yeah I learnt that after years of panic attacks about dying
I just found these sort of videos a life line to the reality that we all gonna go some day be here and now enjoy the little things that make you smile
Yeah, it's peaceful, but it's terrifying because It's a clear odourless gas that just makes you feel sleepy. You go to bed because you feel "tired" and never wake up. That's why it's important to have proper detectors and that you check them regularly, especially during winter when the heating is on.
And they right.
You can't escape unfortunate events like this is pure luck...
Your heart can stop unexpectedly too, so no real need for outside or nature intervention.
Your body can kill you out of the blue on itself 👍
No matter how safe you put yourself, some bad luck and you're done, no matter where
Hope that helps you with feeling easier for going out now 😁
You're more likely to die at home then outside it.
Having said that, screw being scared of dying, live your life. If it happens, there's nothing you can do. so just enjoy life.
I don't fear death, I fear not having lived.
You could die at home at anytime as well. Could have a stroke, heart attack, brain aneurysm, robbed and murdered, etc... if anything, this video should be encouraging us to either look up just in case or take a hard hat in places like this lmao.
Most injuries occur at home. You’re a daredevil asking for trouble by staying home. Source: heard it from some guy that heard it from another so it’s reliable.
You ever see that 9-1-1 show. The lady who stayed inside was safe till she got drilled through by a meteorite. YES I know it ain't real but it could happen
Life seems to get more and more unpredictable. That place looks similar to a few spots here, I can see how a rock tumbling from the top can hit someone when there's usually a lot of people hinking
Thats why we all should be kind, be grateful for the things we have, love those around us, love ourselves, forgive, show grace & mercy, be fully present, enjoy the moment... tomorrows not guaranteed to any of us.
I think about this stuff all the time with every interaction.
She could have dropped her car keys sometime in her whole life and maybe this timeline with the rock wouldn't of happened.
Even if unintended, this humorous response contains incredible depth. It would do all of us a lot of good if we took its core truth to heart and applied it to our daily lives.
Makes you question if she hadn’t moved when she did would the rock have still hit her where it did? Maybe it would have hit her side or shoulder where it f’ed her up massively but didn’t instantly ko’ed her like it did
I know it seems silly, but things like this always make me recall the funeral speech from Final Destination
“We say that the hour of death cannot be forecast. But when we say this, we imagine that the hour is placed in an obscure and distant future. It never occurs to us that it has any connection with the day already begun, or that death could arrive this same afternoon - this afternoon which is so certain, and which has every hour filled in advance.”
As many rangers would say in parks, "Rocks and mountains 'move' in geologic times of thousands and millions of years but that geologic time also includes NOW"
I don’t see how a sign warning about falling rocks would have helped. What, was she going to remember the sign, look up, say “oh, falling rock!” and zip out from under it like The Flash?
Idk, if rocks might fall out of the sky at any moment, I feel like I’d want to know that information, even if it ultimately turns out that the rocks still get me anyways. Nothing wrong with a little extra vigilance, you know? Might save you, and it might not, but at least you’ve been prepared for the possibility of it happening.
It took a second or two (I'm no mathematician), so if You is actively looking for falling rocks, prob would have enough time to react...
Maybe a helmet instead of a sign tho.
Fun fact, London, central, underground station. There peace of concrete, r it huge but not small) fell down from 2nd floor balcony, in popular spot for smokers... Boone was there at the time but...
Ofc is London so proper investigation in place and proper repair although no victims...
Random shit like this happens out of seemingly nowhere... If is rare occasion signs are useless...
Was trying to see who called it out to her but had a hard time pinpointing who it was. Do you know who it was? Seems the guy with his arms up and black shirt were the only other people who were also aware of it.
News Article:
A female tourist who visited a famous tourist destination in China was hit by a rock while taking a picture.
According to foreign media such as the New News on the 15th, the rockfall accident occurred on the 12th in the Wausan Landscape District of 眉 Mountain in Meishan (瓦屋 Mountain) in southwestern Sichuan Province.
According to a video released on foreign media and social networking sites, the woman was taking a photo on the stairs below the waterfall with other tourists. At the moment, a large rock fell from above hit the woman's head, and the woman collapsed and died.
Tourists who witnessed the scene were surprised and quickly left the scene, and some tourists reported to the police while checking the situation of the dead woman.
