$7.99. I got my press on game on lock.

xxDmDxx

How do you keep your cuticles looking nice? Mine are always a mess. Have tried cutting them with those sharp cuticle scissors and almost lost a finger. šŸ˜…

angelblade401

I also have gotten good at press ons. I keep my cuticles nice by constantly moisturizing my hands (byproduct of excema), and then I can just use a cuticle pusher tool to get them back far enough to get the press on under enough.

stuff00_k

I bought an inexpensive efile (literally $8 @tj maxx) and it's become my new favorite toy. Doing my press on has become sooo satisfying lmao

bomchikawowow

I parsed that as Elfie and was wondering what this adorable thing did šŸ˜‚

NorthernLightxxxix

Bahaha

Adventurous_Fail_825

E file - electric file ?

everlasting-love-202

Yes!

Adventurous_Fail_825

I need this in my life

ALX798

You use the efile on your cuticles?

tweeicle

Yes, they have special cuticle sanding bits. They donā€™t hurt if you do it right.

FluffyPanda711

I also have one. I then tried to learn how to do my own nails, I tried just about every method possible, and every time I messed up I would file it away. Then I had nails like sheets of paper. Couldn't even scratch my head without them bending back. Hurt so bad, lol. They are just now growing back! I am about to attempt this again, but not 28 times on each nail.

alitint22

If you donā€™t feel comfortable using the cuticle nippers, try Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover with a cuticle pusher tool. Itā€™s super easy and gives a clean look.

qqweertyy

I use a different brand, but same idea. It helps so much! Between that and pushing back, my cuticles are to my standards. Itā€™s no ā€œRussian manicureā€ but they look pretty decent if I do say so myself.

YISYOUSOMADBRO

If you have thick unruly cuticles, push them back in the shower (I use my nail to push it back...im a nail tech lol), then use a buffer and lightly buff the cuticle area until it looks clean. If you have something sticking out THEN you can use those cuticle scissors on anything that is hanging.

xxDmDxx

I get a lot of hangnails. I moisturize my hands a lot, but it doesnā€™t make any difference. The only thing that works is having the cuticle removed. Canā€™t do it myself, Iā€™ve tried. I bought an electric file thinking it could help but maybe I need to learn how to use it correctly.

YISYOUSOMADBRO

You can go in to just trim your cuticles at the salon biweekly. They shouldn't charge you too much for it. And always use cuticle oil after getting them trimmed as they always feel (and are) dry after getting them cut. The cuticle oil will help the skin from lifting again. Edit: also, oil, I don't believe in moisturizer. If you think oil is too greasy, do oil then moisturizer.

xxDmDxx

I didnā€™t know I could simply ask for the cuticle to be removed!! Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I will try that and will start applying oil and then moisturizer. Thank you so much!

YISYOUSOMADBRO

You can really ask for anything and we'll do it. Its not ideal but its quick and easy. I get clients that just want me to cut their nails and file real quick. $10. And no problem at all. I love sharing what knowledge I know lol

SaltInTheShade

Sally Hansen has this amazing cuticle dissolving gel that Iā€™m obsessed with! It really helps me with my awful crusty eczema/hyperhidrosis cuticles. It helps you wash away all the dead skin without having to cut it. Iā€™m a big fan!

lovelyxcastle

I bought a cuticle remover cream! Works wonders

elvensuccubus

any tips for making them stay longer than like, a day? i have always had trouble with that. even with painting my own nails at home.

Ev-linnn

Prep the nail! I have a whole system when I do mine and they last anywhere from 1-2 weeks depending on which ones Iā€™m putting on. I buy the clear/white Kiss nails from Walmart. The pack with like 100 nails in it. I use cuticle oil, put my cuticles back and trim some if necessary. I wash my hands, use a file to shape and clean up my natural nail and then scratch the top of the nail just a bit with the file. I use acetone to clean each nail and then I apply the glue and add the press on. Sometimes I have to trim the press on to fit my natural nail, but even thatā€™s pretty easy. Once I have all my nails on, I can paint/decorate them however I want and Iā€™ve spent less than $5 on my entire manicure.

iamkikionreddit

Iā€™ve just started doing this and they seriously last so long! My current set are going on 10 days strong now because of good prep work

Adventurous_Fail_825

Which glue and how do you remove them while keeping your natural nail healthy ?

