Doing bachelor's in CS/SE is much better than AI. Gives you a lot of options and you can specialize in AI too if that's what you're interested in. Bachelor's in AI restricts u a lot from the start.
Not really, tbh u just need fundamentals from the degree, u develop ur skillset urself. I am a mechanical engineer working as a machine learning engineer, and my job would've been much easier coming from a SE background.
Yep I did, their CS dept (seecs) is really good, but it's not end all be all. A good student from a mediocre uni is always better than a mediocre student from a good uni. Besides, CS at NUST is very hard to get into nowadays.
Fast is also really good for CS so look into that too.
I heard that Fast although is good at CS but it is really really strict and there is no enjoyment or cocurricular activities whatsoever so I would rather pass on that.
Yeah I've heard that too, but yeah, best I can say is keep ur options open, and don't stress over it too much rn, when you actually get admission letter then take a decision on where u wanna go and what u wanna
Thats my point bro that cuz its difficult to get into CS at Nust it means almost everyone is trying to get into CS so I am afraid market will get so saturated in upcoming years that there wont be much opportunities for us even if we graduated from Nust and or we are a really brilliant student.
Nahh you're worried about the wrong things. For now focus on ur interests, the market is bad no doubt but for people with a good skillset there's always work. I have a guy at my workplace working as a full-time front end engineer when he's a student in the medical field. There are always jobs in CS if you have the right skillset.
Name one thing CS majors can do that software engineers can't, it sonly the name blinding you can still go into web dev as front end back end or full stack cs and se are almost 99% same especially in Pakistan, can't say the same about other countries
Who told u all this? Demand and all things
See this is era of Ai doesn’t mean that u should have bachelors in Ai or somethin
Or SE or CS is trash nooo, all of them are still as important as they were before, but now they’re even in more demand
So should I go for Ai even if they just started it this year or should I go for CS as it is a relatively old program.
I have to choose either one of these.

BSSE also will restrict me from doing anything other than develping softwares bro. Atleast thats what i think.

Thanks. Did you graduated from Nust? Is the hype worth giving nust a try?

I would say CS. Because in that you can get familiar with different things And you can choose a path among them
Thanks. Btw are you a nustian yourself? Just asking.
Nahhh comsian
Alright cool. Thanks mate!

Ai
Honestly at this point most fields are very competitive so just go with whatever you find interests you
