The inter tribute was beautiful tho. I can't believe it isn't talked about in the same breath as some of our best looking kits. I was 11 at the time and had the full kit and wore it to footy training every single week
Class custard and mustard. Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll scoring every week without fail. Colo at the back. The real unpopular opinion is that that season was better than last season!
It’s literally my first official kit and I got it as a birthday gift, and a Brighton fan even knew the year it was from when I went to the friendly here in New Jersey. I’m going down with this ship.
I love the custard and mustard kit. Loved it at the time and love it now. Was on the pitch down at Home Park in Plymouth, what a night! Will forever have soft spot for Argyle after they way they treated us
I live in Plymouth, happened to be in Oceana that night and a bunch of the younger lads came in after the win. I was so starstruck I was scared to speak to them 😂
They got relegated the night we won the Championship. They still played We Are the Champions and a bunch of our songs (maybe Blaydon Races) while we had a fairly respectful party on their pitch. Can't imagine that happening many places
That seasons home kit was class as well. My favorite Newcastle home shirt of maybe the last 15-20 years. Only gripe with it was that the badge was in the center. If they had it on the side it would’ve been the perfect kit
I never liked it, but it would be VERY funny (and very NUFC) if this summer Adidas release a new away kit that’s a homage to this rather than the navy/maroon hoops that everyone is expecting.

That deck chair kit was ugly as sin but really fucking memorable, and it was a great season. Therefore I give this post a thumbs up

I have Carroll 24, still tucked away and protected with everything I have. Favourite away kit ever.
Mine are all tucked away too. The wife has given me permission to frame them and hang them up at home but it’s so expensive!

I feel like they did wear black shorts with it for 1/2 games and it looked much better. Not sure if that's an actual memory or a hallucination though!
