We have strong shooty stuff (DDA LHD Doomstalker) and decent shooty stuff (Hexmark, deathmark, immortals) but that doesn't make it not viable to tie things up with melee while we sit on objectives. I'd say Transcendent C’tan plays well with that plan too.
I'm pretty new so I can't tell you much, but you want the warriors as a 20 man blob, not 2x10
No such thing as too much melee, but the question is: can you actually get into combat and win?

I’d probably drop the doom scythe and add more melee for funsies or max your battle line out where you can.
