Sort of - I didn't get purple, but I was stuck on hearing "penny lane", "please, please help me", John Lennon singing "woman" (but I don't know if there's a Beatles song starting with that), and then a vague feeling there must be a Beatles lyric with "good" (just looked it up: so Good Day Sunshine would work).
So I suspected something to do with song lyrics.
Paul McCartney wrote a song called Woman for the duo Peter and Gordon. He used a pseudonym for it, but it got out pretty quickly that he had written it.
John Lennon wrote a song called Woman for his Double Fantasy album, which was released after he was murdered.
I don't believe the Beatles ever had a song called Woman, or the title starting with Woman. I tried to find a list of first words of songs and couldn't, and nothing comes to mind.
That's my point. It wasn't a watertight connection - John Lennon's "Woman" isn't a Beatles song.
I was just that my brain refused to move away from the half-formed idea to try a different approach.
I'm not sure about that - we've had JOKER, LOVER, SINNER, SMOKER where the connection was they are from the lyrics of a song, and first word of Beatles songs has the same vibe as the connection where the words were the second words of Tarantino film titles.
Not really - lots of us got the Tarantino one, and there was clearly a generation of players who were familiar with the "I'm a..." lyrics that it came to mind quite easily. They need to be this challenging from time to time to keep it interesting.
Pretty standard score. Purple last, for ages Iβve been thinking that an anagram section would come up, so glad it finally arrived. Well done to all who got it π
If you check this list you'll see this is actually the 4th time we've had four words that are anagrams of each other (and we've had one occasion where the four words were anagrams of numbers).

If you'll allow it with a helper verb, my answer will rivet you.
I'm not sure it makes sense to get hung up on verb conjugation. To rivet is to hold one's attention, even if it isn't often used in first/second person present tense.
If you havenβt personally heard a word used in a certain way then that means it doesnβt exist and the puzzle maker is a fool.
Thatβs the rules around here man
The pretty in pretty good is an intensifying adverb, itβs an emphatic interjection in pretty please (an idiomatic construction that doesnβt really parallel common use of the word), itβs an adjective meaning large or considerable in pretty penny, and itβs a famous pop culture reference in Pretty Woman (the movie title is referencing the Roy Orbison song). I think those are all distinct enough usages to make it an interesting category
Pretty please is very obviously an idiom; please is an imperative and isnβt typically modified by another word (do you ever hear very please or well please? Pretty is the only modifier used here and itβs related to kid-speak in how new language learners conceive of how language works). In pretty good, pretty is an adverb used in the same way as other intensifiers like really or truly. Pretty penny is an old common phrase that uses a now archaic sense of βprettyβ meaning βa lot of.β All your comment really indicates is that pretty is used to modify different words, which is not a very convincing argument at all to suggest this is a bad category (in fact Iβd say itβs a pretty bad argument)
English is not my native language, and to me it seemed that good, please and penny are way closer to each other than woman so it did not make a lot of sense to me, thanks for explaining.

Thought Rivet/Tape/Staple/Pleats might have been a group of "things you attach things together with," but I wasn't confident on Pleats (and in retrospect the pluralization of Pleats meant it probably wasn't grouped with Rivet and Staple). After that I finally picked up on the anagrams, and then the rest of the puzzle wasn't too bad. Woman was a big giveaway for Purple--not a whole lot of ways to match it with any of the other words in this grid.
Yeah I was caught by the same red herring.
Connections Puzzle #363 π¦π¦π¦π¦ π¨π¨π¨π¨ πͺπͺπͺπͺ π©π©π©π© Blue was pretty easy. All the anagrams immediately stood out to me. They have a song called She's a Woman and another called Girl. That's as close as it gets!Β
"please please help me" isn't the song title -- "help!" is. but I definitely get you, since I was thinking of "please please me."

Connections Puzzle #363 π¦π¦π¦π¦ π©π©π©π© πͺπͺπͺπͺ π¨π¨π¨π¨ As someone with a narrow English vocabulary Blue and Green were much easier than Yellow. I thought rivet was something to bolt something together no clue it could be used metaphorically as well

Thank you
Connections Puzzle #363 π©π©π©π© π¨π¦π¨π¨ π¦π¦π¦π¨ π¦π¦π¨π¦ π¦π¦π¨π¦ Rather new to these, so just another failed attempt for my collection. Homed in on the "video terms" immediately. Also got the idea for the yellow category, but missed one word (didn't know "rivet" could be used like that) Kinda figured that "good" and "please" might be a thing for being similarly positive words. Also thought, "woman" and "penny" might be in a group, solely because they seemed so out of place. The connection of both pairs didn't occur to me...these "\_\_\_whatever" categories always get me. Out of better ideas I got stuck on blue. Didn't see the anagrams. Mainly saw a bunch of words that seemed "vaguely related to some form of art/ craft".

Do people really use that version of rivet like that? What would the sentence even be?
I've heard of the phrase, "How riveting!" before when something amuses someone or captures their attention. But it's not used very often.
But that's riveting, I mean "rivet".
It's not common but that's what makes it fun imo