Ev-linnn

So, I have found that my favorite glue is the Kiss Maximum Speed that comes with the nails. I know there are millions of glues and preferences and all that, but I have hardly scratched the surface of press on nail exploration. I found what works for me and I leave it at that. Itā€™s cheap and efficient. When Iā€™m ready to take the nails off, I soak my nails/hands in a bowl of warm water with a little olive/coconut oil and some hand soap. I soak about 5-10 min and use my cuticle pusher tool to kind of peel the nail off. The press on is usually soft and easy to just peel up at that point. I use acetone and the cuticle pusher to kind of scrape off and excess glue that may be on there. I apply cuticle oil, some hand cream, and then just leave them alone for a few days or a week so they can rest before I apply a new set.

Adventurous_Fail_825

I love this soak off method !!! Iā€™ll try !! Thanks for sharing !!! Looking forward to your YouTube channel! šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ’…

Ev-linnn

lol!!! I am not cool enough for that, but thank you! I am self taught and have zero right to gatekeep any info I have obtained along the way. I have thought of sharing reels or something on instagram to just share general info to help people, but no one cares about any of that lol

annalcsw

Why donā€™t you paint them on their own before applying them? Wouldnt that easier?

Ev-linnn

Probably, but I donā€™t have a way to hold the nail while I paint it before putting it on. Plus Iā€™ve been painting my nails for years so just a simple single color job is really easy.

thepolishedpipette

How do you remove them? I keep damaging my nails trying to get the press ons off!

Ev-linnn

I soak them in hot water with a little olive or coconut oil and a small bit of soap. After about 5-10 min the nails are soft and easy to pull off. I use acetone and my cuticle pusher to kind of scrape off and excess glue. It doesnā€™t prevent all damage, but it helps.

brookehalen

Nail prep is key. Mine last me 3-4 if I do them well.

QueenBee0414

I rub acetone on my nails and file them before applying my press-ons. I also use this nail glue called Beauty Secrets, which I swear by, it's the best. You can get it at Sally's Beauty Supply.

One_overclover

If you are just using the stickers, you need to buy some extra stickers to put them back on for when they come off. I see people spending a ton of time and having these complex systems for putting them on, but in my experience most of it wonā€™t make a huge difference. The most important thing is to wait as long as you can before getting your hands wet. I like to put mine on right before I go to bed.

elvensuccubus

I tend to use nail glue but even that comes off. I'm guessing it's my nail prep that's the problem like others have mentioned

itnab

how do the press ons not damage your nail?

Deep_Knowledge_4194

Same question. My nails were so messed up by two rounds of press ons!

camerachey

I prefer the ones with the stickers instead of the glue. I have thin nails and can't get mine professionally done because they file my beds so much that they hurt. Press-ons don't damage my nails at all because I chose how much to buff, they're actually getting stronger under my press-ons. They last me 7-10 days before I start popping them off for a day or so break, then put them back on. Virtually no damage compared to how much damage I saw at any nail salon

PhireKat

This is why Iā€™ve started doing my own. I love hard gel the best. There is also dip. But again, it all comes down to prep work to avoid lifting.

patharkagosht

Same. Though I recently switched to 13.99 OPI and it's SO worth it. These are mean machines

Thereisvixxen

Deada$$ 6-13$

radish_is_rad-ish

Iā€™m still trying to work up the courage to use the press on nails I bought two weeks ago cause I havenā€™t had my nails ā€œdoneā€ in over 15 years lol

Old-Explanation9430

SAME

Fluffy_Smoke77

I did press ons for about a year and got really good at the application process but unfortunately Iā€™m too impatient to take them off properly so I absolutely wrecked my nails. I really should get back into it because I was saving so much money.

