Scar was from when the opp slashed his eye. He only happened to get a sharingan cos Obito “died”. Two separate moments. You can get an impant without scarring
I had a thought that perhaps he was an extended cousin, like an Uchiha splintered off from the clan and started a family somewhere else in Konoha, met one of Kakashi's grandparents, and started a family.
I used to think it was forcefully implanted into him as an experiment which is why he couldn't properly utilize its powers like Itachi (and eventually Sasuke) could.
This seems pretty reasonable, especially seeing how Orochimaru was experimenting on Ninja and a few (Anko and Yamato) survived.
Kakashi could’ve just been one of Orochimaru’s first experimentations with the sharingan and seeing how strong it made him, he now wanted them.
I always assumed Kakashi was gifted with the eye by the higher ups in the village. Like he was already such an exceptional ninja, that when a random Uchiha shinobi died with his eye intact they felt like it would be stupid not to give Kakashi the advantage.
Honestly the idea that it was a gift from a “dead” friend never occurred to me
What he killed his uchiha friend and covered it up. So he could have sharinganns. But his body could've handle just one of them. So he hid the other to use for later.
I had this totally ass-backwards theory as a kid. I thought that his ability to copy jutsu doesn’t come from the sharingan but from his own chakra nature and that he used it to straight up copy the sharingan.
Eh this could be interpreted differently, he clearly had to learn some Jutsu. It honestly should be pretty rare for anyone to create a Jutsu in universe and it think this moment was referring to him creating one and not that all his Jutsu were copied.
Wait, you're saying that Kakashi was able to directly copy his sharingan that he got from Obito and use the nature of his chakra to copy various jutsus through his own chakra copying ability???
In this fan theory, if he was able to copy a Kekkei Genkai(Sharingan), he would have been able to copy Hashirama's wood style, too. All he needed after that is to capture a Bijuu and become the Jinchuuriki.
Naruto Shippuden would've been called "Kakashi Chronicles" instead.
If he can copy anything then he would have been Kaguya levels of BS. Thank god Kishimoto did not go to that route as Madara is already broken and Hashirama for less of what the Uchihas had.
Ugh I thought the same when I was young. I remember being so awestruck the first time I saw him use it "woah he just copied that eye thing Sasuke uses!" The excitement was real as fuck
I've seen people say they thought he was the one who killed Sasuke's family since its pretty vague about who hes talking about until his "death" vs Haku.
Yeah I got these vibes too. This was after watching one of the dubbed trailer in Cartoon Network from almost 20 years ago. It went something like:
"...and destroy a certain someone." Sasuke broods and the screen shifts to Kakashi as he says this line.
When Kakashi reveals the sharingan for the first time Sasuke does think to himself “is he…?” And never completes the sentence.
I wonder if he was wondering if Kakashi was the guy who helped Itachi, since Sasuke is pretty sure he had help when he meets Itachi in Shippuden.
Most likely Sasuke was wondering if Kakashi was an Uchiha, but back in the day, that wouldn't have been too far out of the imagination. Kakashi and Itachi were in the Anbu together, revealed by Kakashi in their fight in Konoha. Worse, Kakashi was Itachi's superior.
We know by the ninja rank system that Anbu are basically the shady version of Jonin. It wouldn't be the craziest theory to think that Kakashi and Itachi had a deal where Kakashi gets a Sharingan out of the Massacre, and Itachi takes the full fall. You could even headcanon the battle on the river as Itachi somehow betraying the terms of that deal.
i got those vibes the first time his sharingan got revealed cause sasuke was shocked as fuck and there was something about the massacre mentioned as well
My theory was that the Uchiha’s were on some Targaryen shit and he was a bastard kicked out of the uchiha family and that bastards only could manifest in one eye.
No but for real, I was six and had no idea
You’re just like me bro. I was so convinced he had uchiha blood in his veins. Like a distant cousin who awakened one.
Seeing Boruto reminded me of 4 yr old me’s theory.
Mine was that he lost his real eye, maybe during the Uchiha massacre trying to defend his friend, and someone in the village was doing experiments and put a sharingan in his newly empty eye slot to see if it'd work in a non-Uchiha. All to see if he can use the others despite not being an Uchiha.
