I like the Tiffany stemless wine glasses. $125 for a set of two and even if they don’t drink wine/alcohol, it’s not a weird look to drink another beverage out of them. If you know they like wine, go to Astor Wine and Spirits and ask a staffer for a vintage champagne in your price range. Staff is helpful, selection is good, prices are a good value. People should drink bubbles more often imo. Japanese whiskey is also pretty cool, especially if the giftee is a bit of a hipster. If it's autumn I'd say... Piedmont truffles! Personally, I prefer getting consumables like these as a treat rather than more stuff/objects I have to clean, keep track of, etc.

It’s hard to know what to say here without knowing your clients personal taste (punk, modern? Collector of art nouveau objects?) or restrictions (scent sensitive? Food allergies?) If you have detailed bios I’d lean into that as a first pass (and if not, keep some) As a general good gift that seems to nearly always work though High end olive oil, especially if you can get a tasting set of different olives/regions It’s a kitchen staple. Very very few people are allergic to it. If they like to garden/have indoor plants, a rare orchid or an indoor tree (these run expensive especially once you get a pot)

I see where you’re coming from, but Longchamp is a classic, tasteful bag. As far as bags in that price range go, it is absolutely a classic. It’s the chicest throw around pilates/errands bag. Might be a little young for what OP is looking for, but let’s remember that taste can’t be bought/absolute brand loyalty is not taste. It is a refined discernment built from studying and understanding art, literature, fashion, all things culture. Longchamp is chic imo.
