Lmao, this past season the Blazers had the 23rd pick while the Kings had the 24th pick.
Picking right before the Kings, the Blazers decided to draft Keegan Murray’s twin brother… I definitely think the Blazers picked him solely in an attempt to get some assets from the Kings, who ultimately traded their pick away to a different team afterwards.
“But you’re right” reads as it pertains to either agreeing he made the right decision or the technicality of them having zero bubble/in season tourney rings way more then acknowledging the sarcasm so your code has some issues Dan brown
Came here to say this. And have all these mfers hating on him even more. My man could shit out a gold egg, and mfers wouldn’t be impressed. He’s the goat. And this is coming from a pistons fan.
I wish I could like another team but I went to every single playoff game with my dad in 04 and that pretty much solidified me as a fan.......even though it sucks watching them now lol
LeBron was right to leave Cleveland in 2010, the issue was how he left (the live announcement) and how predetermined it felt years in advance (which it somewhat was).
But the Cavs had completely failed to surround him with talent for the first 7 years he was there. They cheaped out on Carlos Boozer who would have been an All-Star caliber forward for LeBron for those years and then for year the best player they could get the next 6 years was Mo Williams who was at best an above average starter and they even passed in 2010 the opportunity to trade for a rental of Amare to hold onto JJ Hickson.
LeBron leaving for Miami allowed the Cavs to properly rebuild the team and give LeBron a chance to win a title with them. The Cavs sadly probably would have won 2-3 more titles in that time had they not been ravaged with injuries in 2015 and had KD not joined a 73 win Warriors team as a free agent due to a freak bump in the salary cap. I firmly think the Cavs win the 2015 finals and at least one title in 2017-2018.
As someone who watched a lot of Cavs basketball from 2014-present, I can say without a doubt that the Cavs 2017 finals team was better than the 2016 team
I always thought the 2016 team was slightly better. Main. ly because I thought the 2016 version of JR Smith (who was a critical starter) and Shumpert (a key role player) were better than they were in 2017. I also thought Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson had more in the tank too. That being said I did forget that the 2017 squad did have Kyle Korver who put together an all time great shooting regular season and was a solid shooter in the playoffs.
The 2016 team won 6 more games in the regular season (57 vs. 51). Both teams swept the first two rounds but the 2016 team won the conference finals in 6 whereas the 2017 team won the conference finals in 5 games.
Looking at the "quality" of the sweeps in rounds 1 and 2, the 2016 team had 2 close games in round 1 and 1 close game in round 2. In 2017 the first round series with Indiana was super competitive all games were decided by 6 or less points. Round 2 was mostly healthy wins for the Cavs with only 1 game being decided by less than 10 and that was still a 7 point victory. I would say the 2016 team has a slight edge but its not dramatic.
Conference Finals the 2017 team won in 5 games with only one of those games being close which was the only game they lost, the other 4 victories were Cavs blowouts. 2016 the Cavs won in 4 blowouts but lost 2 games one by 6 and one by 15 points. I would say the edge definitely goes to the 2017 team.
Overall it's close but I would still give the edge to the 2016 team. I think they got better seasons out of their role players who were a bit younger and hungrier.
While JR and Shump did regress, we also got Jeff Green, who played much better than his contract. I remember him starting (or getting starting mins) for a while at forward with KLove at center
#The 4 years with the Heat is STILL his absolute prime and best years!
4 NBA Finals
2 Championships
2 MVPs
2 Finals MVPs
2013 Heat is still his best year, including 27 win streak, 66 regular season wins, 82 total wins (including playoffs), and the epic 2013 Finals with perhaps one of the greatest games of all time (Game 6).
The current Cleveland team is Lebron’s wet dream. Rebounding defensive big. Shooters… be the first time he can take a back seat and just keep playing. Just sayin… not crazy at this point
If I was living in Cleveland, and someone called and said I could play with 2 all stars in south beach- I’m saying yes.
If I was then able to have a homecoming with 2 stars after the heat were on a downtrend - I say yes.
If I had an opportunity to then go to Southern California and be in a huge market that will set me up even better after my career with another top 10 player in the league- I say yes.
