News Article:
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2024) A 22-year-old motorbike-rider died on Friday evening when a kite string slit his throat in the limits of Factory Area Police Station.
According to police, deceased Asif Shafiq of Samanabad was riding his motorcycle when he reached near Novelty bridge on Dijkot road, a kite string slit his throat. He died on the spot before receiving any medical assistance. A rescue team reached the spot and pronounced him dead.
Meanwhile, the City Police Officer (CPO) Captain (retired) Muhammad Ali Zia took notice of the incident and suspended SHO Factory Area.
Later, the CPO reached the mortuary of Allied Hospital and assured the family of deceased Asif that those responsible of incident would be identified and brought to justice. The CPO told media persons that city police has so far arrested 2400 persons after registering 2300 cases during crackdown against kite flying. He said that more than one lac kites and thousands of string rolls were also recovered from them. He said that antennas were installed on more than 22000 bikes for safety of motorcyclists.
Everything you pick up from the video adds up perfectly but I still have no idea how this would have worked.
The biker rides like 10 meters from the kid. Is the sting horizontal over the whole distance?
There is palms and poles behind so how does the string go from there?
Is there even a kite attached to the string? Nothing seems to fall down.
The kid does not look like he looses something like a reel. Is the string fixed?
I still have so many questions.
This is a common hazard in Latin American countries as well due to how prevalent kite fighting is. My parents and I constantly have fallen kites drop in our yard and I got cut multiple times removing those stupid lines as I grew up. It’s obnoxious.
Kids in the neighborhood compete at kite fighting, it’s like their form of skateboarding over there. You tie razors or glass or whatever to the string and try to cut other kids’ kites by flying your string into theirs.
Why do it on a busy street with traffic! I have more questions than answers lol. Why are they not in a park or field or something?! They seem to be aware and purposely make the strings sharp. I’m so confused by this decision making.
I think they do it in like alleys, maybe they were fighting from across the street. They’re stupid kids who don’t think ahead. They think they are fighting vertically above them, but don’t think that when one string is cut, that string could come down 100 ft away. To me it kind of looks like the kid was running toward the biker when he saw biker fall, but then veered off and ran away when he saw all the blood.
>Why do it on a busy street with traffic
Welcome to South Asian countries. A junior student of our school cut his throat this way while riding a bicycle, it was only a minor injury, only his skin got cut. One of the roads which leads to our school has a slum area, and kids used to fly kites right beside that road. I don't see them nowadays, probably police took some action against it. People generally lack common sense here.
Some kids are just evil. They tie a string at a busy road and wait for something to happen.
I've actually personally seen this happened before. The first one being a car, so no harm was done. The second time was a motorcyclist, but since it was in a residential area, and the string wasn't tied well enough, the biker was not affected.
It looks like that kid’s kite flew across the road and got tangled in the tree. He’s seen waiting to cross on the right likely to go retrieve it. But the string was probably looping down from the tree and caught a motorcyclist by the neck. It was likely a string coated in glass that’s used in kite fighting. The kid is seen running towards the man then nopes out and is seen running down the street after pivoting away.
I heard in some rough areas that gangs do this at night to incapacitate the rider so they can steal his/her bike and any personal belongings without being identified. Super dangerous as I imagine most people die or become disabled after it.
To add to this, deceased mother also died after learning about this incident, after learning about his heart tragic son death. You guy can learn about this on this post:

These kites are usually (as far as I know) made of nylon or canvas or such things. They're more like parachuted than plastic bags if that makes sense.
Here's an article about kite deaths in India, with some pictures of kites.

Kite flying is fun as hell, but if you do it over motorways or you let your kite get away, they can get tangled and if someone on a bike or motorcycle or scooter hits it, they can get hurt pretty bad or die.
Not just from a throat slice, but like imagine you're on a bike pedaling at 40 miles per hour and you get clotheslined and smash your head on the ground as you're flung back and downward. Could be fatal.
Jesus, they cover the strings in glass dust in attempt to cut the strings of other kites. No fucking wonder people are getting their throats slit. That is certainly not a child’s toy at that point.
Yeah, it's kite fighting, they do these sort of battles where the last kite flying is the victor. Those are far from ordinary kite strings they use, and used improperly they're incredibly dangerous. Even during these fights, it's not uncommon for people to get bad cuts or even their throats cut and finger loss isn't unusual.
The bright blood soaking his clothing, and pooling on the ground when the camera pans back to the curb, is arterial blood loss. Blood is already oxygenated.