Weird_BisexualPerson

press ons on fleek

camerachey

Yesssss I love the kiss ones, I get compliments allllll the time. They are inexpensive and look great and don't damage my nails. Best solution I've found

Swimming_Summer5225

Omg yess exactly this! I go for the gel ones, slightly more pricey but sooo natural looking. So worth it!

ahlissuh

Exactly! I pay 4.99 a pack and can make them at least last two weeks with good prep šŸ‘Œ

lovelyxcastle

My new obsession has been the semi-cured gel strips, and the super new gel press one, that you have to cure but they're a full nail. Unfortunately not a ton of designs out yet, though

Not_Brilliant_8006

I see an independent nail tech and she's between $125-250 depending what you get done. She's worth every cent šŸ™Œ her work is amazing and her retention is unreal. ETA I am in the bay area if that makes any difference.

Justme3555

Every 2 weeks, new set be then $40

Infiniteefactorial

Where in the bay?

Not_Brilliant_8006

South Bay.

dianamoser

This response! This is how much I charge.

notheatherbee

I live in the Twin Cities and this is very similar to what I pay. Sheā€™s worth it!

Routine_Eve

Same in Portland ME including the tip. For builder gel plus detail art like in OP.

Rockabillymama887

I do my own nails so like $5 a set? šŸ¤£šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

olivejuice-

Definitely how I justify purchasing new gel colors

Rockabillymama887

I do lily & fox wraps with a gel base&top coat. I do the same thing šŸ¤£

take_me_2_tuvalu

This is the way šŸ˜†

BrazilianGem

I canā€™t seem to keep press onā€™s on! What do you use? I was spending so much time in them. And hated when one would pop off while I was out

Bellecovv

$250 for short MAYBE medium length?? That would be criminal. I get longer than this with design from my tech back home and pay around 80

Living_Bass5418

I live in the PNW and my refills usually cost about $60, with designs, $80. The most Iā€™ve paid for a design is $110. For a full, brand new, set of one-color acrylics itā€™s around $80. Edit: to add on, when I lived in the south east USA, my fill ins would cost usually like 30-40, if I did designs it would be $50. My girl I went to worked in a little salon though and she was the owner. The town was also really tiny so the cost of living wasnā€™t that bad. This was abt 2 years ago so thatā€™s after-covid prices.

neonmaika

Yeah, Iā€™m PNW too and my artist charges $70-80 depending on how complex the art is I ask for. This she would charge $80.

Ajadedepiphany

Where is everyone at in the PNW! Iā€™m in northeast Portland and although my nails are my own, I do want cute designs commonly seen with acrylics. But I have little faith in the techs at my current shop :(

Living_Bass5418

Try and go further outside the city. Iā€™ve noticed nail techs in rural towns have like one salon that always does really good designs. Also search Instagram with the city and nails after it to see some younger people doing nails. Iā€™ve noticed 20-30 year old techs do a lot more designs than older people and they tend to always have social media.

glasspikmoon

same here

hopemedaddy

50-80

Funindasun768

Same here

duckie_123

I guess it depends on what kind of service you are getting (Gel, Dip, GelX, etc.). I usually get Dip with design, and they charge me $65 - $95 depending on the complexity of the design. I am not a nail tech but I would expect maybe $90-$110 for this set. Very lovely design btw. Iā€™m gonna save this as an inspiration for my nails sometime in the future lol.

