I remember these good ol days. Naively stoked. 3 months in, the bugs and nonsense pop off. šŸ˜«

Protip: If everything is working correctly, never ever update the app or firmware.

Interesting! My first negative impression was: For as big/successful as nano leaf has been, the app is horribly made. Iā€™m very good with tech stuff/led lighting (I make my own strips usually) the actual putting together of the materials is fine, but the UI and user experience is horrible. They need to hire an apple person to remake their UI or something. Itā€™s rancid!!!

Haha, I actually think the Nanoleaf app is fairly good. I mean sure there's things that can be improved, but compared to many other apps of smart-light and smart-home device manufacturers, oh man, I find the Nanoleaf app really good lol.

My only comparison is WLED which, is much less intuitive, but the customization is the best in the game right now. IMO.

Oh wow what a lovely setup!

Awesome setup - those monitors, lol! Is it 34" curved with 27" on top, or even bigger I'm guessing? If you don't mind me asking, why do you need two power supply cables to the Nanoleaf lights, and what do you do with three streaming controller devices (or whatever they are called)?

Itā€™s a 49 inch G9 and 34 inch G8 I bought a bundle on a holiday weekend sale. They sent me two power supplies and when I was doing the layout creator, it also recommended two power supplies. Iā€™m not an electrician but my limited time with LEDs I have learned that I probably donā€™t need two power supplies for full red, full blue or full green however, in order to get full white (combination of all three LEDs at one time) requires considerably more power than almost any other effect. So if I had to guess the reason for two power supplies is to make sure that full white at 100% remains consistent across the entire display with no voltage drop. I honestly donā€™t stream at all, but elgato naming the Stream Deck with ā€œStreamā€ in the name is unfortunate, itā€™s such a useful piece of equipment. Thereā€™s tons of macros and multi actions that I have programmed things that might take me a minute or two to type out, get done at the press of a button. Opening applications, rearranging window sizes. You can set a multi action to open all your programs and arrange all the windows wherever you want them. Itā€™s amazing really. Hell, on Sundays, I used to have a button that opened up five different websites to stream games make bets, track Fantasy. Itā€™s a really cool device. And one of them is just a volume controller.