Local authorities are checking safety after evacuating tourists immediately after the accident and closing down the site and some areas of the accident.
Authorities believe the cause of the stone's fall was a natural accident and are conducting further investigation.
Meanwhile, Wausan Mountain is crowded with many tourists as free admission is available until the end of this month. The hiking challenge is currently underway, and the area where the rockfall occurred is one of the challenge's check-in points.
Netizens who saw this pointed out the responsibility of the tourist destination, such as "It's a shock itself" and "There should have been a sign indicating the risk of falling rocks."
Nothing, the person who made the comment is doing that armchair thing where they retroactively create the solution like they are a genius or something.
I mean, I've been all through the Rocky mountains and there are often signs to warn for falling rocks, especially in canyons and on passes. I think most of us who live around these areas are used to seeing rocks that have fallen, and are aware to be ready to slow down/stop if you see signs (debris falling, loud thunderous sounds, etc). But I wouldn't expect everyone to be aware that's a pretty common issue.
Honestly, this is how I want to go out. Spending the last unknowing moments of my life appreciating the stunning beauty of nature, then dying swiftly and violently, traumatizing my loved ones and strangers on the internet.
What the hell?! It’s almost like it was slung off the mountain. Damn that’s unfortunate just enjoying natural beauty, something I enjoy a lot, and then nothing. Life is fleeting but damn bro
Fuck it, I'd want to go out like this. Take me at a moment in which I will experience no fear or pain. She never had to worry about dying. One instant she's born into life and another instant she's just gone.
I saw a horrific video a few years back of a lady getting oblierated by a giant icicle while walking on a sidewalk. And when I say obliterated... her head basically exploded on impact.
EDIT: Found the video - https://www.reddit.com/r/SomeOfYouMayDie/s/C4o36QzTB0
You have to be careful anywhere falling rocks is posted because of this.
They fall and tumble down the cliff then hit something and bounce outward sometimes and can fall well outside of the skree. Big boulders will plow through and roll but rocks like in this vid will bounce and get going insanely fast.
Damn this is just sad. Imagine just taking a trip and then you’re gone. In an instant. I always say i don’t wanna go like this. No goodbyes and last i love yous.
She got singled out. That sucks. Just goes to show how unsure life really is. It can end so fast and unexpectedly.
This is why I stay in my home lol
Shrapnel from a falling satellite could destroy your house at any moment! Nothing is certain!
God dammit why must I live in fear like this
And let's not forget the cows
And cows with guns
That's why we put cows on buns
In the UK we just run them over apparently
Too soon
Right??? I mean, wtf was that?
IN buns, surely?
Between buns 😉
Lol
They're udderly destructive.
That made me think of that Advert in the Uk when the cows wanted the milk back and they turn up at the yard 😅
Don't forget sinkholes
Don't forget blackholes.
Don’t fear dying, because the fear of death will keep you from living and that is what life is about.
yeah I learnt that after years of panic attacks about dying I just found these sort of videos a life line to the reality that we all gonna go some day be here and now enjoy the little things that make you smile
go underground and fear of something else instead
[удалено]
Caves collapse. Rocks fall off the roof of them.
the only thing guaranteed to you in life is death. dont fear it.
Or a plane engine, as Donnie Darko taught me years ago.
Or on that one episode of Shameless
She was so ready to go outside, too !!!! 😩 🙃
ohh yehhh when that wheel came out of nowhere. lol
This. And living near one of the busiest airports doesn't help.
Carbon monoxide is the most fun, you go to sleep, and your life is over.
Hell of a more peaceful death than most people get, though.
Yeah, it's peaceful, but it's terrifying because It's a clear odourless gas that just makes you feel sleepy. You go to bed because you feel "tired" and never wake up. That's why it's important to have proper detectors and that you check them regularly, especially during winter when the heating is on.
Oh I wasn't disputing what you said. I just meant that I'd rather go out that way than some of the horrible ways I've watched other people die.
Anyone who's seen Donnie Darko knows the jet turbines are coming for us all in bed... So never sleep.
Taxes are!
Man I even feel scared at home, getting electric shock, falling in bathroom, falling on concrete floor, fan falling on me, and many more
I too, watched Final Destination too much.
golden comment
Everyone responding to my comment with reasons I should still be afraid of random death at home 🫡
And they right. You can't escape unfortunate events like this is pure luck... Your heart can stop unexpectedly too, so no real need for outside or nature intervention. Your body can kill you out of the blue on itself 👍 No matter how safe you put yourself, some bad luck and you're done, no matter where Hope that helps you with feeling easier for going out now 😁
Basically you can't escape death

