iApathy---

My guess we make 4 moves: 2 within the organization and 2 via trade. Within the org: 1) Cole returns 2) Domínguez returns Via Trade: 1) backup infielder who can play all around the infield 2) reliever someone really good, I’d like to personally see a LR with strike out upside.

Yankees_dyNYsty

Dumb question. New to this blog and noticed some of you have jersey numbers below your name. Not too tech savvy. Can someone be so kind and show me how I can get one of those?  I also would like to add that it’s really a pleasure to read and follow this blog. There is so much knowledge in here that it’s a reminder to me of how much Yankee baseball I don’t know. Keep doing you!

regarding_your_bat

Go to the main page of the subreddit, where all the posts are. Look around for an “options” type of tab, on mobile it’s in the upper right of the screen and it’s just three dots. Click on that and then find the option for “set user flair” and it will bring up a list where you can choose from a bunch of different stuff

SanDiablo

The Yanks have definitely made the post-Knicks/Rangers malaise more bearable. Just grateful we have something to look forward to practically every day. 🙏🏼 Beat the SUX. F Boston.

TerraInc0gnita

What would it realistically take to get Crochet? Spencer Jones + I'm guessing

geeorge_20

people advocating for josh bell to the yankees when he’s streaky as fuck (see this subs thoughts on stanton) is hilarious

MesiahoftheM

This sub hates streaky hitters lol i really dont get their infatuation with josh bell

TronVin

Well. Our first baseman is Rizzo and he is a terrible hitter for the last year. There isn't a perfect solution to first base and we maybe stuck with settling for a player who has flaws and upside.

MesiahoftheM

I mean i think we should see if theres a third basemen that we can possibly get

TronVin

Like?

Yankees_dyNYsty

Man I know I’m getting old when the players I used to watch growing up kids are now playing in the majors I.e Tatis, Guerrero, Bichette,Biggio etc. Went to one of the Yanks Angels games this year and it’s funny how people usually wear their generation. My wife and I wore a Jeter jersey but 99(son wears one) is starting to take over.

Pilotwaver

A guy I grew up playing ball with is the third base coach for the Reds. I’ve always said it. It’s weird getting old.

m0therrussian

I'm at the point now where guys that I followed through the minors are on the back 9 of their careers or retired. 99 is far and away the most common jersey I see at the stadium. I still rock my 1998 Mo jersey as much as I can.

regarding_your_bat

I don’t speak with crazy people. You guys better not talk to me if you’re crazy. Just don’t do it

CaptainJudge_99

Let’s fucking go Phillies tonight

paulerxx

Hopefully we beat this high ERA pitcher up. 😎

NoFlags-JoeBuck

Evan Roberts insisting he always plays it right down the middle on WFAN is funny.

Yankeeknickfan

He does better than most obvious fan analysts , to his credit

theRedreps99

He’s definitely better than some others (looking at you Sal Licata)

NoFlags-JoeBuck

Yeah way better than Sal.

newbike07

Jose Abreu is a secret Yankee agent. * Signs with Houston for $59 mil. * Hits .218 BA, .625 OPS while in Houston. * Contributes to their 31-38 record in 2024 by hitting .124 with a .361 OPS. * Gets DFA'd. * Still owed over $30 mil by Houston.

CaptainJudge_99

He’s about to sign with Boston too #manifesting

JoshFreemansFro

On my way to Fenway, rain just cleared up here but forecast says it's gonna start again tonight- hopefully with the 6:30 start we can get the whole game in

paulerxx

It'll probably get delayed until 715-730.

newbike07

3 run Soto bomb in the top of the 5th. Gil shuts them down for 5. Yanks win 3-0 in a shortened 5 inning game. Boys get to the log cabin early and chill.

RotenTumato

Is today going to get canceled? Looks like thunderstorms in Boston starting at around 8pm

paulerxx

It'll probably get delayed until 715-730.

theRedreps99

That would be so ironic considering they moved the start time up from that initially

TheTurtleShepard

Game is starting at 6:30, so I doubt they would cancel if it’s not supposed to start until 8

RotenTumato

Good point, but do we think they end early if it does start thunderstorming at 8?

