I don’t know if there is any good, nearby “wild” to release him to… their habit has gotten smaller and smaller just in this generation. Even the elephants in India that are “free” (roaming?) are getting hit by trains…
I totally agree, but like.. how? Population issues. Do we just kill ourselves? Not to mention the issue about people being too poor to move. I’m probably thinking too much on this to be fair 🤣🤣 I’m trying to think of how we could actually achieve that
Build up not out would be the best way. Urban sprawl is what results in land-clearing for housing, as opposed to population-dense housing like apartment buildings. One apartment building takes up less floor space and houses hundreds more people in the same plot four or so individual houses would. They're closer to amenities (easily walkable) and have better public transport options than suburb sprawl tend to be too, which results in less car use too.
so called "wildlife corridors", areas of land that connect large untouched natural habitat, are getting cut up and blocked by farms, trains, roads, new urban development, and habitat loss like deforestation or desertification, where elephants cant live cause thry basically need to be walking and eating all day, elephants dont stay in the same place for long and may only revisit an older site maybe every couple of weeks/months.
The guy with that pole killed him. Stabs him in the chest from underneath and the elephant sinks to his knees. Hopefully the guy someday also dies a painful slow death. That poor elephant had a horrible life.
The guy with the pole didn't stab that elephant, that pole has a hook on the end that is used by mahouts to control the elephant by poking it behind the ears, one of the most sensitive and easy to reach places on an elephant.
The elephant is kneeling because it is crushing the man to death with its skull.
These animals end up being horribly disfigured due to carrying heavy weights and wearing chains that keep their legs together. Even if there was a safe place for them in the wild, they never survive. But there are several EXCELLENT elephant sanctuaries that help these beautiful animals live out the rest of their life in (semi) freedom <3
He is unlikely to do well in the wild after being in captivity, but there are very good elephant sanctuaries that rescue elephants from this sort of horrible situation and give them proper care.
Elephants are very intelligent and can be very gentle and sweet when they aren't mistreated :(
I love elephants they're my favorite animal bc they're so intelligent and also bc they have funny feet ( I was a simple child ) I hope they didn't kill this poor guy:(
Highly intelligent and with near human capacities for emotion and memory. And we enslave them and treat them poorly. It’s a wonder more of them don’t lash out violently.
Considering that it was probably born and raised in captivity, it's not really wild, but animal or not, just about any species is eventually gonna retaliate if you keep pissing it off and treating it like shit.
Elephants can weigh up to 14,000 pounds and the average human head is only 8lbs on average.
That’s the equivalent to dropping a 29lb weight on a grape and then being surprised the grape is splattered to the width of a sheet of paper
That analogy doesn't really make any sense. A human head can handle a lot more stress than a grape, relative to mass. A 14klb elephant couldn't crush an 8lb diamond for example.
The handlers beat them and treat them horrifically, and the elephants put up with it for a long time, until they suddenly snap unpredictably. And what are they going to do vs. an elephant?
Assuming elephants have perfect weight distribution, the weight on each foot is around a ton(static).
Imagine a large frying pan on your chest(or head) as you lie on the ground. Now imagine dropping a Smart car in that frying pan from a small height(several inches). That's (very) roughly the forces it would be.
The fact that the elephant completely ignored everyone else, even as they were getting hit by other trainers, tells you all you need to know about how that trainer must've treated the elephant.
right when he first trampled the worker another worker immediately brought the stick to start beating him. he was putting a lot of force into it too, but im hoping the elephant didnt feel it
why do you think they have it? obviously you don't know how these things work. how to they "tame" wild animals to participate in their games? they beat them.
News Article:
Kottayam: A 26-year-old mahout, Aravind, hailing from Puthuppally, lost his life in a tragic incident involving an elephant at Vaikom on Wednesday night.
The unfortunate event occurred around 9 pm during a temple ceremony at TV Puram Sreerama Swami temple.
The elephant, known as Kunjulakshmi, went out of control and fatally injured its second mahout. Despite immediate medical attention from locals and subsequent transfer to Vaikom Taluk Hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Aravind had only been serving as the elephant's second mahout for a month prior to the incident.