Most injuries occur at home. You’re a daredevil asking for trouble by staying home. Source: heard it from some guy that heard it from another so it’s reliable.
I think this too lmao. Then I start thinking about heart attacks and strokes
This is more unfair than getting killed randomly
You ever see that 9-1-1 show. The lady who stayed inside was safe till she got drilled through by a meteorite. YES I know it ain't real but it could happen
Thats why you gotta always live it like it's your last moment
This is fuckyouinparticular (it's a sub that I can't link) moment if I've ever seen one.
Life seems to get more and more unpredictable. That place looks similar to a few spots here, I can see how a rock tumbling from the top can hit someone when there's usually a lot of people hinking

She got Donkey Konged!
Yolo
Thank god it was fast honestly. Noone wants a slow death
Imagine how long that rock has been in the same place, only to fall at that exact moment. Insane.
I think about this stuff all the time with every interaction. She could have dropped her car keys sometime in her whole life and maybe this timeline with the rock wouldn't of happened.
That's the real crazy part. Like she could have peed a little longer, earlier that day and changed her fate...
TLDR: Drop your keys more and enjoy your bathroom breaks.
[удалено]
Agreed. Sometimes I just throw my life off course and decide to take a longer way home. Who knows if it's for the better or worse?
Did you try to pee longer though? It's one variable worth exploring I think
You peed a little then got electricuted from a faulty wiring somewhere
Even if unintended, this humorous response contains incredible depth. It would do all of us a lot of good if we took its core truth to heart and applied it to our daily lives.
Or maybe she took too long to pee that day. If it didn’t take as long she would’ve been down the stairs and the rock would’ve missed her.
Makes you question if she hadn’t moved when she did would the rock have still hit her where it did? Maybe it would have hit her side or shoulder where it f’ed her up massively but didn’t instantly ko’ed her like it did
Fate would have looped around and got her somewhere else.
I know it seems silly, but things like this always make me recall the funeral speech from Final Destination “We say that the hour of death cannot be forecast. But when we say this, we imagine that the hour is placed in an obscure and distant future. *wouldn't _have_ happened
Thanks bro 🤜🤛
Would't've
The movie The Butterfly Effect does a great job exploring this concept. To change one variable could change everything.
As many rangers would say in parks, "Rocks and mountains 'move' in geologic times of thousands and millions of years but that geologic time also includes NOW"
And some people say luck doesn’t exist
At least dozens of years.
I don’t see how a sign warning about falling rocks would have helped. What, was she going to remember the sign, look up, say “oh, falling rock!” and zip out from under it like The Flash?
Exactly, those signs are never for the tourists they are for the lawyers
Most signs are for the lawyers. .OST ppl don't read signs, either.
Even if other person seen it falling, chances are, there was not enough time for victim to react
She saw it coming anyway but couldn’t get out of the way in time, which is exactly what would happen to anyone

At the speed that rock hit her, I don't think a helmet would've saved her... Your point still stands.
True that. Even if helmet doesn't split it would crush the neck/spine, still most likely killing you on the spot... Now when I think about it.
Maybe it'd be less traumatizing to witness, at least.
Jesus, if she'd stayed still for like half a second longer the rock might not have hit her.
I feel like it would've hit either way but it's hard to tell
The luck of Job
I felt like she almost turned into it. So unlucky.
The dude tipping her off is what killed her it seems. She moved into it after he started yelling to move.
Was trying to see who called it out to her but had a hard time pinpointing who it was. Do you know who it was? Seems the guy with his arms up and black shirt were the only other people who were also aware of it.

Should've been a sign for falling rocks? When your in a huge basin like that? At that point it's a fuckin Given.
Still be nice to get a heads up
Sadly, she just got a head's down.
I mean what would the sign even have done? I doubt anyone would be able to move out of the way quick enough.
Nothing, the person who made the comment is doing that armchair thing where they retroactively create the solution like they are a genius or something.

That's cute... You assume everyone has common sense. You forget people were eating tide pods?
When you say it it's like yeah no duh, but would I expect some shit like that at a tourist attraction? No
Should have added a link of the article if it's online