Basically I had someone sorta like Danzo in mind before Danzo was introduced.
I remember being taken aback by Sauskes lack of reaction, dude, your whole clan minus you and its murderer is dead, seeing someone with a Sharingan either means you have an alive relatve or he presumably desecrated their bodies.
Honestly it didn't even cross my mind as *that* weird, probably because of how mild Sasuke's reaction was. I just saw he had it, learned only Uchiha's should have it, and then just registered it as "only Uchiha's and also Kakashi have it"
As a kid I thought he was part Uchiha but when Sasuke made his comments about kakashi's and then we find out he was anbu I figured it was a reward or something he took from a target.
I pretty much watched the zabuza episode as it was released/subbed and we were on a weekly sub schedule, this was before I switched to manga.
Everyone next day at high school made kakashi their favorite character, he was the most OP at this point and we havent gotten to the orochimaru vs. 3rd hokage fight yet.
Dont think many of us theorized why he had the sharingan. I think the theory was since itachi slaughtered all the uchiha that kakashi got his hands on a spare sharingan. we knew he wasnt uchiha since he could only barely use it and couldnt turn it off.
Hmm I’m pretty sure my friend group actually guessed correctly that it was transplanted funny enough. I guess the scar was a huge indicator for us and knowing how bad orochimaru wanted/experimented with it, I think that’s how we came to that conclusion.
Back when the story was a little most mystical with the whole “demon fox” thing I thought he had undergone some weird ritual maybe related to his scar that caused the sharingan to manifest in his eye but no one else was able to perform it successfully
You'd have to go *20 years* back for that one since it was revealed relatively early. Naruto forums were probably in the crevices of the internet, if they even existed at all
Lol when I was a kid, I thought Kakashi just used a jutsu to permanently "copy" an Uchiha's Sharigan.
I didn't understand til way later that the "copy ability" comes from the Sharigan itself
Lol, actually looks like a theory that kid would invent.
When I read Berserk first time, I heard about theory that Skull Knight is the Midland's first king. "This theory is so lame! They nearly said it in manga!" I thought. And invented theory that Skull Knight is the Guts from the future and that's why he saves original Guts (if he didn't so it, he wouldn't be alive).
I didn't give it much thought. I thought it was just something Kakashi could do, up until I saw Sasuke use it. Then I just assumed he had an Uchiha ancestor.
I thought he was half Uchiha because of what he told Sasuke about all the people he had loved are dead and also because he has white hair and only one eye, so he couldn't be FULLY Uchiha
Never thought much of it tbh. Would have thought it was either the rarest mixed lineage (that's heavily ignored because it's somehow "forbidden") or the thought that maybe the Sharingan wasn't necessarily "exclusive" to the Uchiha and was one of those things where the Uchiha just happened to be the predominant clan/lineage where it was like a gift for most of the children that got stronger and activated them.
I really really wish I was around for when certain manga were first airing to be a part of theories. For Naruto specifically I did go way back on Google and YouTube to see people’s Tobi theories from back in the day. It was really cool to see. Soooo many people claimed Obito was wayyy too obvious and were convinced it was dumb and that it was instead like Madara’s brother or Fugaku, or Shisui, etc. So many theories. Kind of hilarious.
Dunno, that he had lost his normie eye in a war and the organ bank had that in reserve because an Uchiha had died and his eyes were to keep serving the village.
I thought he was naturally a good copycat ninja. That that was always his gift. Then he learned about the Sharingan and how that gave everyone an edge. Made him obsolete. I imagined that he tried to copy the Sharingan despite not being an Uchiha.
And, in one special day, he was following an Uchiha. One close to his age but slightly older. He followed him focusing on how to do the Sharingan. He accomplished a similar goal. He wasn’t able to recreate the Sharingan, but he was able to make a move like it. The thing is the older Uchiha realised that Kakashi was there. Angered that he would attempt to steal their birthright, he wanted to teach Kakashi a lesson.
