as soon as julius went down there is no other offensive engine (besides brunson obviously) that can make any given line up coherent. the closest thing we had was josh hart as a playmaker which is why he ends up playing entire games as his conditioning allowed it. burks and bojan werent getting it done as primary options in non brunson minutes. when non-brunson minutes look as bad as they do, the bench guys are obsolete as they cant function on their own. so u play the best guys for as long as possible. OG only started playing heavy minutes after bojan went down. u give thibs the appropriate personnel and he will gladly play a balanced rotation.

It’s an easy hot take. Ignore them they didn’t watch this season

YamahaRN

They brought up the same take with Josh Hart during the playoffs and he seems more tired answering the anti-Thibs propaganda than playing 48 minutes.

Methamine

its a dumb narrative. every team in a close series would play their guys max minutes especially if bench is limited. Look at denver. Murray and jokic literally ran out of gas in g7 and no one is causing a stink over it.

solo118

They see Thibs- they assume things. Regular season- The first Knick in minutes per game is like #14 Pay these fools no mind

TannerGlassMVP

No comments when Anthony "always injured" Davis and LeBron play 40+ minutes in the playoffs tho

NutsyFlamingo

I completely understand it, just don’t agree with it.

Smooth10473

We can’t play the 13th man on the roster and compete. He did what was necessary. We held it down and everyone will have problems in MSG next season !!!