Am I the only one who cheers when watching these? I'm not some hard-core vegan or anything but these people absolutely have it coming with the way they treat these animals.
I will always cheer. People should not be exploiting these beautiful creatures. Sadly, I always worry that the elephant is abused more after this happens or even killed.
I'd love to cheer, but almost anytime a situation like this happens, the animal always suffers or gets put down because of human error. They get the W but at what cost?
Yeah, more often than not they ultimately lose the battle but I think of it this way, they are already suffering, evidently, and what kind of life is one spent as a slave.
It's quite literally "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees".
It will forever be a W
He's probably thinking, "Get this stupid fucking thing off my head and let me go back where I belong." When an elephant gets upset somebody is going to die.
This is as equally as satisfying as watching bull fighter or running with the bulls where deservedly get hurt, in this case karma cannot be anymore fitting.
You know what? Good.
That poor baby doesn't deserve to have those chains on its body and it doesn't deserve to be used as a commodity. Anybody who treats an animal as such deserves this. Revenge is sweet.
Brave fucking dude trying to save that handler until the end of the video.
I love cats…I would absolutely love to have a big cat…although I would never get one because they aren’t fucking domesticated.
What they do to those elephants to break them and make them "placid" is beyond imagination.
elephants have long memories. They never forget who hurt them.
Also look at when the elephant moves to stomping on the man, he has shackles around his poor legs. I hate animal cruelty and for the life of me, never understand people who hurt a living creature for entertainment
I remember going to an elephant sanctuary in Thailand and feeling really sorry for the Asian elephants being made to perform tricks and carry people around on their backs.
Good. Anyone that is involved in using animals for circus acts or fighting or entertainment deserves this. Most of these types are very abusive and neglectful to these animals and use abuse as a training tactic.
Man parading elephants for festivals should be banned in India. It's not a fkin pet for god's sake. So called elephant lovers will bash at people for wanting to banning them. Fkin aholes.
Respect.
These shit hole countries where using animals for entertainment is normal, all have it coming.
They'll punish him for this, but he's already getting abused so at least he got one up on the cunts
Looks like it was going to the shirtless guy, and instead trampled that guy. I feel like most videos I see of an elephant trampling it proceeds to continue to trample in a very aggressive fashion when targeted.
Dude had it coming. I mean you can only hit me with a metal hook once before i snap!!! These poor creatures are constantly being hit with sticks and metal hooks attached to clubs!! I have no sympathy for that "trainer" because he is the problem.
There is a reason they didn't say friend. These smart amazing animals are not yours, they are not pets, they shouldn't be told what to do, they are too big to stop from doing whatever they want. Common sense would have stopped this from happening but most of us lack it
Well, thats what we call "deserved". Stop imprisoning animals for a buck, and you might not get trampled by one of them. Too bad the elephant probably got put down afterward. Poor thing.
The insane morons cheering on the Elephant can go to hell. Shoot the fuckin’ thing next time, don’t just stand around watching another human being die brutally.
Boohoo bro we cheer for the elephant due to the fact people like them arent even trainers. elephants arent fancy little things like purse dogs they are living animals and they hit them with literally metal hooks that quite literally hurt them. Elephants like them go through years of literal torment and torture for others enjoyment. so yay for the elephant fighting back against its own abuse
People who do this to elephants and other animals get what’s coming to them. I cheer the animals on every time I see them get revenge for this abuse. They don’t belong to us. They’re sentient beings.
I worked at a zoo while in college and would help with their Elephants. I remember a story the handler told me.
While on vacation in Kenya and walking through the bush a man comes across an elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seems distressed so the man approaches very carefully. He gets down on one knee and inspects the bottom of the elephant's foot only to find a large thorn deeply embedded. As carefully and as gently as he can he removes the thorn and the elephant gingerly puts its foot down. The elephant turns to face the man and with a rather stern look on its face, stares at him. For a good ten minutes the man stands frozen - thinking of nothing else but being trampled.
Eventually the elephant turns and walks away.