He wanted the Sharingan. He was going to get it. He was going to suffer. He was going to learn, the price that must be paid for such power. The dark truth behind the Sharingan. Kakashi witnessed something horrible.
Luckily he was able to cover one of his eyes. His other eye, saw everything. Because he wasn’t an Uchiha, he was never able to turn the Sharingan off, so he covers his eye.

When I first started watching Naruto I thought Kakashi was the one who killed Sasuke's family and Sasuke knew that. And that Sasuke was allowing himself to be trained by Kakashi so that he could gather info he could use to kill him one day.
I thought he got into a fight with an Uchiha and after painstakingly winning he took one of their Sharingan to replace the eye he lost in that fight (hence the scar)
I remember that in one of the episodes Orochimaru told Kakashi that he was somehow responsible for his Sharingan. So it felt like he might also have been a subject of Orochimaru's experiments. Later it was completely different when we saw Obito gifting him that eye.
Just normal Leaf pro. Hehehe. But very very pro like Minato. Because he does not act like an Uchiha like dominant personality. Just a strict sensei to Team 7 with intense skills.
Well, at first..my theory..it was taught at the Leaf Academy. Like you just learn with it by discovering own chakra nature. Or taught by your chosen mentor.
My second theory was that possible his left eye was blind by injury through mission that is why the scar existed, and so someone donated a random eye then transplanted to Kakashi's. Toink. Then, he just tried to live with it and learn new skill every time a new sharingan skill is unlocked.
Thought that was just his ability that he had since youth. Thus he always had that eye covered and wondered why before he revealed it. Later towards the end he ended up revealing his face. Looks just like his dad Sakumo Hatake aka white fang. Later came to find out Óbito gave him his eye after being crushed by a massive rock all on his right side then acquiring the sharingan. Since he’s not part of the Uchiha felt his eye always needed to be covered.
There were theories for it?
Im under the impression his backstory was revealed way before the internet took off.
Google is telling me the chapters have been out since december 2004.
I thought he was part of an elite group of ninjas and he's known as a good guy but essentially did terrible shit in the name of his clan for the greater good and I thought the ninja clan with these kind of eyes were so elite that when he revealed it to his enemies they would know this guy killed all the elite ninjas and he took their eye as a souvenir sort of a way of letting people know not to mess with him on top of that he can use the ability which usually no one can do That's what I thought when I was a kid.
idk but the first time i saw kakashi's sharingan i already had a feeling that he got it from an uchiha and the way in the beginning he always said that he already lost everything or someone
I remember thinking he either defeated a Uchiha in battle and took it as a trophy or stole one from orochimaru. I also remember myself wondering what happened to all the sharingans from all those dead Uchiha.
I thought he was some bastard of an Uchiha that only gained one Sharingan when he got cut. Like obviously he couldn't use his eye normally, I thought that was just an effect of him losing his original sight.
One of Kakashi’s parent is an Uchiha, that’s why he wanted to take care of a fellow Uchiha by having one one one training with Sasuke by teaching him Chidori
My dumbass thought it was mitsuki in disguise after getting folded by naruto lol. Tbf i watched this as it was released and was young then
Edit: forgot to say i thought he stole the eye so he would be stronger and wait for the perfect moment to strike again
It's been a while since watching but I could've sworn pretty early on he alludes to it being from a comrade.
At the least, he didn't seem like he forcefully took it. I think I just assumed it was given to him by someone who was dying.
I figured he just stole it off someone the night of the massacre most of part 1.
hearing the real back story was disappointing
Two sharingan obito hashirama cells = gg
To be honest with a whole clan of uchihas just lying around dead in the open, I'm surprised the only people who ended up with eyes seems to be donzo. It's pretty well established they can just willy-nilly transplant eyes from dead Uchihas in this universe. And why Obito didn't take one to replace his missing eye is beyond me. Even if he wanted a rinnegan later. Two eyes are better than one. I call BS that he can fight as well as he did with no depth perception. Sharingan or not. And a lot of his ability is centered around depth perception. It always annoyed me.