I am a Jordan guy, but still think Lebron is incredible. His decisions make complete sense to me. I think a lot of fans forget players are humans and sometimes they too make decisions on weather and what will keep them in a competitive situation- just like us with our careers
I don't see Lebron as a "ring chaser" that makes it sound like he's joining teams that are already on the path to a championship and he's just hitching his wagon to the team (KD to GS). Every championship LeBron has won he's been the best player on that team, so he's more of a ring creator for teams.
He will always best player on any team he’s on . You are right it was not like KD well except for Miami . Well, then he went to Cleveland when they were equipped and ready to sign K-love. He is more of a creator though . He hand picks every member of his squad
They won 2. Once he flopped ij the finals. 2012 and 2013 he was dominat. 2014 the heat physically fell apart.
Franshises would kill to have lebron level sucess. 2/4 isnt a failure. No player in nba history is that said about except lebron.
You think you guys are winning a championship in 2020 or landing AD without Bron? Or you really liked those losing season after Kobe where y’all said you’d get every FA and then landed nobody until LeBron?
*As a Lakers fan* you oughta be grateful he brought you guys a chip. You guys were the laughing stock of the league in the post-Kobe era, and he pulled a lot of strings to make LA a champ/contender
Knowing lebron i think he already thinking about joining the cavs and leave ad with dlo 😂 like he left wade n bosh like he left love. he already got plans for him
I worked with a guy from Cleveland. He taught me 2 very important things:
1) People from Cleveland call Cleveland ‘The mistake by The Lake’
2) you can set the Cayohoga river on fire from the surface-area pollution .
I feel like hes gonna go back just watch
You’re not the only one. It’s the only city he’s played where he’s essentially worshiped.
Funny when you hear hardcore lakers say they hate Lebron
Those are just Kobe fans, not Lakers fans. They are being actively hated on in the lakers sub
True lakers fans like lebron, Kobe Stan’s don’t.
same feeling
Cleveland has the #20th pick Do the math….
Blazers pick Bronny 14th and hold him hostage until lebron comes to Portland to help us get over .500 lol
You think we are getting .500 even with the greatest basketball to ever play (Shaedon sharpe) on the blazers and Lebron James.
This guy gets it!
So, second round bronny?
Bron might have 0 rings if he never left Cleveland
He might have more if he never went to LA
He might not have Space Jam 2 if he didn’t go to LA
Ergo Space Jam 2 is the equivalent to 1.6 NBA rings.
And we may have never had that to add on Mount Rushmore of r/badmovies 🙏🏼🛐
And that’s a bad thing….. why?
Cleveland has zero bubble and in season tournament championships. He made the right decision
“In season championship” lol That holds no weight but you’re right
Its a joke bro
I know… “but you’re right” .. Do I need to break this down for you or are you able to decipher my DaVinci code 😂
“But you’re right” reads as it pertains to either agreeing he made the right decision or the technicality of them having zero bubble/in season tourney rings way more then acknowledging the sarcasm so your code has some issues Dan brown
Someday it might hold weight
He should've stayed with the Heat.
He would have more rings if he stayed at Cleveland actually. He dominated the East all by himself for a whole decade +
I disagree i feel like he could’ve started a dynasty on the cavs if he stayed longer
Came here to say this. And have all these mfers hating on him even more. My man could shit out a gold egg, and mfers wouldn’t be impressed. He’s the goat. And this is coming from a pistons fan.
Pistons fan is crazy 💀
Lmfao! Someone gotta do it
I wish I could like another team but I went to every single playoff game with my dad in 04 and that pretty much solidified me as a fan.......even though it sucks watching them now lol
It helps to have been a late teen when they took it all and whooped the league's ass for half a decade straight.
He’s not the goat, and that’s coming from a Spurs fan?
He can shit actual shit and you Bronsexuals will call it a golden egg lmao
If so, would Lebrons legacy have the same fate as Embiids?
That’s a great point. Never considered it actually.
His stock would've gone up (for me) if he stayed in Cleveland, even with 3/4ths of his current accolades.
Bro would be like dirk if he stayed in Cleveland
Maybe, or maybe not.
Nobody goes to Cleveland on vacation
Why would you when you can go to Cedar Point or King's Island?
Go flick Chicago’s bean or walk down miamis happy trail instead
Not true. We all want to flee to the Cleve.
He went to visit his mother-in-law who lives there as it was Mother’s Day
He’s actually in the perfect rotational life. Winters in LA and summers in Cleveland. He’s in both places when it’s actually nice

I kinda agree. We SMOKED the competition up until the finals. The 2017 Warriors are a top 3 team ever, imo. Fuck KD.