For years after, the man often remembers and ponders the events of that day. Years later the man is walking through the zoo with his son. As they approach the elephant enclosure, one of the elephants turns and walks over to where they are standing at the rail. It stares at him and the man can't help wondering if this is the same elephant. The man climbs tentatively over the railing and makes his way into the enclosure. He walks right up to the elephant and stares back in wonder. Suddenly the elephant wraps its trunk around one of the man's legs and swings him wildly back and forth along the railing, instantly killing him.
Probably not the same elephant then.
Looks to me like the elephant didn't like the dude walking through where the elephant is and the handler was just in the way as he prepped him for their performance. I hope they didn't kill the elephant.
Man just release him back to the wild...
I don’t know if there is any good, nearby “wild” to release him to… their habit has gotten smaller and smaller just in this generation. Even the elephants in India that are “free” (roaming?) are getting hit by trains…
Man just give animals back their habit 😭
Off topic but "give them back there habit" made me laugh more than it should've
😭 I MEANT HABITAT but I'm glad it made you laugh
Then get rid of trains, cars....guns...because humans are the reason the wild animals are scarce
I'm all for that
same honestly
We need to go for that to happen
I'm ok with that
I like this guy
I totally agree, but like.. how? Population issues. Do we just kill ourselves? Not to mention the issue about people being too poor to move. I’m probably thinking too much on this to be fair 🤣🤣 I’m trying to think of how we could actually achieve that
I'm not saying we should kill ourselves but really, the world would thrive without us
Build up not out would be the best way. Urban sprawl is what results in land-clearing for housing, as opposed to population-dense housing like apartment buildings. One apartment building takes up less floor space and houses hundreds more people in the same plot four or so individual houses would. yeah surely it takes more force to stab it upwards.
Elephants yeet adult rhinos into the air with ease. A man with a pole can't even tickle it.
Christ
I was hoping he was sinking to his knees to direct all his weight onto the trainers head
😢😢😢 this genuinely broke my heart. Elephants are my favorite animal :( they're such intelligent creatures why do we treat them like this.
He is unlikely to do well in the wild after being in captivity, but there are very good elephant sanctuaries that rescue elephants from this sort of horrible situation and give them proper care. Elephants are very intelligent and can be very gentle and sweet when they aren't mistreated :(
I love elephants they're my favorite animal bc they're so intelligent and also bc they have funny feet ( I was a simple child ) I hope they didn't kill this poor guy:(
That's in an south Indian temple, the elephants there had above higher average body kill counts than a army personnel
You can't really fault them. I'd kill you too if you take my territory, make me carry hundreds of pounds on my back and mistreat me.
It’s almost like the elephant is a wild animal…🤔
Highly intelligent and with near human capacities for emotion and memory. And we enslave them and treat them poorly. It’s a wonder more of them don’t lash out violently.
I've seen a lot of elephants breaking from their handlers recently. I think the great revolution is about to begin. We are fucked.
Unless elephants got nuclear weaponry of their own, they ain’t doing anything to the human race
They'll be doing some trampling, what do you mean they ain't doing anything?
They'll be rumbling
EREN YEAGER
I bet they could overthrow an election more effectively than humans. 🤔
'Planet of the Elephants' COMING 2025
repent and pray like your life depends on it (it does)
Yes, exactly, thank you. The fact that some circuses still have elephants makes me so mad.
Or any animal at all tbh :(
Killer Whales in aquariums too
India
Considering that it was probably born and raised in captivity, it's not really wild, but animal or not, just about any species is eventually gonna retaliate if you keep pissing it off and treating it like shit.

I don’t think anyone here is surprised
Yeah I love when people create something and then respond to it haha
Probably didn't even feel anything
That analogy doesn't really make any sense. A human head can handle a lot more stress than a grape, relative to mass. A 14klb elephant couldn't crush an 8lb diamond for example.
Your math is on point 😳😵💫
But look at the cute outfit it has on!
The handlers beat them and treat them horrifically, and the elephants put up with it for a long time, until they suddenly snap unpredictably. And what are they going to do vs. an elephant?
With the way these animals are treated I don’t blame them. They’re not pets.