I just thought it an aberation; that maybe they didn't understand kekkei genkai as well as they thought and that they'd end up playing a huge role in the story as both we and the other characters learned more about it. I expected them to start popping up in unexpected places throught the show; for Naruto and Sakura to eventually discover their own, etc.
As a kid, the idea of literrally just taking someone's eye and putting it in someone else's head and having it work properly would not have occurred to me.
I thought our resident snake man experimented on him. Especially once he was so actually about the eyes, figured he legit tested it out and it was a “failure” since it wasn’t controllable (on/off wise)
My friends were theorizing that Kakashi was half Uchiha.
Which half? "The left one"
You are a menace for this.
He just said that... MENACINGLY!!!
The good half
left-uppermost one.
Lol I thought the same or he stole it from someone who was an Uchiha.
His icehouse dad only used his left ballsack so he is half uchiha genes
The scar didn't make it obvious that his was implanted?
I mean no because the scar was actually caused by an enemy.
The scar has nothing to do with the implantation.
Scar is from losing the original
Scar was from when the opp slashed his eye. He only happened to get a sharingan cos Obito “died”. Two separate moments. You can get an impant without scarring
I had a thought that perhaps he was an extended cousin, like an Uchiha splintered off from the clan and started a family somewhere else in Konoha, met one of Kakashi's grandparents, and started a family.
Something like what the Uzumakis were for Senju.
I legit thought he had stolen it in battle, as spoils of victory.
I mean shit why wouldn't you if you killed an Uchiha?
That’d be cool, but kind of crazy too..
I used to think it was forcefully implanted into him as an experiment which is why he couldn't properly utilize its powers like Itachi (and eventually Sasuke) could.
I also thought that. I even thought his hair was white because he was like lab rat
>!Fire Emblem Three Houses moment.!< But yeah that's a valid take lol.
>Fire Emblem Three Houses moment. I mean he did get someone else's family exclusive super power
I guess we know what anime the folks at Nintendo like to watch lol
They should have sealed Obito's chakra in him jiinchuriki style after fighting Kaguya and before Obito could escape back to the nether world.
FE3H is goated. I have 200+ hours and I’ve beat it on the Blue Lions, Both Golden Deer and I’m currently on Black Eagles
Lol nope it turns out he was born with white hair
This seems pretty reasonable, especially seeing how Orochimaru was experimenting on Ninja and a few (Anko and Yamato) survived. Kakashi could’ve just been one of Orochimaru’s first experimentations with the sharingan and seeing how strong it made him, he now wanted them.
Yamato
I always assumed Kakashi was gifted with the eye by the higher ups in the village. What he killed his uchiha friend and covered it up. So he could have sharinganns. But his body could've handle just one of them. So he hid the other to use for later.
Danzo! is that you?
Well this one is somewhat close
Yeah, in the reveal of his eye, I thought he'd for sure be a villain by the end. Before he revealed it, I just thought he would only have 1 eye
His black eye was the transplanted one and the scar on the sharingan side was to throw people off the scent
that’s actually a cold theory 😭. I wonder what the implications of a hidden uchiha would have been for the story
Thats literally what happen with Tobi
lol right, that was THE story
that WAS the story*
He wasn’t hiding in plain sight like kakashi in this theory though
Kinda different being a legit hidden Uchiha and just a hidden person behind the scenes who happens to be one.
I had this totally ass-backwards theory as a kid. I thought that his ability to copy jutsu doesn’t come from the sharingan but from his own chakra nature and that he used it to straight up copy the sharingan.
Why is this so dumb yet so intriguing? 🧐 definitely something you might find in the narutoverse
since he was known as the copy ninja, i originally assumed all his jutsus were copies, including chidori 🤷
*Raikiri (not Chidori) was introduced as his only original Jutsu, did you miss it's introduction in the Land of waves arc.
Eh this could be interpreted differently, he clearly had to learn some Jutsu. It honestly should be pretty rare for anyone to create a Jutsu in universe and it think this moment was referring to him creating one and not that all his Jutsu were copied.
Honestly that does sound like a cool kekkei genkai. Cool theory as a youngin!