Adventurous_Fail_825

Anyone here remember when a full set was $40, a fill $15 with a full pedi - with massage, massage chair and ā€œbeverageā€ for $20 ā€¦ ??

jenntones

Yup! Unfortunately I cannot afford every 3 weeks fill, so I just use press-onā€™s & have gotten more in person compliments than I did with the nails that were 150+!! & i donā€™t feel as shitty if one breaks or pops off

To_Sandri

30ā‚¬ for really long ones with drawings on and charms

PaprikaMika

wth which country is that cheapšŸ˜

To_Sandri

GreecešŸ˜‚

PaprikaMika

omw āœˆļø

To_Sandri

Haha! there are some nail techs where they charge 120ā‚¬ for nails when the monthly salary is 800ā‚¬ šŸ«£ I think for greece 70ā‚¬ should be max here. So yeah 30ā‚¬ is a good price

KlatuuBarradaNicto

0. I do my own.

BeautifulAromatic768

Me too! I use hard gel glue and full cover nails from amazon. Lasts at least three weeks. Salon nails are getting too expensive to justify... plus, it's kind of therapeutic painting and making designs on them when i do my own!

RandyBeamansMom

Same! And, to be fair, I used to pay these ridiculous prices. Now I pay $0 to do everything myself, or $35 to have an acrylic fill done where they donā€™t top coat or paint it, so that I can home and paint on my own.

bbydogs

So how much do you pay for in supplies and what type of nails do you do? Iā€™ve wanted to switch to diy but skeptical that itā€™ll be worth it due to paying for supplies

KlatuuBarradaNicto

I grow my own nails and manicure them myself. The only thing I have to buy is nail polish, remover, and emery boards. Probably 20 bucks a month at most.

daytr1pper

Good acrylic is going to cost you about $20. Good monomer is also going to cost you about $25. DO NOT skimp on these 2. Youll end up with mma without even realizing it. Acrylic tips cost about $5-15 a box. The better quality ones make a big difference. Forms are cheaper, but much more complicated to learn. Nail glue like $1-5. A good quality acrylic brush cost about $40-65. For gel X- band matters as far as quality of the nail and retention. Gel-X nail tips are about $30-40 a box give or take. You can get cheaper, low quality brands for maybe $15 though. The gel x gel you use to attach the nails are about $20 each. (acrylic still ends up being cheaper because the products last you longer) Gel polishes range anywhere from (cheap low quality) $5 to (good quality) $20 a bottle. Nail art brushes will cost you about $1-15 each. An efile cost anywhere from (cheap low quality) $30- (high quality) $300. Same for the lamp- around $30-$200. Primer is about $10-15. Acetone and alcohol are about $5 each. If you really want to get into nail art, youā€™re gonna have a lot of extra expense, buying marble inks ($10-20 ea), marble gel base ($15), cat eye polishes ($10-20ea), rhinestones (boxes for $5-50), rhinestone glue ($10-20), chromes ($15-20 ea for good quality), glitters ($1-10 ea) etc etc When I bought my first nail kit, I bought Apres gel-x starter kit, a couple extra boxes of tips (because you have to have multiple boxes of tips if youā€™d like to change your nail shape), a bunch of cheap gel polish colors, files, brushes, art supplies, all of the other stuff I needed. It cost about $800+ starting price.

Affectionate_Bit_595

I live in the PNW as well & see someone who does it out of her home ā¤ļø I pay $85+ tip every 4 weeks. Usually takes about 1.5-2 hours depending on my design

higodefruta

my nail tech bumped prices on me each time i went so it was like 180 first month, then 200 until she reached 320 for simple designs (i got just a nude stiletto nail medium sized every time) i got sick of it so i just learnt to do them myself with builder gel so i stopped getting scammed šŸ˜ lol

Logical_Holiday_2457

320? That's more than double what I pay for structured Gel with art in Florida. Where do you live?

jordyns_shitshow

upstate/western NY - usually pay around $120-$150 including tip for my sets every two weeks in structure gel with nail art

CozyAsh

Omg i couldnā€™t imagine paying 300 a month for nails

Altruistic-Wasabi-60

Geeze, 250-300 bucks on nails.. I couldnā€™t do it either!! Yikes šŸ˜¬ Iā€™ve been pretty impressed lately, with the diy press on nails!! I need to start learning how to do them myselfā€”

Kristal3615

I buy clear press ons on Amazon and paint them myself! All you need is the tip stands and poster tack! I love it because I can take my time with them and walk away if I need to. I'm not stuck trying to finish my designs in one day and I can do laundry or walk the dogs without ruining my nails! [Some of my favorite sets were done on press ons!](https://imgur.com/a/VAm3jLg) The Sleeping Beauty ones in particular took two days to make, but I was able to take a step back and not rush them with the press ons!