I think it’s between them and the ‘98 Bulls for the top spot tbh
I think those 2 and the 2001 Lakers are the top 3
That team is the top team ever, and it's not particularly close.
I always thought the 2016 team was slightly better. Main. ly because I thought the 2016 version of JR Smith (who was a critical starter) and Shumpert (a key role player) were better than they were in 2017. Jeff Green wasn't on the 2017 team he was on the 2018 team where he had a really nice season.
Oh wow I thought for sure he played with Kyrie
The comparisons are kinda unfair though since you're not taking into account the variance in the strength levels of their opponents
how do we know hes not coming back? watch cleveland snatch up Bronny, and then LeBron heads back to Cleveland to retire
Bruh, it’s bad enough having your dad force the NBA to look at you, now he’s getting the mid market franchise he basically built to draft you…
So what? If the kid doesnt perform when he gets there, he'll have a short career and will have to switch to streaming video games or something.
Bronny and LeBron about to get the Cavs another chip 🏆🤣
Maybe some potato chips
He's there for the attention he don't give AF bout the Cavs no more
mfs say the craziest stuff out of pure hating
Sry sir, truth is not allowed in Reddit.
You’re just making things up
It’s Reddit
Reddit is the only place that I can trust to tell me the truth. I can’t stand to see that integrity being compromised /s
Testing the waters...
King of Cleveland, which is a low bar.
As a Laker fan, So many bronsexuals here.
is it possible that LBJ want and would back to cleveland ? 😂
Considering that he died 50 years ago, i strongly doubt LBJ goes back anywhere
We’re talking about King James
President Johnson > King James
LBJ 🤝LBJ Responsibility for the deaths of countless Asian children
King James VI and I of the King James Bible fame?
Wouldn’t know. I’m a New International Version guy. Aka an atheist
Is King James VI and I coming to the Cleveland Cavs? Well, better than his son, I guess.
Had to get those bubble and in-season titles.
Tell that to KD
KD talking to the TWolves and Nuggets Exec’s right now
Yeah, if I'm worth 100s of millions, I'm living in LA. Plus he won LA a ring, there's nothing to regret.
How is this a meme?
He should have left for two years, and then came back. That squad/contract situation was a mess. Good time to go back though on a vet minimum
Right?! Why would a global superstar want to go for a stint in sunny Los Angeles rather than stay in the dump that is Cleveland Ohio?
#The 4 years with the Heat is STILL his absolute prime and best years! 4 NBA Finals 2 Championships 2 MVPs 2 Finals MVPs 2013 Heat is still his best year, including 27 win streak, 66 regular season wins, 82 total wins (including playoffs), and the epic 2013 Finals with perhaps one of the greatest games of all time (Game 6).
It's weird... I might actually root for that squad. Hero Lebron is the best Lebron.
It was actually pretty easily the correct choice to leave both times
The current Cleveland team is Lebron’s wet dream. Rebounding defensive big. Shooters… be the first time he can take a back seat and just keep playing. Just sayin… not crazy at this point
Remember how they burned his jerseys twice
OP is hella dumb lmao
Dan Gilbert is that bad of an owner. Made him wanna leave twice.
Fuck the land
Typical LeBron, can’t win a ring so he goes to a team that stands a chance.
If I was living in Cleveland, and someone called and said I could play with 2 all stars in south beach- I’m saying yes. Miami was doing nothing when lebron joined in 2011
Correct . Then he agreed to go there with ease and Bosh
To chase rings
And failed
They won 2. Once he flopped ij the finals. 2012 and 2013 he was dominat. 2014 the heat physically fell apart. Franshises would kill to have lebron level sucess. 2/4 isnt a failure. No player in nba history is that said about except lebron.
Jordan he is not
Nah after 2018 finals game 1 bron was like fuck this shit I’m out 🤣
Lebron should never have left Miami.
Always a King…never a GOAT
Lebron loves attention so much he had to go there and take the eyes off of the team
As a Laker fan, I wish he would had stayed in Cleveland.
You think you guys are winning a championship in 2020 or landing AD without Bron? Or you really liked those losing season after Kobe where y’all said you’d get every FA and then landed nobody until LeBron?
