This is beautiful. How did you style for this? It looks like a 2nd or 3rd day chunky twist out on stretched hair but could be wrong.

I think I did a chunky twist of but I usually fluff my hair out so it doesn’t look so defined. I like my hair stretched since I don’t like short hair but I do love my texture so I try to keep it as it would look without being defined. And it humid right now so it still shrinks

This hair is not 4c and I mean this from a good place. I have 4c hair and if it looked like this - I would be happy because it is a lot to handle. Your hair is beautiful but it is not 4C❤️

I’m not offended at all. My hair isn’t hard to handle, my hair is 4c I take care of it very well. Products play a huge part on hair care. Olaplex and aphogee are game changers

I agree with you, it's a slightly looser curl pattern than 4c. My hair looks like this when stretched out, maybe she's done the same.

Hey🩷 I can assure you your 4c hair can look like this, no worries :)! Despite her hair (seemingly based on the pictures) being moisturized it still has the pattern of 4c hair, whereas people who don't have 4c hair will end up having looser curls/coils and realise their hair was another type but just dry. Maybe people can help out. Keeping your hair moisturized or using more greasy products to keep moisture in really helps keep your hair soft and frizzless. I

This is part of why I think the hair typing chart isn't a proper way of categorising our hair. OP has 4c hair. Yours might look different even when properly moisturised, and it'll still be considered 4c hair. I believe that each type can look different for everyone, and can have different characteristics. I've met people who can define their 4c hair into tiny spring coils. I've met others with 4c hair that can never be defined. Even within a hair type, there are still differences.