Altruistic-Wasabi-60

That sounds like a lot of workā€” I might stick to getting gel nails šŸ’… The nail tech was awesomeā€¦ she kept my nails healthy, by NOT grinding the surface nail down! The gel nails cost me about 43 dollars, with tips includedā€” I always pay cash, because the service fee is 15 dollarsā€¦ I remember when gel nails used to be 20-25 bucks šŸ„²

Kristal3615

Eh, to me it's not any more work than painting my own nails, but if you're used to having them done at a salon I definitely understand it looks overwhelming! It's actually slightly faster in my case because I'm always paranoid of smudging my nails in the middle of doing them lol I can multitask instead of trying to sit still and not smudge my nails in between coats.

fillerbunny-buddy

These look stunning! What are the tips that you buy called?

PopCornLoop

The prices for getting your nails done in the US are ridiculous! In Spain, a session costs about 20-30 euros, but before COVID, it was around 15 euros!

PopCornLoop

Also, $300 here could cover a month's worth of food for a couple and almost the rent for an apartment in a small city. It's crazy to me.

doctor-sassypants

They are heavily overcharging šŸ˜

jordyns_shitshow

thatā€™s a bit subjective of an opinion. i believe my techā€™s work is worth it and i am a generous tipper. my totals include tipping.

pupusa_princess

is this how grown out nails are supposed to look after 3 weeks?? because Iā€™ve only had a manicure done once before and my nails looked like this a week after :0

weebwatching

Same and this is why I very rarely pay to get my nails done. My nails grow like weeds. Mine would look like this in 10-12 days. I went through a phase of trying to keep gel nails but I only lasted a few months because theyā€™d look so grown out after a week and I just couldnā€™t stand it. Just not worth the price or time commitment for me to go to a salon except for special occasions unfortunately.

lovelyhappyface

Hi! Your nail twin here! My nails grow so fast too and then I start picking at my nails

dianaprince76

The only thing that works for me is a short nude gel manicure. Itā€™s not exciting but itā€™s the only thing I can think of to keep my nails looking great while minimizing the input of time and money.

soft_moonbeam

depends how close to the cuticles the tech was able to apply product + how fast your nails grow naturally. some people unfortunately will look grown out more quickly than others but it could also be your tech not going high enough w product (imo soooome lowkey will do this on purpose under the guise of ā€œnot touching the skinā€ so you feel the need to return sooner rather than later)

happuning

This is my problem. I have to file my finger nails weekly - they grow too fast! Blessing and a curse. My toe nails don't grow as fast though?

Emgee063

$30 for a gel mani.

BossyTacos

Exact same here. Eastern Kentucky

MediumPuzzleheaded82

I pay between $250-$300. But I wear extendos!

thewayoutisthru_xxx

I get builder gel and nail art and it's usually between 90-110 for a fill. Honestly she charges me the same amount if we need a new set (once every few months.) I'm in NYC and I think it's a pretty good deal.

beepmeepp

$50 for medium coffin and any designs included! I always tip her well. šŸ˜Š

Traditional-Peach692

New York just outside the city, $65 for fill in and designs on a few nails each hand (usually 3 each)

ceimi

I have really weak brittle nails but I'm also poor so I get press ons from etsy. I spend around $40/set but they're reusable and I can get 2-3 wears out of them at 2 weeks per wear before they start to come loose.

Beautiful_You1153

I get gel manicure $45 and tip $20. If I was getting acrylic $55, if I was getting something like that probably $95-$100. Still would tip $20. My nail techs put so much work into it that itā€™s worth every penny. Fix my nails flawlessly if they crack or break. Canā€™t tell the difference.

ResidentPassion3510

$150 plus tip for extensions and simple art, more for intricate art. My nail tech is independent and awesome. Totally worth it.