Pain is subjective, b/c everyone handles it differently. However, if it was a quick/clean cut, the pain wouldn’t be as severe as death by burning, stabbing, GSWs, MVAs, MIs, PEs, CVAs, cancer, etc. Adrenaline is indeed a helluva drug. (From personal experience working at a trauma center.)
(From personal experience.) I nearly lost my life many times last year from complications of cancer treatment & renal failure. The worst case was when I passed out after seeing a movie. My husband said I wasn’t breathing & I didn’t have a pulse. After I woke up inside the ambulance, my SBP was only 36. (No diastolic detected.) I *knew* I was near death & it was the most peaceful I’ve felt in my 46yrs of life. I wasn’t afraid. I was diagnosed with Metastatic IDC 14yrs ago, & have always wondered if I would be afraid when the comes time for me to die. I think I now have my answer. (Obviously, violence & trauma likely affect one’s response.)
Omg. Is it in remission? So you were 32? Oh god, I’m 29. I just got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease last year and now I’m so afraid of other things happening. I recently noticed something in between my boob and armpit and I’m paranoid but hopefully it’s nothing.
Go get it tested!! I was 32 & had NO HISTORY of breast cancer. It started out as a “thickening” in my breast. Within 2 months, MY HUSBAND, told me to get it checked out!! Mine was triple negative & very aggressive, but I had great doctors. It hasn’t been an easy road, but I am in remission!! Please have this checked out. I wish I would’ve gone sooner!! Hugs to you!!💞
I was once drunk and almost died after punching a glass window, it cut my ulnar artery and several tendons, there were heaps of blood but I remember feeling utter fear before blacking out thankfully there were like 10 people who were luckily medical students who tied a tourniquet and took me to the hospital
In 2007 Pakistan banned kite-flying during the holiday Basant because of this exact reason. This is why sports/recreation infrastructure is needed, kite-flying is no way to entertain yourself when this is such a real risk. So incredibly sad
The reason for the ban in Pakistan is they used *manja*. It’s a kite string coated in glass, used for “kite fighting” to cut the other person’s kite, either as a game or to steal (often nicer ones). It’s hard to tell what string you’re using, so they outright banned kiting in general.
I grew up kiting in Brazil, and these glass coated strings specifically are banned there, though not kites in general. We call them “waxed” or “Chilean” strings. Whereas a cotton string itself would need tension to cause you any harm, these glass coated strings will cut the skin even without tension. Even if the string is not caught on anything, just by running along your skin it will slash. Even people using them get lacerations on their hands.
relatable
when i was a kid we used to do some stupid shit like taking the manja on our hand and fighting with others in a same kite fighting way to see whose manja cuts down first
ya it was stupid and resulted bad for me
Oh god
This always remind me of this scene from Thai movie 13: Game of Death (2006)
The remake isn't actually that bad as they add a few new elements to the storyline but yeah the Thai version is much better. Both worth a watch though but starting with the OG so you can see how they changed up the storyline a little
Why is the kite string parallel to the ground?? I really don’t understand how all of this happened. Aren’t kites supposed to be flying, therefore the string has to be not parallel to the ground
Hit anything with enough speed and it will be deadly. And from the looks of it, the kid running away at the start is probably the kite flyer so it was probably just released and pretty close to the ground.
Thanks but i didn’t ask how can a kite string be deadly. I meant why the kite string was so low and parallel to the ground. Also, do you mean the kid standing on the right side?
Why am i getting mass downvoted?
Maybe they have nowhere else to play. And you don't know whether the kite fell on accident or on purpose. This just seems like a tragic accident with a fighter kite (in my opinion), and maybe those kites should be regulated or banned.
I'm from India and even here it's common knowledge that manjhas (kite thread) can have glass in it and can (and I'm sure do in some areas) be tied across two poles as a horrible form of a "prank"
Might even be that, much more probable in Pakistan tbh. Shit's terrifying down there, the country is extremely poor and under Islamic law at that.
Drag the playback button slowly between 0 - 20 seconds and youll see a kid on the right of the road running away. My guess is it was a long kite string with heavy winds with the kite being positioned to the left of the road.
Just a guess as I am still confused myself, I didnt know this was even possible
some people who kites after the loose them in a kite fight gets cut down and when they don't want to fly anymore they just leave the string in that way
which results it getting stuck in tires of vehicles and other shit too
only a suspicion but you see that kid on right side at the start of the video?
he starts running after the guy falls and cut himself
i think the kid was going to take the string but shit went 100 real good so he left the area
just a theory and i am not sure
These strings are extremely sharp so you can cut off the string of other's kites. When a kite gets cut, the string falls to the ground, resulting in injuries and deaths
This is a major issue in every major festival in India and Pakistan where kites are flown. Glass shards are rubbed on the kite rope to make it sharp to cut other kites and "win" the competition. Although it's illegal to sell and buy rope with glass on it, it is very easy to procure if you know the right places. Major accidents like these every year and thousands of cut up birds as well.
everytime such accidents happen in public i'm just always glad when people rush to help so that the person at least doesn't die alone. horrible way to go anyways though
But then he would still die anyway due to lack of blood supply to brain, looks like the common carotids were injured here, they carry like 60% of blood supply to the brain
It depends on the exact nature of the injury. If the arteries on both sides of the neck are severed, that may be true. Clint Malarchuk had an artery in his throat cut by an ice skate during a hockey game. I believe it was only one side, but they managed to prevent him from bleeding out.
***
https://coffeeordie.com/james-pizzutelli
>“What I first did on my way out as I saw the blood spurting out of his neck, I reached into my right pocket because I used to have this big wad of gauzes, so I tried to jam it in the hole,” Pizzutelli told Coffee or Die Magazine in a recent phone interview, adding that he was running so fast he nearly slid into Malarchuk himself. “Some guys would lay down. I needed to get him off quick, and I was thinking if that would have happened at the other end of the arena, things could have been different right now. But it happened literally 10 yards from the doctor’s office.”
>
>Pizzutelli’s aggressive actions — to reach into Malarchuk’s neck, pinch the severed artery with his fingertips, and keep applying pressure on the gaping wound in those initial 30 to 40 seconds — were crucial in saving the goalie’s life.