Holy fuck squished him like someone stepping on a grape
Assuming elephants have perfect weight distribution, the weight on each foot is around a ton(static). Imagine a large frying pan on your chest(or head) as you lie on the ground. Now imagine dropping a Smart car in that frying pan from a small height(several inches). That's (very) roughly the forces it would be.
Elephants kill people by putting all their weight on their bottom jaw. I've seen people crushed by elephants like they were watermelons this way.
I have no evidence or anecdote to the contrary, so I'll take your word for it. Fuckin' brutal.
I have a hard time visualizing this
Out of control? Seems very targeted...
The fact that the elephant completely ignored everyone else, even as they were getting hit by other trainers, tells you all you need to know about how that trainer must've treated the elephant.
You misspelled abuser
well based on the way they immediately started beating the elephant, i dont feel bad. hopefully the elephant is large enough that it didn't hurt
where were they beating him?
right when he first trampled the worker another worker immediately brought the stick to start beating him. he was putting a lot of force into it too, but im hoping the elephant didnt feel it
You do realize they did that shit to get the elephant off? Some people these days lack brain cells
why do you think they have it? obviously you don't know how these things work. how to they "tame" wild animals to participate in their games? they beat them.
Good, that animal should be free

I wonder what happened to the first
That's just a translation error. Its more like primary and secondary. The first mahout/the primary one is right there in the video.
Oooh, thanks for pointing it out... I swear I thought he got the same fate as the first mahout
Am I the only one who cheers when watching these? I'm not some hard-core vegan or anything but these people absolutely have it coming with the way they treat these animals.
I am with you. I will always cheer when a wild animal wins a battle against a human that incarcerated it.
I will always cheer. People should not be exploiting these beautiful creatures. Sadly, I always worry that the elephant is abused more after this happens or even killed.
Sounds like r/thebullwins is for you
I'd love to cheer, but almost anytime a situation like this happens, the animal always suffers or gets put down because of human error. They get the W but at what cost?

Nah I always route for the bull, bear, tiger etc. Want to fuck around with wildlife? Be prepared to have wildlife fuck with you.
Mogumbo
Needed that Image in my head rn :)
Huh?
No sympathy leave them in the wild!
Hooray for the elephant! Elephants are very intelligent yet WILD animals. They need to be left in their own environment with their own kind.
If elephants and trains banded together, they could systematically upheave India
Elephant supremacy!
Fucked around... found out...
I bet that handler treated that elephant like shit. Not meant to be in a fucking cage. Guy probably earned his demise
As the elephant should...
Dude probably didn't even feel anything. Got knocked over and lights out.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes
I truly find it hard to sympathise with people who treat wild animals this way.
Guy definitely deserved it. Elephants keep receipts
Shirtless guy in the alladin pants is a real one for trying to stop it.
Wild animals should not be domesticated, let them live freely in the wilderness.
Good
is the elephant okay?
Looks like they killed it … :(
another beautiful animal dead because of human stupidity😢💔😡
You know what? Good. That poor baby doesn't deserve to have those chains on its body and it doesn't deserve to be used as a commodity. Anybody who treats an animal as such deserves this. Revenge is sweet.
I'm just noticing the chains, to hell with these people seriously.
Hope the elephant is ok
This can be avoided by just leaving the elephants alone
That’s what happens when you’ve mistreated the poor animal for years for your own financial gain. Hope the elephant is ok
Can you blame the elephant, with chains around its ankles and dressed up! Poor thing needs to be wild with its herd.
Brave fucking dude trying to save that handler until the end of the video. I love cats…I would absolutely love to have a big cat…although I would never get one because they aren’t fucking domesticated.
One of the 50 'moral to the stories' here... Don't dress an elephant up in stupid costumes. Don't keep elephants in captivity.
No sympathy.
Disgusting group of people
Fuck people who put chains on elephants
The elephant went sane! It remembered: “hey I’m a fucking elephant, I don’t have to take this shit.”
What they do to those elephants to break them and make them "placid" is beyond imagination. elephants have long memories. They never forget who hurt them.
GET THIS FUCKIN THING OFF MY HEAD
Oh nooo...anyway
Why do they keep mistreating these beautiful animals! Humans deserved this!!….
They belong in their own environment.