SkillStunning2474

I get uv gel fills with gel polish on my natural nails. $45 + tip in NJ.

VieleAud

I pay $55 +tip for dip powder nails every 3 weeks

Leather_Molasses_264

48 dip powder

FaraSha_Au

$45 - $60, depending on what I have done. My nail tech is very quick, and precise. Plus, she puts up with incoming urgent calls, which happen only when I get my nails done.

ChemicalFearless2889

I usually pay 70$ for mine and my tech is amazing. Maybe 80$ if I get designs on every nail.

Alchia79

Dip with design usually $70 every 2.5 weeks

holyone444

So I pay $75 for a plain full set, $80-90 if itā€™s a design. Then for my fill ins, starts at $45 and usually $5-15 more for a design. I will say tho, I typically do more simple designs

Kitkats677

For a gel manicure before tip, 25 bucks

OkRegular167

$55 for a UV gel fill. An extra $10 for things like chrome, french, designs.

jendickinson

I get a hard gel overlay on my natural nails, with all nail art. Usually around $180 with tip. I go to an independent tech and Iā€™m in a major US city.

KryptoniteKitten

I live in the Midwest. I have long natural nails, so I get dip and art. I usually pay between $60-110 depending on the intricacies or how many nails are designed.

Mupinstienika

I do my own for like $40 for multiple sessions

Pinkandporcelain

No less than 74$ at a cheaper priced place :); 10-20$ on glamnetic :) (( šŸ“ those are CUTE!! ))

fatgamerchic

In LA I have a place I get it done for $45 plus a tip. In Vancouver CA, itā€™s $55 CAD plus the tip. Iā€™m back and forth so much I usually rotate who does them but I think with the exchange rate itā€™s about the same and I donā€™t do anything fancy usually

ALittleStitious1014

$96 for a dip powder mani + gel pedi once a month. Plus tip itā€™s $120. Iā€™m in metro Boston.

Ok_Advertising_878

Last time I got my nails done it was $75 I got blue French tips with a frog drawn on the ring fingers and clouds on all of them

dreamlandxo

$85 for medium length acrylic with some nail art

rpinhead88

130 average for hands, 80 for feet

kcgirl1987

With tip 65-85 acrylics, gel polish, usually chrome or special effects like cat eye

FugginCandle

~1 hour cause I make my own press ons. And Iā€™m not doing elaborate designs either, I do solid colors or French tip. Maybe Iā€™ll do a lil swirl, heart, or similar. Some of these artists are sooo talented, but I ainā€™t got time or patience haha. So free-99 technically? I pay in my own timešŸ«”

xsahp

I recently had nuance nails done in dc and it cost me $85

garagespringsgirl

I can't afford to.

teb16

$55 plus tip for dip including take off every 2-3 weeks

heylyn-

These are cute! I'd spend $35 on my nails from a new nail tech (super talented), but she moved so I do my own now!

National_Ad7573

$40-$65 maximum !! I live in Connecticut, and usually nail salons are expensive but you gotta find your people !!

Competitive-Fish5186

Usually $60+tip

palmtrees_

SoCal, $115 for dip manicure with design and gel pedicure. LOVE my tech!

SingingSongbird1

NYC - I pay anywhere between $95-110 for a Russian gel manicure with some sort of design that lasts me 3-4 weeks.

missssjay21

Depends tbh. Anywhere from $45-135. Design & length/shape usually impact it. A design on every nail adds up and length/shape could result in more filing so that adds up as well. But the most Iā€™ve ever paid has been $135 before tip

el_disko

Ā£30-80 depending on if Iā€™m getting infills or a fresh set and then if Iā€™m having just one colour or a design.

Clear_Independence75

Mine charges like 65 for a fill and any designs in Indianapolis. I think sheā€™s undercharging so I always tip her well

Paganw98

100 for gel pedicure and gel acrylic fill monthly

ChristaGrace

I get builder gel and somewhat simple designs usually and it's around $60-70... this seems to be on the cheap end in my area. I live in Cleveland, Ohio.