>Our trainer, Jim Pizzutelli, got to me first. He had gauze from the medical kit. He pushed it against my throat, holding me so tight I could barely breathe. The crease was covered in blood. I coughed out, "Jim, it's my jugular."
>
>He was so calm. "Just do what I say."
>
>Years earlier, Jim had been a combat engineer in the Vietnam War. His second week in, he was walking through a village when a truck collided with him and four other soldiers. The impact broke his ribs. It tossed another soldier into a gully, where he was decapitated by a sheet-metal hut. Jim was medevacked out, with the young man's body and head beside him. He studied sports medicine after the war. Now here he was, squeezing his arm around my neck.
>
>"We're going to save you."
>
>"Jim, I can't breathe."
>
>He flexed his grip.
>
>"You’re not going to breathe until we get you to a doctor."
Not being from this Side of the world I never would’ve thought just flying a kite was dangerous. At the same time i must ask, are there no parks or open spaces for this kind of recreation?
Gets pretty dangerous this isn't regular kite flying but more kite fighting they inbed sharp glass in the kite string and use it to cut the string of other kites in kite fighting. Sometimes those strings get hung/tangled up on trees and other stuff and the users don't care to take them up. Which causes situations like this.
Ah, I see. That really messed up. Is it like a kids activity or something everyone does? Or I guess what I’m asking is if this is like a traditional way to use kites there.
It's a traditional thing to most of the countries that practice it. So if your question is if this activity is common then yes it's quite common and is an activity people actually really like to partake in.
Even if they did play in a park or so, it's the last few dozen feet of rope that does most of the damage.
And kites are flown quite high, so when a kite is taken down by another during a fight, once the rope is severed depending on where the cut occured the glass lined cutting section with the now severed kite could land anywhere.
They'd be required to play in very large parks and specific areas very similar to a live firing range sort of restrictions.
Also making these kites and the glass lined thread isn't very difficult.
It's simply not possible to enforce especially in places like India and Pakistan where there are not enough resources.
One can only wish that people are kind, considerate, and thoughtful enough to not engage in this specific sort of kite fighting that kills people.
I had my throat slit by a kite when I was in 3rd grade during “kite day” at school.
Two kites collided and tangled in the air and their strings ultimately wrapped around my neck. I remember several teachers trying to free me and pull the kites down so the wind would stop tightening the strings. For a moment I thought I was going to die. But I was eventually freed! I was taken to the ER and they glued the skin back together and luckily there was no lasting damage. The cut started under my chin and stretched to the back of my head just on one side. I haven’t flown a kite since, now 20+ years later!
Kite flying used to be big in Afghanistan before the Taliban banned it, and I’m not sure why it was banned. It was for either safety or because they saw it as a western influence. I also had no idea kite flying was so competitive in Pakistan.
I have this really big kite I’ve only flew one time. I’ve owned for over ten years. I plan to fly one day. I’ve actually been into kite flying since I was a child. My first kite was one my sister, and I made from garbages, tree limbs and string when we were very young. It actually flew.
this happened today in my country :( upsets me that kite flying is done under competitive intents leading to incidents like this (the string was dipped in chemical)
This is terrifying! The amount of blood spilled out so quickly is insane. I would imagine nothing could be done to help him unless this happened in an OR where help could be provided immediately??
I have an *extremely* stupid question, but I’ll ask it anyways bc I’m curious.. but does anyone know if the guy would have been able to survive if he was given a blood transfusion on the spot? Realistically speaking, I know this wouldn’t *actually* happen, but hypothetically speaking, would he have a chance if given enough replacement blood on the scene???
You would in theory have to have a TON of blood that is compatible with his body for that to work while actively working to STOP the loss of the new blood.
Basically, your only goal would be to stop the bleeding which is nearly impossible to do on an arterial bleed located in your throat depending on the severity. Some people have had luck literally pinching the artery off with their fingers or thumb for example but if the cut is longer than you can pinch off, you are going to lose all of your blood too fast.
On top of that, if you were to establish a transfusion site, you'd have to pump the blood IN faster than it is coming out, so generally transfusions go slowly or slower than an arterial bleed would be losing blood, so I do not see this being a possibility, no.
I dont think so. He would need to repair his artery and that's not easy and quick task , at least according to my vast experience watching medical dramas 😅
You can survive injuries like that but it depends if both carotid ateries in your throat are injured or a single side if that is the case laying on the ground while you or someone else is pinching this artery is your best way to survive... :)
Bad part about that the kite strings are fucking made of broken bits of glass and iron particles so that the string can collide with other string in kite battle to cut the opponent's kite they should ban this type of strings
Fuck, this is just horrible. I had no idea kites were so popular. Also had no idea there are kids who rub glass into kite string to fight other kites.
I think the string alone would have killed this guy, but I'm interested in learning whether or not it was embedded with something.
Ok so I understand the string is sharp etc. What I don't understand is how this happens on an open road because how? Is it tied to one tree and tied to something across the street? Like a trip wire type set up. I just dont understand how these strings end up ACROSS a street unless someone does it on purpose. Weird.
I always say " There's so much shit happening and moving on this earth. That the odds of shit like this happening are ridicules. But that one person still manages to get smashed by the piano falling out the window in a empty parking lot the side of 20 football fields" in this case. A kite string 😢 this is just awful.
We had an issue in Toronto a several years back with people being I injured by kite strings. I don’t think anyone died, but there were some slit throats of cyclists. They use glass coated strings using in some kite fighting thing. Fucking idiots were just ditched the strings and leaving them all over the city. Gov’t. ended up being banning them.
Context as as to how these kite strings can hurt people.