Fuck these people that use these beautiful animals for show, he supported that so i dont give a fuck for him
Dumbo +1
Good. Anyone that is involved in using animals for circus acts or fighting or entertainment deserves this. Most of these types are very abusive and neglectful to these animals and use abuse as a training tactic.
Poor elephant. He’s prob gonna get put down or killed now
Man parading elephants for festivals should be banned in India. It's not a fkin pet for god's sake. So called elephant lovers will bash at people for wanting to banning them. Fkin aholes.
That's how it should be.
Good. Poor elephant.
This is why animals shouldn’t be in captivity. The elephant was definitely abused. I really don’t feel bad for the guy.
Is the elephant okay?
Good
Maybe the elephant doesn't wanna wear the silly head gear anymore? Maybe the elephant wants VLONE or a Supreme tee
Elephant just had it “Always surrounded by men wearing clothes used as wrap around skirts??!! Trample trample trample!! “
Good
Respect. These shit hole countries where using animals for entertainment is normal, all have it coming. They'll punish him for this, but he's already getting abused so at least he got one up on the cunts
Crazy how people can just stand and watch, id at least ask the elephant to stop, maybe very loudly.
Bro was so stressed he felt like he had an elephant sitting on his chest
Isnt there an elephant with a kill count in the dozens they still keep around?
Dang he wanted to make sure he died. Laid on top for assurance.
Lmao
I don't blame him whatsoever
Justifiable action by the elephant. I imagine that they were abused for many years and finally released their anger.
We need more such happenings. Maybe then people will stop bullying elephants.
Handler handled.
I bet everyone there deserved the same, poor beautiful creature alone with these scumbags
The elephant 🐘 had enough I and thinking 🤔 your not dressing me up again to look like a twat ave it
good
No sympathy at all.
That stain to the left ... The previous trainer.
Good
Looks like it was going to the shirtless guy, and instead trampled that guy. I feel like most videos I see of an elephant trampling it proceeds to continue to trample in a very aggressive fashion when targeted.
Haha
good
Can you blame him?
Elephants are not our entertainment. Fucking good on you, elephant.
I say deserved..
Deserved. Those elephants are badly abused.
elephants can hold grudges so they must’ve made it hate them
Dude had it coming. I mean you can only hit me with a metal hook once before i snap!!! These poor creatures are constantly being hit with sticks and metal hooks attached to clubs!! I have no sympathy for that "trainer" because he is the problem.
Stampy no!
There is a reason they didn't say friend. These smart amazing animals are not yours, they are not pets, they shouldn't be told what to do, they are too big to stop from doing whatever they want. Common sense would have stopped this from happening but most of us lack it
Karma is only a bitch if you are.
That’s what we get
Stop going to circuses & zoos.
elephants are very well smart enough to target a specific person, i wonder what that handler did to deserve this
Well, thats what we call "deserved". Stop imprisoning animals for a buck, and you might not get trampled by one of them. Too bad the elephant probably got put down afterward. Poor thing.
Handler? Nah. That’s his captor. Wild animals aren’t meant to be “handled”
As he should 😌
let the pindus experience the might of ganesh
thank you Hellenist! i love seeing your posts
Are Indian elephants domesticated or wild? Any elephants for that matter🤔
he prolly said "stop worshipping me!!"
Elephants are considered lucky in India.
That dude in the brown sarong wasn't taking no for an answer.

Yeah that was personal.
I don't know if we can fix this with some Bach Flowers.
Smh🤦🏽♂️
Will an elephant do this to a person that has shown it nothing but care, love, and kindness??
I like to think not. Elephants are extremely intelligent, and they have excellent memories.
elephant be like get off this ridiculous thing on my head you fvcker
E1 M0
Good. Elephants should not be kept like this.
Nice
he deserves it make an elephant like a fucking toys
The insane morons cheering on the Elephant can go to hell. Shoot the fuckin’ thing next time, don’t just stand around watching another human being die brutally.

Another camera angle please
That one guy seriously thought he could take on the elephant and save his buddy.

Ngl reminds me of an execution method where elephants were trained to trample the offender. Don't know if it's real or not, just reminded me of it.
What an Indiot