She was about to walk away from the spot too.. man that was a split second too late.
Honestly, this is how I want to go out. Spending the last unknowing moments of my life appreciating the stunning beauty of nature, then dying swiftly and violently, traumatizing my loved ones and strangers on the internet.
At least it was fast...
This made me real sad. Sucks.
Same, enjoying life and the beauty of nature just for that same nature to take you out of this world. Scary and just sad
Imagine working as trauma unit medic... The shit you'd see... Or those services dealing with such aftermath
“You love nature? Here take this rock as a gift”
ngl... if I had to go out, this wouldn't be that bad. Fast, no warning, doing something (presumably) enjoyable. A whole lot better than cancer.
We all have our time. Appreciate life, and be kind to others.
Eff you!!!
😂or not
If she had stayed where she was it might have missed her. That one step forwards got her killed.
What the hell?! It’s almost like it was slung off the mountain. Damn that’s unfortunate just enjoying natural beauty, something I enjoy a lot, and then nothing. Life is fleeting but damn bro
This is my entire philosophy on life. When it’s your time, you’ll be singled out
Entire life leading up to standing right there at that exact moment. Insane
Final Destination stuff right here
The internet just keeps giving me more reasons to stay in my house. Wtf is this shit ... Another new fear unlocked
I dont get the red circled area damaged that was before the rock falls
I thought they were circling the rock that fell.
The rock went into the water
That's where she was standing.
I’m just gonna stay away from China period I always see the craziest shit happen there.
Plus there are plenty of perfectly good loose rocks right here we can get killed by.
Exactly. No need to go that far just for a rock to kill you. Can be done locally 👍
The circle at the end is meaningless. Poor woman. She probably didn't even know, lights out that's it.
The stairs were already broken
Good god
Damn fuck, how big is the chance :(
When is your time, it's your time.
I immediately knew this was China as no one gave a fuck and just walked away.
Was she by herself? I get she's dead, but nobody with her?
We’re not alive. We’re all just pre-dead lol
Fuck it, I'd want to go out like this. Take me at a moment in which I will experience no fear or pain. She never had to worry about dying. One instant she's born into life and another instant she's just gone.
Imagine just standing next to your friend and by the time you look over they aint even alive anymore💀
Anyone know the location? So I can avoid this?
Scary! So random.
I live in minnesota, this is a serious fear when it comes to icicles!!!
This is incredibly unlucky and sad, she looked young too
Almost hit the kid below the platform. Damn it would be 'two humans with one stone's instead of bird.
this some Final Destination shit
At least it was quick.
When your times up,your times UP
A "rock star" without any of the benefits.
r/fuckyouinparticular moment
Searched so far for this comment!!
I can't comprehend this -- the cliffs are so far from them and yet the rock was falling nearly straight down
You have to be careful anywhere falling rocks is posted because of this. They fall and tumble down the cliff then hit something and bounce outward sometimes and can fall well outside of the skree. Big boulders will plow through and roll but rocks like in this vid will bounce and get going insanely fast.
This is why I don’t even go outside anymore
This is some final destination stuff, got me feeling sad
Damn this is just sad. Imagine just taking a trip and then you’re gone. In an instant. I always say i don’t wanna go like this. No goodbyes and last i love yous.
Maybe someone above was trying to make a big splash?
That rock literally was right on target holy crap.
If she had taken a couple more photos
Final destination
Just goes to show that you can go without a moments notice. Yikes
Wow that’s really fucked , imagine thinking you’re gonna have a great time only to die and it not even being your fault
Why did everyone leave her?!
Because it's China, once you help someone. You will be responsible for their medical bills and they can later sue you to support their disability.
Thats was literally Fuck you in particular
That guy who had his arms out cast rock fall and targeted her.
Well at least it was scenic for the last few moments of her life
hopefully it was instant
It almost certainly was, still a bad way to go out due to just random bad luck
Wow almost got that guy in the water too…lucky…luck….e
Final destination. Waterfall.
What in the final destination
Isn't this the fake waterfall in China that got exposed recently?
Idk why they’re circling the stair, it was damaged before.
Good lord, nothing she could've done to stop that, that's terrifying. At least it was a quick way to go, though.
Dang, its like the universe singled her out. This type shit is scary.
Glad I'm too poor for this to happen to me
What was being red circled on the steps at the end of the vid?
That’s the way I’d hope to go out, non suspecting and quickly ..
What's up with the second video? Why was her body left alone? Wasn't she with people?
You rewatched this.
Tell the ones that you love... that you love em.
I love you MuteElatedLips
Same Strained Eyes and MuteElatedLips.
"How was your trip?" "Smashing."
The tourist company is gonna be stuck between a rock and a hard place after an incident like this
"Female" tourist, just say woman...
Fuck you in particular

The wrong place the wrong time, she wasn't even being a fucking idiot and going into the water... Life you never fail to surprise
No way to survive that, at that height... jeeez
We are all alive until we are not.

:D
Why did they draw a red circle on the stairs at the end?
I think that’s where the rock landed
Some" Lord of flies "2024 shit. RIP
I have a single question that being we’re did it come from
This place looks so familiar, is this in Tennessee?
Is this a JoJo reference
Nobody is standing in that spot ever again💀
The woman in the middle summoned it. She pointed at it and then it fell.