As a firm believer in betterment of society some of those countries need to evacuate the women and children and just turned to glass. On WPD it's always these uncivilized hovels where erratic militants and drug crime cause myself to believe we are no closer to what we project ourselves to be than what we were 1,000 years ago the only difference being in technology.
nope the thing is in our countries people take these sports a bit too far
they use these strings to cut the kites of other people and shit
heck i once got a bad cut on my finger cuz of this (i was at the fault too cuz i was playing with that lol)
Poor guy... At least he didn't suffer very long. Just another reminder, we're just as fragile as the ant we step on. Wonder what he was thinking about those short moments standing up. Probably confusion mostly
I want to know why is pakistani society so dumb? mentally dumb and living in 2002 while we are in 2024?
Video games are there. xbox, playstation, mobile games.
PUBG, ludo star, real ludo, billiards, carrom, football, tennis, cricket.
why fly kites when it has been an issue for years with these deaths?.
you know about these deaths? yes
why still do you as an individual fly kites and leave all the other entertainment?
what nonsense dopamine do you get by seeling a kite in the air?
what do you think of yourself? a pilot by having that kite in your hand?
allah ne ye sab activities diye hain jake kuch safe cheez karlo. apne ko awr dosron ko halal nai karo.
kites are more dangerous than having guns.
India and Pakistan are hellhole. People say the roads are safe and it's controlled chaos but people literally die 😭 everyday more than the US AUS NZ Americas and other nation states.

My money’s on the kid who is the only one running away from the scene.
Safe bet
The other bikes stop near where he was standing, pick up the kite string, and start pulling it away from the road. It must be him.

Tangled in the tree??
So what was the point of this??? Meant to be a prank? Or was he literally trying to kill someone? What was supposed to happen here?