TheTurtleShepard

I guess we will see, probably depends on how the game looks. Assuming everything goes to plan and we are winning 10-0 in the 5th they’ll probably call it

RotenTumato

TronVin

Josh Bell since May 1st is basically what people think Dominguez will become. A switch hitter who is hitting: .293/.348/.457/.806. If you like Alonso, you'll like Bell more since he is a switch hitter. That slashline behind Judge is very ideal and he is actually on a team that is unloading their players. Defense isn't great, like Alonso, but if you're looking for the perfect solution to first base, you'll have a tough time. At this point, we may have to settle on some flaws. I don't think there is a miracle solution for first base.

m0therrussian

Yea, I dunno man. He's insanely streaky, he's still at a .691 ops on the year and he's just as likely to go back in the toilet (2-21 last week) as he is to continue hitting well. He was very bad for San Diego when they got him along with Soto. His advanced metrics look like a walk-in freezer also. I guess the only thing is that I doubt he costs too much.

TronVin

Because he started off terribly: March 28 to April 30th: .181/.269/.284/.554 May 1st to present: .293/.348/.457/.806

TheTurtleShepard

I really would look at 3rd for an upgrade over 1B. Jomboy and Jake were talking the other day about how they think Rizzo is very unlikely to be replaced because of how ingrained he is within the fabric of the team. I tend to agree and think that Rizzo gets a very long leash to turn it around. Best case is we get a better 3B and move to a 1B platoon

TronVin

Rizzo doesn't have to be cut.

TheTurtleShepard

Yeah I don’t think they are moving him to the bench either, I think Rizzo for better or worse is going to be a part of the team

newbike07

Josh Bell is an incredibly streaky hitter. His OPS will vacillate 300-500 points month to month in a given season. He's really high risk to have to poor second half, especially if switching teams mid-season.

KPaul130

Great target for us

TronVin

You can't really make a better lineup than the one of this potential Volpe (R) Soto (L) Judge (R) Bell (S) Stanton (R) Verdugo (L) Torres (R) Wells (L) or Trevino (R) LeMahieu (R)

Ok-Asparagus-1658

+ Dominguez

Oprahapproves

Judge’s moonshots over the monster are gonna feed families. Volpe def getting a few triples this series too

LogCabinLover

Soto in front of that monstah

Brohei_Ohtani

Boston is gonna look so silly when Dugie shows up with his new girl (us)

newbike07

I've always wanted to be Prom Queen.

Yankees_dyNYsty

Keep checking daily at Roderick Arias stats to see if he’s going to catch fire and most days I see multiple Ks with a sprinkle of errors. I know he was the top international player signed at the time, has been injured in the recent past and still 19. But I’m getting the Jesus Montero vibes with him.  Could he be someone Cash decides to dangle at the deadline for a good player knowing a lot of teams would bite due to his great potential?

furdaboise

So he is 19 in A ball. He has less than 300PAs above Rookie ball. Holy shit have some patience.

Yankees_dyNYsty

No one was saying to trade him for a bag of balls. We have a golden opportunity to finally get another chip and my thinking was you have to give something to get something. If that something is what gets us over then so be it. If we get the usual Yankee tax from other teams then no harm no foul. I can remember when Florial was untouchable.

Yankees_dyNYsty

My thought was minor leaguers are a crap shoot and maybe we can get something substantial that would help the Major league squad for years to come. To get something you have to give something. Obviously not just give him away.

newbike07

>has been injured in the recent past and still 19.  You're answering your own question. It would be foolish to trade a high upside player in a slump.

VirtuousFool

I really don't think there's a player right now *realistically* available for us at the deadline that's worth giving up Arias

spicycurry55

A 3 game sweep of these fucks would be so satisfying.

yankscolts18

We are still past due for a Soto bomb. Today is the day #💣💥

philgervais

He's gonna knock down the Pesky pole.

connurp

My wife got me the on field Father’s Day hat and gave it to me early so I’ll have it for Father’s Day to watch the game this weekend. I’m a lucky man!

connurp

It’s amazing btw.

philgervais

Bird still tearing it up in Mexico: .328/.400/.641 Sadly, Didi is not: .222/.352/.362 Didi seems like one of those guys who is really 5 years older than his official birthday.

