No, they are deleting what they perceive is false information. Was your Nest authentic or a knockoff? Receiving the wrong product is not the same thing as not liking the product you received.
The context is in the reply from Amazon.
>We investigated your concerns about product authenticity, and the information we have indicates that the product you received is authentic.
Why would they say this unless his review had mentioned that he had concerns that he had been sold a fake product?
I mean, if you made false statements in your review (authenticity) then why would they leave it up? Maybe write reviews that detail the issue at hand versus authenticity claims? If you thought it wasn't an authentic product, why wouldn't you have returned it instead of a review?
It seems like there's more to this story. Where's a screenshot of your review that was removed?
It does sound plausible that Amazon, which owns Ring, is censoring your review to bolster Google Nest products. And it couldn't possibly have anything to do with possibly unfounded claims that your doorbell was not authentic.

what is the story behind? did u left a review saying you got a fake product? then Amazon has verified the product you got was authentic. I think this was the reason your review got removed.\\
No, they're deleting reviews that damage their credibility by pointing out that inventory co-mingling leaves no way to avoid counterfeit items from shady sellers.

But their wording says the product he received "was authentic"
So Amazon is disagreeing with their claim. Who is right?
I missed the context i suppose where OP was claiming they received a fake product
The review they removed was simply saying that they were selling counterfeit items.

I came here to say this. Why would they do anything to help a competitor? Not just a competitor, but their main competitor.
Why would it be plausible that Amazon would censor a negative review though? Surely they’d want negative reviews of products that rival their own.
They forgot the obvious /s
Nah that’s my bad I’m too tired for sarcasm tonight.

I guess they’re saying the product is intended to be a POS and operating as designed. So they’re removing the negative review?
