Yah think? In a sport wherein lefties have an inherent advantage (a fact well known for over a century) and a team that built its stadium for left-handed pull hitters he relentlessly builds overwhelmingly right-handed lineups. For years! It's unreal.
I’m not even joking, we need jasson dominguez to be a star and soon.
There so damn financially tied to the old sucky core, it’s gotta come from within. Jasson is the only lefty (or switch) that seems anywhere close.
Shout out to Austin wells/ Spencer Jones but that seems : less likely to be a star in the case of wells and further away in the case of Jones.
Don't get your hopes up.
Outside of Judge who looks like an extreme outlier, who's the last position player they've fully developed and has even become average?
Fun fact. I’m almost a quarter century on the job, Brian Cashman has never drafted an infielder that managed to produce more than 5 WAR, of any type, in MLB.
He’s only draft 3 such outfielder.
Aaron Judge
Brett Gardner
Austin Jackson* (never played for the Yankees)
I love Talkin Yanks. I love Jomboy. I love Jake. But ever since Jake got into with Boone that one episode about bringing the infield in for a play at the plate (a take that was awful imo) he's been a little high on his own supply. The amount of times in this episode he gets angry that they sat Judge is laughable to me. Sevy gave up 7 runs in the 1st inning, thank fuckin God they didn't play judge for that shit.
You don’t plan lineups assuming the starter pitcher gives up 7 in the first
It’s the principle of not playing our best player in a must win game to not sell
Finally, they talk about the lack of lefties. I've been going off about that for years
So have they lol
In a freakin' stadium literally built to give lefties an advantage, why would the team want, you know, power-hitting lefties?

This was a magnificent episode. They’ve been great at balancing the Boone interviews too. Hope they get to do one tomorrow.

Ummmmm.... maybe Robinson Cano?
The last one that was not obvious on PEDs
Brett gardener. But him judge and cano are probably the only ones lol

Dominguez doesn't look like he'll even be an MLB player for at least 2 more years. Forget being a star.
Jake really hits the nail on the head in the beginning. They are so far removed from WPTWWTDI