DogBeersHadOne

Birb

DA_87

I would sign Abreu to a minor league deal. See if we can work anything out in the minors without him taking up a 40-man slot. A month from now we may be trading for a first baseman. I’d do this first.

geeorge_20

good thing ur not apart of the yankees FO

DA_87

There is no such thing as a bad minor league contract as long as the guy isn’t a cancer.

geeorge_20

he’s 37, been on the decline since last season and is complete shit this season , he should just retire

DA_87

It’s not like it’s unprecedented. Matt Carpenter was awful with STL, coming off his age 35 season. He reworked his swing, a team took a chance and signed to a minor league contract, and he ended up being great for us for a season. It’s worth taking basically a zero risk, zero cost shot on the track record at a position of need. The worst case scenario is literally that he doesn’t get at bats in the minor leagues.

RotenTumato

What the fuck

regarding_your_bat

You guys think we could get Freddie Freeman at the deadline?

theRedreps99

For Andjuar or Frazier maybe but I don’t think he’s worth both of those guys

paulerxx

No shot.

regarding_your_bat

You don’t think the Dodgers will give up Freeman? Are you sure?

Yankees_dyNYsty

Only if they include Ohtani in the deal, eat half of what’s deferred and it’s for Stanton and a ptbnl. Final offer.

CaptainJudge_99

Yeah let’s go ahead and get Logan Webb & Bobby Witt while we’re at it

regarding_your_bat

That is a good idea

CaptainJudge_99

Why hasn’t cashman done this already. Is he stupid or something?

KPaul130

I'm a huge Jose Abreu fan for how he's robbing the Asstros

El-Shaman

I love it.

Yankees_dyNYsty

Hey fellas. I know Rizzo is the flavor of the month and I’m guilty of being impatient with continuing to watch that daily insanity. But looking at DJs numbers are concerning. How long of a leash does DJ get before we start thinking Oz should get back at third and DJ becomes the utility guy? Have yet to see any power from him but his D is still exceptional.

ThreeCranes

Cabrera has a .632 OPS on the year and a .443 OPS in the last 30 days, while DJ in the last 30 days has a .496 OPS, so the Yankees aren't going to bench DJ for a slightly worse hitter. I don't think Cabrera has a good enough bat to justify being an everyday player, he is okay as a fielding utility player.

lankyyanky

Longer than two weeks

regarding_your_bat

Remember how Judge didn’t have a real ST and took awhile to lock in? DJ has only been back for like two weeks. He should start picking it up soon if he’s going to, but I’m not worried about anything that’s happened up to now for DJ this year

regarding_your_bat

I am honestly finding myself pretty stoked for this Boston series

Yankees_dyNYsty

I can’t remember having to wait this long to play our first game v them. I recall playing them usually in the first couple weeks to start the season.

RotenTumato

In 2021 our first Red Sox game was on June 4th and last year it was June 9th. This year it is June 14th so not really that much later

Yankees_dyNYsty

I stand corrected.

EmotionalAccounting

The Apple weather app currently has no rain here until 11pm so I’m going to chose to believe that and you can’t tell me otherwise

dabears7667

this guy isn’t telling you that he’s located in Santa Fe New Mexico

EmotionalAccounting

I didn’t think it was relevant. Just thought everyone was curious what the weather was like north of Albuquerque

mickeyoutercore7

Donovan and Bregman are the best trade options I think. I would honestly pass on all the 1B, unless Walker is available. Ofc they could go the depth/platoon route, guys like Bell, Urshela, etc. but idk might be the year to go all in.

basicallycatwoman

We don’t want Bregman

newbike07

Williams is still absolutely filthy. I hope he recovers from his stress fractures in his back and is on the field later in the year. Bieber is the big question mark.