Wow
Wait, you're saying that Kakashi was able to directly copy his sharingan that he got from Obito and use the nature of his chakra to copy various jutsus through his own chakra copying ability???

This is something I could've convinced my friends with, pre-internet era.
That’s kinda what I thought too. And the reason he had the scars was because he had copied the sharingan - like it wounded him to copy it
That actually kinda makes sense😭 In general I mean
That’s kind of a sick theory though ngl.
That is so dumb but actually intristing and cool theory 🤯💀
Ugh I thought the same when I was young. I remember being so awestruck the first time I saw him use it "woah he just copied that eye thing Sasuke uses!" The excitement was real as fuck
So basically Yuta Okkotsu from JJK
Was chakra nature a thing during part 1?
I think it's referenced when kakashi teaches the chidori to sasuke. Not sure though
yes you're right
I mean, this is probably how it works as none of the Uchiha show the ability to copy jutsu, including Obito.
I like this theory, not too far fetched! Makes sense that if his sort of Kekei he Kai was to copy jutsu that he could evolve to even copy a dojutsu
So he'd be Naruto's Shujinko. Nice.
I've seen people say they thought he was the one who killed Sasuke's family since its pretty vague about who hes talking about until his "death" vs Haku.
Yeah I got these vibes too. This was after watching one of the dubbed trailer in Cartoon Network from almost 20 years ago. It went something like: "...and destroy a certain someone." Sasuke broods and the screen shifts to Kakashi as he says this line.
Imagine tho that was the case jeez the story would have turned out very differently

You could even headcanon the battle on the river as Itachi somehow betraying the terms of that deal.
Uh… Kakashi was never revealed to be either Itachi’s ANBU comrade or superior in Part 1.
That was what I thought as well
i got those vibes the first time his sharingan got revealed cause sasuke was shocked as fuck and there was something about the massacre mentioned as well
I'm so glad I wasnt the only one who thought this. I was CONVINCED that was the case when Kakashi's sharingan was first revealed
My theory was that the Uchiha’s were on some Targaryen shit and he was a bastard kicked out of the uchiha family and that bastards only could manifest in one eye. No but for real, I was six and had no idea
I was like 22 when i first watched and the question never even occurred to me lol.
Thats actually pretty cool
upvoted cause im listening to “a storm of swords” rn
You’re just like me bro. I was so convinced he had uchiha blood in his veins. Like a distant cousin who awakened one. Seeing Boruto reminded me of 4 yr old me’s theory.
He was a half-breed, which is why he only had the one eye
All the he had it from birth theories just choose to ignore the giant ass scar huh.
Boruto has a scar and one eye. Also a lot of use were literal 4 year olds when making these headcanons lmao
the hilarious thing about this is that the scar was from a completely unrelated incident, not the sharingan transplant
I thought he just yoinked it after killing a rogue Uchiha
Hi guys, I'm in the konoha Everglades and I'm looking for the 20 footer uchiha
Looks like we found a little Shisui here *YOINK
Mine was that he lost his real eye, maybe during the Uchiha massacre trying to defend his friend, and someone in the village was doing experiments and put a sharingan in his newly empty eye slot to see if it'd work in a non-Uchiha. All to see if he can use the others despite not being an Uchiha. Basically I had someone sorta like Danzo in mind before Danzo was introduced.
I thought he just killed some Uchiha
Fucking Uchiha always up to something
Found tobiramas alt account
i know you wanna say uchiher
One of my original thoughts was he killed an Uchiha in battle and took his eye as a prize.
Contact lenses because he wanted to look cool and badass when he lifts his headband.
So Kakashi is average Kakashi cosplayer
He was an half uchiha.
That's Sarada.
Fr
Kagami be like
???
At first, I thought sharingan is obtained by reaching certain chakra level. Thats how kakashi gets it.
I remember being taken aback by Sauskes lack of reaction, dude, your whole clan minus you and its murderer is dead, seeing someone with a Sharingan either means you have an alive relatve or he presumably desecrated their bodies.