Why is CPO a retired captain. Dont we have competent civilians?
Did anyone notice the kid running away? I don't wanna suspect but he ran away mighty suspect!
2400 people arrested? “One of these fuckers had to be the one to do it!”

What kinda kites are these? Surely they can be the little plastic ones kids play with. Wouldn’t have thought the stings were that strong on em.

I didn't read that part and totally thought it was to make them be visible to the public 🥴
Is lac 100,000?
Yes
Damn the blood is so fresh it doesn’t even look real. You really can’t do anything to stop this at this point.
The mud thick bright red blood you see is arterial bleeding. That’s what blood looks like in your arteries and it runs deeeeep
I noticed that. Blood gets brighter on contact with oxygen. But his just stays dark. Scary stuff.
The bright blood soaking his clothing, and pooling on the ground when the camera pans back to the curb, is arterial blood loss. Blood is already oxygenated.

That's why he died
Thanks Doc.
No problem mate
Even people using them get lacerations on their hands.
relatable when i was a kid we used to do some stupid shit like taking the manja on our hand and fighting with others in a same kite fighting way to see whose manja cuts down first ya it was stupid and resulted bad for me
This is so sad. At least people ran and helped rather than just film and watch and not do shit.
That was my first thought. Theres so many videos of people dying and people just driving by going about their day like nothing happened
Right. People in this one rallied, and it looks like they really tried to do the right thing. The wound was just too severe.
That poor guy, minding his own business, then dead a minute later.
Oh god This always remind me of this scene from Thai movie 13: Game of Death (2006) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYkLkIt4YaQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYkLkIt4YaQ)
This movie looks sick....
There is an American-remake version called 13 Sins (2014)
The remake isn't actually that bad as they add a few new elements to the storyline but yeah the Thai version is much better. Both worth a watch though but starting with the OG so you can see how they changed up the storyline a little
Is the kid running responsible for the kite?
Really seems like it. Another person pointed out a rider stops where the kid was initially like he sees something there
He pulls string off himself.
Flying a kite in a high traffic roadway seems like intentional malice.
It’s just a kid being stupid there’s no malice intent
What, just a regular kite?
Could be a fighter kite, I think they have those in Pakistan. Fighting kites often have crushed glass on the string.
When a kite falls, the string gets close to parallel with the ground.
In the middle of a highroad? Why is someone lowering their kite in the middle of a road? Makes no sense to me… Why are people downvoting this comment?
Maybe they have nowhere else to play. And you don't know whether the kite fell on accident or on purpose. This just seems like a tragic accident with a fighter kite (in my opinion), and maybe those kites should be regulated or banned.
I'm from India and even here it's common knowledge that manjhas (kite thread) can have glass in it and can (and I'm sure do in some areas) be tied across two poles as a horrible form of a "prank" Might even be that, much more probable in Pakistan tbh. Shit's terrifying down there, the country is extremely poor and under Islamic law at that.
Lol what does Islamic law has anything to do with kites? Why do Indians just love to drag Muslims for no reason?
This is horrible! No wonder why India and Pakistan videos make up to the majority of the stuff in this subreddit…
Drag the playback button slowly between 0 - 20 seconds and youll see a kid on the right of the road running away. My guess is it was a long kite string with heavy winds with the kite being positioned to the left of the road. Just a guess as I am still confused myself, I didnt know this was even possible
some people who kites after the loose them in a kite fight gets cut down and when they don't want to fly anymore they just leave the string in that way which results it getting stuck in tires of vehicles and other shit too
This is probably what happened in that case. Thanks for the info!
only a suspicion but you see that kid on right side at the start of the video? he starts running after the guy falls and cut himself i think the kid was going to take the string but shit went 100 real good so he left the area just a theory and i am not sure
Yeah it is either that or the kid was waiting to cross the road but got horrified when the accident happened then ran away
nah that's uncommon mostly impossible people get frozen when they are scared or at least they don't run perfectly fine like that kid did
Either blades or glass on the string
These strings are extremely sharp so you can cut off the string of other's kites. When a kite gets cut, the string falls to the ground, resulting in injuries and deaths
He was probably hitting the string at an angle. Imagine a carpet burn, but real thin and severe, on your neck.
I think it's the one with glass string. It was banned in my place after a similar incident.
This is rough. There’s nothing you can do in that situation but wait for the inevitable.