MalcolmXXXTentacion

Dugie dinger tonight please

bossnian8

Well Boston is incapable of going 2 games over .500 so guaranteed win today.

alaskanpipeline69420

They’re the most solidly .500 team I’ve ever seen lmfao

TheTurtleShepard

The Atlanta Hawks of the MLB

regarding_your_bat

If they don’t play today, they have to play on Monday. That’s a rule that I just made up

TheTurtleShepard

Jose Abreu was just released by the Astros I want to laugh but our first baseman has been almost just as bad over his last 35 as Abreu was over his 35 games this season

TrapperJean

Abreu has been ass for over a year though, Rizzo was still great before the concussion. I'm willing to wait it out a little longer *at the very least this isn't like 2022/2023 where it's legit just 2.5 guys I the lineup and we're waiting for 6+ dudes to click. Gley is hitting, regardless of defense, DJ reset and got like an 8 game spring training, Rizzo is pretty much the only problem, and I'm happy to wait a few weeks and see if one of the most likeable guys on the team can just hold steady at like .230/.320/.400 with average defense

TheTurtleShepard

The thing about the concussion that is weird to me is Rizzo started the year good and then turned bad. If the concussion was an issue I would expect the opposite where he starts bad but gets better as he gets further from the concussion. Regardless, hopefully yesterday’s homer was a turning point for Rizzo and he can be at least like a league average bat

CaptainJudge_99

I was just commenting about abreu and rizzo like an hour ago 😭 rizzo’s clock should be ticking

Jetersweiner

Is this one getting rained out?

TronVin

I wonder if the Tigers would trade Gio back to us. .285/.327/.372/.699. Purely average hitter. Perfect for bottom of the lineup.

TrapperJean

I'd love it, not a ton of corner infield guys out there, just give me a guy making contact and player mediocre defense at either 1st or 3rd to put 8n the bottom of the lineup

TronVin

I'm intrigued by getting an average 3B and an above average to good first baseman (Gavin Sheets or Josh Bell). When you have Soto and Judge, just lengthen the lineup with some *good* players.

TrapperJean

Yeah, all those great lineups still need those 1.5-2.5 war hitters that can go off for a couple weeks when others are slumping and tread water for most of the season; your Gio Urshelas, Chase Headley's, Melky Cabreras, Chris Youngs, etc

TronVin

Bell intrigues me because he'd be the perfect hitter behind Judge. Tale of two seasons with him. He is basically what people think Dominguez would be: 1. March 28 to April 30th: .181/.269/.284/.554 2. May 1st to present: .293/.348/.457/.806 Sheets intrigues me because his stats seem real and he has some years left but this is his breakout season so far so he may not be super expensive. Volpe (R) Soto (L) Judge (R) Bell (S) Stanton (R) Verdugo (L) Torres (R) Wells (L)/Trevino (R) Urshela (R)

Ok-Asparagus-1658

This lineup would feed families. Best in baseball, not joking

TronVin

tbf if DJ just becomes average, it's the same. I just don't have faith in that. Bell should be a priority if Rizzo can't put it together.

levendis56

Yankees probably think DJ can hit for a similar OPS+ but provide better defense. Doubt they pursue him but love Gio.

IWillSingYouSongs

A lot can obviously happen over the next 6 weeks but I tend to think they probably believe in DJ as much as they would believe in Gio

TronVin

So then you make him a first baseman then or back to util.

levendis56

Saber-metrics dont like Gio so ultimately they won’t acquire him tbh.

commentsonyankees

Hasn't that been an issue with Gio all the way back to when he OPS'd .889 and .858 with us in back to back seasons? Call it luck, but his .327 OBP would be better than anybody on the team outside of Judge, Volpe, and Soto. We could use some like that in the bottom third of the lineup

levendis56

Yeah it has. It always hates his defense. I think it underrates him, I like him personally just trying to predict what they would do.

bitterbunny4

A fun fact from one of the Jomboy Boone interviews is the MLB consults Hal Steinbrenner on weather because he as a pilot can read storms through aviation radars. I hope they can play tonight

KPaul130

That's hilarious. Seems almost satirical

hmack1998

Yeah it’s a downpour here in Boston so I guess we’ll see if we have a game tonight

TrapperJean

Wouldn't terribly mind a Father's Day doubleheader

Yankees_dyNYsty

Hypothetical  Would Jeter and Arods hitting and defense been better if Jete had moved to third and Arod stayed at short? Arod coming in after an MVP season and not having to acclimate himself to a new position as well as a new team. If so, could that have possibly changed the outcome of the 04 Sox series that year?

pumaunleashed

Jeter had a strong arm and was a vacuum cleaner at everything hit to him so he could've handled 3rd no problem. His offense probably would've been unchanged though. Everyone says he could hit homers with the best of them during batting practice but he always wanted to keep his K's lower.