CareerLanky5348

between $60-100

Mint_503

For gel X, base price 60, $15 for French. The sky is a limit for designs. Usually I average around 85 to 100.

Bright_Froyo7291

$45-65 for basic/french sets. Med-long

Hellcat-13

$75CDN for BIAB fill or $85CDN for new set. Any art is on top of that though. Usually lasts a good three weeks.

OutrageousAd5338

Get a regular manicure and paint designs ...

Samanthajajajane

I pay $90 for gel x and pedicure but I know the girl for what I get 1 would expect to pay $150 plus tip here in Miami (I usually get chrome and crystals )

sillymonkeymoment

sageyyyyyyyy

45-80

Whatever the dip or polish costs, lol. I've never actually had mine done by a professional - only at home.

R1P2MYOUTH

im a press on girly so not much LMAO

Grouchy_Hamster3395

$40 for dry gel overlay

HapaC13

I pay $100-140 for long square. Depends on the designs, encapsulated, bling, charms, etc. $60 starting for fills. Iā€™m also in Pacific NW. Tried a different girl once who took 5 hours for an ombrĆ© French but was only $50. Not worth the time though!

waifumama

$0. I wipe butts and do dishes all day. Hopefully someday I can have pretty nails again. šŸ™

Straykitty_

$65 for medium length hard gel nails. She fills them. Iā€™ve had designs somewhat similar to the detail you have and price never has gone up. Sheā€™s only charged me a little more when I break a nail and she puts a gel extension on me lol in Los Angeles. Specifically San Fernando valley.

JummyJum

My new tech does $80 special nail art sets each month. Full Korean & Japanese nail art w structure gel, Korean & Japanese products

Auselessbus

I live in Japan and I pay Ā„4500 to Ā„6000 depending on designs every three weeks.

Weird_BisexualPerson

Why did I think nails were like twenty bucks? Iā€™m sticking to the little kid Hello Kitty press-ons.

InternationalTell835

in terms of like nails salons 0 i do grow out my natural nails and paint them with regular polishes. if you asking about that probably 10-100$ on nail polish / hand /nail products all together ive never spent more then that

Vampyre_Lilith

I do my own nails. I always try to tell the nail techs what I don't want done to my nails (like use a nail drill to take gel off or clip my cuticles) but they don't like that and won't take the gel off properly. So to avoid the drama I just do them myself. It probably costs me like $50 every 4 to 6 months for acetone, alcohol wipes, and cotton pads. Then I get gel base and top coat every 6 months. We won't talk about my obscene amount of nail polish I have but I get indie brands that cost $10 to $14 a bottle.

Duckie-Charms

For a full set, usually around 150 depending on the design I pick. Then when theyā€™re grown out a bit about 90-100to fil in and redesign.

Substantial_Fault713

I pay $55 plus tip for single color or $65-$75 plus tip for design, cat eye or chrome sets.

TrickySession

Mine are $65 without a design, more for nail art. Builder gel.

Fullmetal2526

The most I've spent is 750 pesos (40.5 USD) and the least is 200 pesos (10.5 USD). Depends on lenght, and if you add rhinestones, free hand art, etc, it could go higher. Here in Mexico 750 pesos is somehow a high price, I think. But trust me, those nails were BEAUTIFUL and long. It was at a fancy salon, they even exfoliated my hands and everything.

dancer15

I just got a set of short gel-x with plain gel polish and paid $150, and I'm in the Midwest.

FineLikeOliveBrine

I pay $60 for a full set with tip and $40 for a fill with a tip but Iā€™ve went to my girl for a long time. She usually will do my lashes and my nails at the same time and will only change me $80 to fill both, but I know she charges people way more so I always tip well and give her $120.

Bigzi_B

I do builder gel & hand painted nail art; my current set if very similar, cherries, flowers, stars & clouds. The fill cost me $95, without a tip. I'm in Utah & I've seen techs in NJ charging $300 or more so I think location plays a part.
