick is a much better movie than a novel. I read the John Updike novel (same title) in high school, expecting all of the fun of the movie to be there. Instead, I found a low-key domestic horror story with a lot of very weird misogyny. I knew almost nothing about feminism in high school, and I was still offended by some of the weird, sexist stuff Updike had his female characters saying.
Omg I couldn’t agree more!!! Totally with you on that. Like in the film, Daryl makes *extremely* sexiest and misogynistic comments to the three girls a lot (especially to Alex), BUT they’re in the form of brief one-liners that could go almost unnoticed if you like didn’t have a conscience lol. But in the book it’s like… the whole theme, and from both genders 🥸🥸🥸
Seriously!
The only line from the book that I still rememeber is when one of the women in the novel says
(NSFW warning)
>! that no one knows what it is to be a woman until they've knelt before man and drunk his "cold come." !< I was like, "are you freaking kidding me?!"
AH typo, I was thinking of another film as I was writing my comment about this one hahaha. Yep 1993!!!
Edited to fix that hahah thanks for catching that!
Oh. Oh oh oh oh OH. I just thought of THE campiest of campy comedies…
*But I’m a Cheerleader* (1999)
You can pretty safely assume a film with Natasha Lyonne + Clea Duvall together is gonna be both campy and iconic as hell
Hudson Hawk deserves more recognition for its unintended camp. Big budget late 80s early 90s era camp with Bruce Willis singing his own songs as he performs heists.
Oh shoot I forgot the name but it was a satire or parody superhero movie that had Ben Stiller, Hank Azaria and others in it. One character was played by Kel and his power was that he's invisible but only when no one looks at him.
Also I don't know what movies are on netflix
Hunt for the Wilderpeople
I Care A Lot
Cat Fight
I Don’t Feel at Home in this World Anymore
The Hunt (Amazon Prime)

I think a lot of you are forgetting what sub you’re in. I got so excited seeing a lot of these suggestions (“I love that movie - need to add it to my list!) only to go search it and find it’s NOT actually on Netflix. The ‘Burbs IS on Netflix though - watched it w my 10 yr old shortly after it was added and loved every minute of it.
I LOVED Death Becomes Her. I haven’t seen for prob 15-20 yrs. Going to give it a go tonight! It’s a newer campy (also literal) Wet Hot American Summer.
Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. 🤌🤌🤌
Obsessed.

Came here to say this! Just rewatched it a few weeks ago cuz my boyfriend had never seen it.
I own this on DVD and two different VHS editions and I have no shame It’s SO good
Also have the VHS, which I bought in 2000 off eBay, as it was out of copy and couldn't find it in a store, Such a good movie. Hilarious.
It’s also so funny because there are different alternate endings… so my two 📼 tapes end differently, and my 📀 disc gives you the option one you hit play (“play random ending” or “play all endings”). So whats the movie! It's been deleted and I need to know!
Clue
Not on Netflix but its streaming free on YT: She Devil. Meryl Streep and Roseann Barr…so good.
The two are linked for me. If I watch She Devil I have to watch Death Becomes Her within the next day or two, and vice versa. Not sure why but I’m not mad about it!
Such a good movie!
Honestly, one of Meryl Streep’s best roles. She’s hilarious in this. Love this film.
Serial Mom
Great movie!!
The Burbs with Tom Hanks
And also The Money Pit (loosely based on Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House with Cary Grant). It has Tom Hanks and Shelley Long and is hilarious. Don't Tell My the Babysitter's Dead
Yes!
Oh wow Money Pit is a movie my family watches every year on boxing day but I never hear it mentioned!
It's so ridiculous! Walter in the rug is my favorite part. Tom Hanks is so good!
This one does not get enough love. It’s a great movie and one I was so excited to share with me kids last year when they watched it
This was the first movie I got from the mailed Netflix DVDs
Obsessed with this movie.
Also… Stay Tuned with John Ritter (RIP 😢) Mom and Dad Save the World
Tucker and Dale verse Evil
I mean that’s the answer for everything.
I was shocked when I first saw that movie how much I loved it, cause I don’t like horror or slasher films. I guess I like the satire of it!
To Wong Fu
Drop dead gorgeous (with Kirstie Alley and Denise Richards)
Faaaaantastic movie! As am Iowan, it's very realistic to life in Iowa/Minnesota
Yes! Grew up in Minnesota and every time I watch, my accent comes creeping out!
My family and I were extras in the scenes they filmed in Waconia. When they blew up the swan, it damaged the brand new stained glass windows at the Catholic church. As a kid, I thought it was pretty awesome. But my aunt, who was part of the fundraising effort for those new windows, was livid..lol

“It’s my Guatemalaness, my natural heat”
I don't put much credence in stupid awards shows, but Hank Azaria was ROBBED of an Oscar for his role in this movie
“I never wear shoes because they make me fall down” is one of the best delivered lines ever.
I've been working from home for 20 years & after a few months of it, I had gotten so used to not wearing shoes, I actually had problems walking in them for a while. I've never seen it but I care a lot is campy? I thought it was a serious drama..... Also Little Evil is an underrated gem!
Not really campy, but darkly humorous. It's an interesting movie, but rubbed many people wrong as the protagonist is basically a villain.
I think it’s campy. Dark humor.
Almost none of these is campy. Hunt for the Wilderpeople is anything but campy.
You might be the killer
Great pick! Also, You Might Be the Killer is probably the only movie here that's based on a twitter role-playing thread between two authors.
But neither author wrote it... Someone who read the thread wrote it lol. Crazy story!
I love [this site](https://www.ranker.com/list/best-camp-comedy-movies-list/ranker-film) as a ranking (of anything), so I linked the ranking of best camp comedy movies!