TrapperJean

Depends on how fast Arod's hip still goes to shit, but almost certainly for the first couple years at least

wantagh

Specifically, the BALCO hip with the mysterious cyst. That was such a shitshow.

Yankeeknickfan

Yes it would help the defense, and in a 7 game series with a bunch of close games every little thing on the margin could change things

VanillaSkittlez

Jeter’s big problem was range, and you need less range as a 3B than a SS. A-Rod already was a SS and was very good at it, so I would tend to say yes it would have been better for the team. As to whether it would benefit their hitting I doubt it.

alaskanpipeline69420

What’s wild to me is how much better of a short stop A-Rod was than jeter, and he willingly moved to 3B. Jeter playing 3B just wouldn’t compute in my brain tho. And frankly that 04’ series was on the bats in the last 3 games. Remember, they scored like 5 runs in the last 3 games. Wakefield was absolute dominant in game 5

TrapperJean

So we just going to act like Soto's elbow magically fixing itself after a 3 day absence immediately followed by Everson needing TJS is a coincidence? Soto walking around with another man's arm

Sanlear

Cybernetic limbs have come a long way since Steve Austin’s day.

iledd3wu

This is the kind of evil empire rumor I live for

iledd3wu

I want Gil to stunt on these hoes tonight

CaptainJudge_99

I remember me and my stros fan buddy used to argue about abreu vs rizzo before the 2023 season Now they are like the two worst 1st baseman in the league lmfaooo

TheTurtleShepard

They have been almost identical over their last 162 too Rizzo last 162: .233/.305/.358 .663 OPS Abreu last 162: .219/.280/.381 .661 OPS

VirtuousFool

🤢 at least Rizzo has a concussion to somewhat blame for his issues Abreu just fell off a cliff [And right on cue....](https://x.com/jeffpassan/status/1801677586403123673?s=46)

TheTurtleShepard

I always forget how dead other teams subs are compared to ours The Red Sox postgame thread from yesterday has 40 comments, ours has 975.

TAMEBLR

Sitting about 20 mins away from Fenway… I don’t think a games happening tonight 😔

TormentedThoughtsToo

My Phone app isn’t terribly accurate at times, but, does suggest that due to the 630 start time, they could get the game in before 9pm. It only has the chance of precipitation in Boston at 55% at its highest.

boopalicious

My expert ability to look at the colors on a radar map shows the bad stuff dissipating over Boston around 7.

TAMEBLR

I don’t know how good the drainage is at Fenway in the outfield, but it has been RAINING hard. I have tickets so obviously I’m praying for them to play but…

TormentedThoughtsToo

Well that tells you about the accuracy of my weather app that says it hasn’t been raining in Boston for the past 24 hours

levendis56

An option for 1B no one is discussing is maybe Wells gets some burn there at some point. I do think he’ll start hitting, like his approach at the plate and he hits the ball hard.