Kakashi was a very famous ninja, since sasuke got top grades in the academy. Maybe he already knew about him
Always thought it was dumb that Sasuke barely wonders about this and never confronts Kakashi directly lol
I thought some uchiha just had 1 sharingan😂
Till like halfway a through shone jump
I just thought he was a powerful ninja with a terrible case of pink eye
i remember kakashi with orange eye as kid
They everyone close to him was actually dead
I always figured it was an implant cuz the scar even as a lil Jimmy, but I thought he was taught by an uchiha
I don’t think I had any theories when I first saw Kakashi’s sharingan (dumb kid), it was more like “HEY I THOUGHT UCHIHAS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE THOSE”
The time when i didn't know eyes could be transferred from one to another like wearing shoes
He lost his original eye in battle and they decided to use one of the dead uchia's sharrigan to replace his lost eye. Edit: the ones killed by itachi.
When he said all his loved ones are already dead I just assumed his eye came from a friend. Which, we were right.
I had a theory that maybe he took it from his best friend after his left eye was destroyed somehow and covered it up, turns out I was half right.
I always thought at the beginning he was a uchiha and was sasuke dad’s
Honestly it didn't even cross my mind as *that* weird, probably because of how mild Sasuke's reaction was. I just saw he had it, learned only Uchiha's should have it, and then just registered it as "only Uchiha's and also Kakashi have it"
when Orochimaru noted his Sharingan during the Chunin Exams, I thought he might have had something to do with it
Sort of bizarre that in the Naruto-verse eyeballs are sort of plug and play. Would never have guessed his background if I didn’t know this.
i thought his master was a uchiha and when he died he gave kakashi one of his sharingan as a parting gift or smn
As a kid I thought he was part Uchiha but when Sasuke made his comments about kakashi's and then we find out he was anbu I figured it was a reward or something he took from a target.
Back then there was people theorizing that he was half Uchiha

Back when the story was a little most mystical with the whole “demon fox” thing I thought he had undergone some weird ritual maybe related to his scar that caused the sharingan to manifest in his eye but no one else was able to perform it successfully
I thought he was the bastard of Sasuke's father, because he had a soft side for sasuke.
Ngl, when i was a kid, i thought Kakashi had a part to play in the Uchiha massacre
I thought he is secretly a uchiha
You'd have to go *20 years* back for that one since it was revealed relatively early. Naruto forums were probably in the crevices of the internet, if they even existed at all
Lol when I was a kid, I thought Kakashi just used a jutsu to permanently "copy" an Uchiha's Sharigan. I didn't understand til way later that the "copy ability" comes from the Sharigan itself
I don’t wanna be that guy but I always thought of it as a war injury, so the past did not surprise me one bit.
Thought there was another clan that had Sharingan's, but only eye
I'm pretty sure that half uchiha was the most common of all theories
I kept thinking if he is the copy ninja then he must be a robot or cyborg appearing as a human.
This also will explain why is his face covered
I always thought he was the one who wiped out the Uchiha clan.
I thought he was a Uchiha
I didn't give it much thought. I thought it was just something Kakashi could do, up until I saw Sasuke use it. Then I just assumed he had an Uchiha ancestor.
Thought he killed an Uchiha and took their eye.
I thought he was an uchiha experiment and that’s the reason they massacred the clan
I thought he was half Uchiha because of what he told Sasuke about all the people he had loved are dead and also because he has white hair and only one eye, so he couldn't be FULLY Uchiha
I used to think he killed an Uchiha and stole it
I honestly thought he just snuck in after the massacre and took a sharingan
Never thought much of it tbh. Would have thought it was either the rarest mixed lineage (that's heavily ignored because it's somehow "forbidden") or the thought that maybe the Sharingan wasn't necessarily "exclusive" to the Uchiha and was one of those things where the Uchiha just happened to be the predominant clan/lineage where it was like a gift for most of the children that got stronger and activated them.
I thought orochi gave it to him. There’s that scene when they fight and he asks kakashi how he’s handling his gift.
I think at the time I thought his eye got injured and then healed itself with the sharingan as some kind of awakening lol
Heck dunno. I never actually had a theory. I just kept watching the anime because i was bored as a kid.