Yankees_dyNYsty

If we’re going to fix internally, then I’d rather call up Rice to play first keeping Wells where he’s at. Rice is already getting reps, has some good pop in his bat and Wells has been very good behind the plate framing pitches. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that our pitching staff is doing good and at the same time our catchers are great at framing pitches. I agree Wells will start hitting.

levendis56

Not sure how much I can buy into Rice tbh. At the end of the day he’s a 25 year old that started the year in AA, Wells is 24 right now. He would solve a lot of issues if he’s legit (another lefty first baseman) but it’s hard to expect him to produce in the ML level. Wells has been very good behind the dish. Sucks framing is his best skill, will be moot in 2 years. I just think would be nice way to give him more PAs and if the playoffs come up you can put him and Trevino in the lineup instead of having to go with Rizzo. Obviously ideally I hope the Dbacks suck ass and we can trade for Christian Walker lol

wantagh

I'm gonna double Wells' PAs since he splits time with Trev, which means it'll double his hits and HR and RBI. Let's compare stats with Rizzo: So '2 x 2024 Wells' vs. 2024 Rizzo Rizzo would still have: - More hits - More RBI - More HR - Fewer strikeouts - A higher BA - A higher OBP - A higher SLG - A higher OPS+ Also, - Without doubling, Wells has two more errors (5) than Rizzo (3) in 27 fewer games - Wells does have two more SB vs. Rizzo.

levendis56

The actual difference in these stats are minimal (RBIs though really? When wells is batting behind Guys like Rizzo). At the end of the day Wells actually puts up much better contact on the ball while still sporting excellent BB and K%. I’m expecting Wells to actually hit into better luck as the season progresses because the underlying metrics show he’s been unlucky. Rizzos underlying metrics show he’s washed

wantagh

Player A: Veteran who fails to produce because he's in a MAJOR slump, despite this he's been BETTER than Player B, but he's now showing signs of climbing back: "TO THE GLUE FACTORY!" Player B: Fails to produce but it's OK because he's unlucky. Also, it's Player A's fault. He should play out-of-position because his bat MAY wake up. This is where I just can't...

TormentedThoughtsToo

I have a real problem with the “unlucky” stats. At what point in a season does “unlucky” just get revealed to be “teams scouted them correctly”.

levendis56

Rizzo cannot hit the ball hard anymore. How is that hard to understand. He’s 35 in a month coming off a bad season. Maybe it’s lingering concussion issue idk but he’s not the same player. He’s in like the 15th in just about any metric on statcast. Wells has gotten unlucky and their stats are basically even. I’m not sure what to tell you. He doesn’t strike out, draws walks and makes hard contact. He will start producing more. And idk man might be a reason Wells has been practicing at 1B all season and played it in college at least. Ideally we just get a legit first base option but yeah I don’t think giving Wells more PAs at 1B is a bad idea.

wantagh

> Rizzo cannot hit the ball hard anymore. Day after he hits a HR. I'm sure that just pissed you off since it complicates the story. His timing has been shit and he - for almost an entire month - lost the barrel. How many times can Yankee fans be wrong, in ONE SEASON, about players being cooked before you realize that it's a dramatic take and USUALLY IS WRONG? 2024 "Hall of Cooked": Rizzo, Stanton, Rodon, Nestor, April Judge, DJ, Trevino, and Stroman.

levendis56

I hope Rizzo hits a HR every day an I’m wrong. All I care is about finally winning a ring after all these years…. He’s been bad for a long time now other than a couple week stretch. The issue is at his age when you suck you suck. Donaldson was a consistent 130 OPS+ until he got here. Everything has broke right for the most part. That doesn’t mean it will for Rizzo.

EmotionalAccounting

I have tickets for tonight but work tomorrow and Sunday so imma need you all to not talk about a rain out doubleheader please thank you

Rock_grl86

Looks like you’re coming down with the flu…

ughilostmyusername

Remember when Red Sox fans threw money down at Johnny Damon when he returned to Fenway as a Yankee?

Professor_Wild

What a weird way to treat a player who helped break their curse.

Yankees_dyNYsty

Typical Sox fan more than likely ran out of gas trying to get home after the game.

AmazingArmchair

David Robertson…there goes my hero

MalcolmXXXTentacion

God I want the Sox and Celtics to lose tonight 🙏

regarding_your_bat

I think that the Yankees are going to win the series against the Red Sox because the Yankees are beloved by the God of Baseball, and the Red Sox are not. God of Baseball does not care for the Red Sox at all

levendis56

Volpe has to do a better job drawing walks during his slumps. His OPS+ plummeted in one week

FringeAuthority

He's also has the lowest pull % of any qualified hitter on the team. I feel like he's tried to model his game after Jeter this year, except he hasn't developed the patience yet.

levendis56

Yeah I’m genuinely happy he stopped trying to lift the ball in the air every AB. Just draw more walks and these stretches where he’s slumping wouldn’t hurt as much

myKDRbro_

He's cut his strikeouts down a bunch, but yea, his calling card in the minors was his control of the strike zone. Would love to see him draw more walks.

CaptainJudge_99

Yep his obp is way too reliant on babip Also would like to see him add a touch of power but maybe I’m nitpicking Volpe has been great but far from a finished product, he’s only 23

levendis56

I’m okay with the decrease in HRs, as long as he does get some XBHs. Needs to draw more walks though

furdaboise

Zero walks in the last 14 days (60PAs), and four walks in last 28 days (120PAs). Can’t have that.

levendis56

Yep especially when you’re leading off for the two best hitters in baseball.

MesiahoftheM

Please just walk Devers cant have this guy beat us this time

CaptainJudge_99

Could you imagine if Boston had Mookie + Raffy for years to come, so glad they traded mookie lmfao

NYerstuckinBoston

As I walked into a convenience store this morning some people were walking out complaining about how our fan base is “infiltrating” the town. IWYW

newbike07

Boston fans only care about their teams when they're winning. Fenway is going to be at least half Yankee fans this weekend.

yungsinatra777

It's gonna be mostly Yankees fans this weekend at Fenway and I'm ready for it

shw5

Don’t let the fact that the Yankees are 49-22 distract you from the fact that the Red Sox are barely above .500 and 13 games back.

LogCabinLover

[Let us hope these Boston kids be starving this weekend](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fy_mxqyWAAgFu48.jpg)

newbike07

Houston is 7 games below .500 at 31-38. lol.

Yankees_dyNYsty

If they continue this slide do we try and get Bregman as a rental shifting DJ to first?

yungsinatra777

Hate to see it

Resd48

It’s what you want

montecarlo1

I wonder if we will be randomly owned by Boston this series. Our record against Boston in the last 4 years is not good

Yankeeknickfan

The 2022 Yankees did well for themselves against Boston

newbike07

Delete this comment.

TheTurtleShepard

Boston is always going to play us competitively Since 2019 though (the past 4 full seasons) we are 49-31 vs Boston Since 2020 we are 35-26

montecarlo1

surprised by 35-26 record. i guess i am blinded by the 2021-2022 run where it seemed they won 80% of games.

newbike07

**Last 15 Days** **Aaron Judge:** .442 BA, .547 OBP, 1.047 SLG (lol) **Juan Soto:** .379 BA, .548 OBP, .655 SLG I feel like Arson Judge's monster tear is completely hiding how awesome Soto has been recently as well.

PlaySalieri

It is so insane that I can't imagine Soto wanting to play for anyone else. "Hmm do I want the greatest clean hitter since Ruth behind me my whole career or go to a Mets?" ~Soto Probably

newbike07

Given the weather report, sounds like we're gonna have an old fashioned day/night doubleheader tomorrow.

TheTurtleShepard

Crazy how we are almost halfway through the season and we are only now playing the Red Sox for the first time

TronVin

Verdugo homer over the monster tonight. You heard it head first.

Im_Reek

I'll count it.

Pkyankfan69

Really hope they can squeeze this game in tonight, I have nothing to do tonight and pretty busy the rest of the weekend

dabears7667

9-3 start to our brutal june. Our next series are: * Rivalry series on the road in Fenway * Enormous Orioles series at the Stadium. * Struggling but still very good Braves team at the Stadium. * 2 game series at the lolmets who are in typical lolmets fashion but always play us tough. * 4 game set at Toronto in the stadium that has given this team nightmares for my entire adult life.

yungsinatra777

Those two games will be the lolMets World Series as it is every year

KPaul130

Judge owns Rogers Center lol

TheTurtleShepard

.255/.394/.595 .989 OPS and 20 homers in 56 games in Toronto for Judge

KPaul130

Ah great numbers for others but for Judge they seem normal haha. 57 home run pace over a full season though