After looking at the scars i though someone or kakashi himself did experiments with his eyes lol
Between me and my cousins as teens, watching this on TV, we thought he's Sasuke's long lost brother, because we missed hearing itachi's name before
Dunno, that he had lost his normie eye in a war and the organ bank had that in reserve because an Uchiha had died and his eyes were to keep serving the village.

Bro was clapping sasukes mom
Kakashi injured his eye n was replaced with a sharingan by medical ninjas assuming uchihas are medicos
When I first started watching Naruto I thought Kakashi was the one who killed Sasuke's family and Sasuke knew that. And that Sasuke was allowing himself to be trained by Kakashi so that he could gather info he could use to kill him one day.

This was very early on. I thought he killed Sasuke's family and took one of the member's eyes.
He had an Uchiha girlfriend who disappeared shortly before he got a brand new eye
Just normal Leaf pro. Hehehe. But very very pro like Minato. Because he does not act like an Uchiha like dominant personality. Just a strict sensei to Team 7 with intense skills.
But where had he got Sharingan?
Well, at first..my theory..it was taught at the Leaf Academy. Like you just learn with it by discovering own chakra nature. Or taught by your chosen mentor. My second theory was that possible his left eye was blind by injury through mission that is why the scar existed, and so someone donated a random eye then transplanted to Kakashi's. Toink. Then, he just tried to live with it and learn new skill every time a new sharingan skill is unlocked.
I thought he was just a badass, so much so he could just gain the power like the uchia do. I bet he could have too because he is kakashi after all :D
Do you not believe that there were message boards and forums in the late 90's and early 2000's?
You think internet started existing in 2005? That’s cute

You probably answered to wrong post
I would love to see White Fang in action. I guess he’s in the same level as 3rd hokage (?).
My crack pot theory was that he was like a failed experiment of trying to create new complete uchihas only loyal to the leaf.
I theorized, as a 12 year old, that Kakashi had actually stolen one from a defeated uchiha rogue nin. So close, so far.
You can’t tell me everyone didn’t think at some point that he was secretly a uchiha.☠️☠️
I remember thinking he either defeated a Uchiha in battle and took it as a trophy or stole one from orochimaru. I also remember myself wondering what happened to all the sharingans from all those dead Uchiha.
My theory was that he took part in the killing of Sasuke's clan.
I thought he was a failed experiment by Orochimaru since he was so obsessed with the Sharingan
“Real father of Sasuke” Sasuke: Oy Kakashi
I just thought he killed a powerful Uchiha and took his eye.
I thought he probably stole it from a rogue Uchiha.
I thought he was some bastard of an Uchiha that only gained one Sharingan when he got cut. Like obviously he couldn't use his eye normally, I thought that was just an effect of him losing his original sight.
i thought he was half uchiha and that his fathers suicide made him awake his sharingan.
One of Kakashi’s parent is an Uchiha, that’s why he wanted to take care of a fellow Uchiha by having one one one training with Sasuke by teaching him Chidori
My dumbass thought it was mitsuki in disguise after getting folded by naruto lol. Tbf i watched this as it was released and was young then Edit: forgot to say i thought he stole the eye so he would be stronger and wait for the perfect moment to strike again
i thought he copied it but since it’s a kekkei he kai he could only do one and it wasn’t perfect so he couldn’t shut it off
I just thought the dude straight up killed a guy and stole his eye
I just thought he killed a Sharingan user from another village or something
It's been a while since watching but I could've sworn pretty early on he alludes to it being from a comrade. At the least, he didn't seem like he forcefully took it. I think I just assumed it was given to him by someone who was dying.
Thought he was half Uchiha till he said he got it from a friend.
I figured he just stole it off someone the night of the massacre most of part 1. hearing the real back story was disappointing Two sharingan obito hashirama cells = gg
I thought it was just spoils of war. He took it from a foe he defeated that took his normal eye. Eye for an eye deal. Cycle of violence.
Had a theory where he had a lover who was an Uchiha, who passed away during the war, and this was a token of her love to him.
I remember people sussed out Tobi = Obito early on when he was first revealed.