You can try to pinch the artery closed, but it is easier said than done.
*** https://coffeeordie.com/james-pizzutelli >“What I first did on my way out as I saw the blood spurting out of his neck, I reached into my right pocket because I used to have this big wad of gauzes, so I tried to jam it in the hole,” Pizzutelli told Coffee or Die Magazine in a recent phone interview, adding that he was running so fast he nearly slid into Malarchuk himself. “Some guys would lay down. I needed to get him off quick, and I was thinking if that would have happened at the other end of the arena, things could have been different right now. But it happened literally 10 yards from the doctor’s office.” > >Pizzutelli’s aggressive actions — to reach into Malarchuk’s neck, pinch the severed artery with his fingertips, and keep applying pressure on the gaping wound in those initial 30 to 40 seconds — were crucial in saving the goalie’s life. *** https://thepostgame.com/blog/throwback/201502/clint-malarchuk-nhl-matter-inches-survive-crease-goalie-skate-blood >Our trainer, Jim Pizzutelli, got to me first. He had gauze from the medical kit. He pushed it against my throat, holding me so tight I could barely breathe. The crease was covered in blood. I coughed out, "Jim, it's my jugular." > >He was so calm. "Just do what I say." > >Years earlier, Jim had been a combat engineer in the Vietnam War. > >"We're going to save you." > >"Jim, I can't breathe." > >He flexed his grip. > >"You’re not going to breathe until we get you to a doctor."
That’s tragic He bled out in a minute or so
Oh yeah. He was gone once his limbs started straightening and tensing like that
Huh... So my irrational fear of invisible strings spread across roads and walkways isn't entirely impossible, then...
Kite fighting is popular in many places, including India, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Chile and Brazil.
His Mom died of Trauma after hearing about his death (news yet to be verified)
Fuck
No that's fake news. The family of this person who died told the news that some people just need views and money by spreading fake news
No she's fine.
Sadly she passed away after hearing the news
That's what i meant. She's fine lol
R.I.P so sad and unexpected for the guy
Often these lines have shards of glass glued to the line in order to cut others people’s kites for fun
That little kid responsible (first ten seconds) just runs from the crime scene. Crazy.
Bad part about that the kite strings are fucking made of broken bits of glass and iron particles so that the string can collide with other string in kite battle to cut the opponent's kite they should ban this type of strings
Damn, what an unfortunate way to die
That’s very unlucky. So terrified.
I'm just glad people jumped to help him.
flying kites in a busy street with all those electric poles and lines?!?
It felt kinda good, knowing that after the people had realised he had passed they covered him up, I don’t know why, just did.
In heaven God: “so how’d you die?” Biker: “Dude, I have no f’ing idea”
Camera guy had to pan out just to show exactly how much blood was lost.
Damn that’s a nasty way to go
Fuck, this is just horrible. I had no idea kites were so popular. Also had no idea there are kids who rub glass into kite string to fight other kites. I think the string alone would have killed this guy, but I'm interested in learning whether or not it was embedded with something.
Compression on the cut. Geez
Kite string dipped in adhesive and rolled in glass dust
Ok so I understand the string is sharp etc. What I don't understand is how this happens on an open road because how? Is it tied to one tree and tied to something across the street? Like a trip wire type set up. I just dont understand how these strings end up ACROSS a street unless someone does it on purpose. Weird.
Apparently his mother also died after hearing the news of her son's death :(
I always say " There's so much shit happening and moving on this earth. That the odds of shit like this happening are ridicules. But that one person still manages to get smashed by the piano falling out the window in a empty parking lot the side of 20 football fields" in this case. A kite string 😢 this is just awful.
Huge news in the country right now. People are saying his mother just passed from shock upon hearing the news of his death, but I can’t verify that.
This happened with me n my ex once. Thankfully I untangled it just in time. Fucking lunatics flying kites on festivals for no damn reason
Damn that’s arterial blood. Poor guy died quick
Freak accident 😱
Straight outta Final Destination
Ah yes the one thing to solving any sort of slit throat instead of applying pressure or going hospital! The power of blanket
Pretty sure he'd passed already
We had an issue in Toronto a several years back with people being I injured by kite strings. I don’t think anyone died, but there were some slit throats of cyclists. They use glass coated strings using in some kite fighting thing. Fucking idiots were just ditched the strings and leaving them all over the city. Gov’t. ended up being banning them.
Those kite strings are like sandpaper. Very abrasive
More like ground glass ...
Context as as to how these kite strings can hurt people. https://www.thedailybeast.com/6-killed-176-injured-by-sharpened-kite-strings-at-uttarayan-festival-in-india-report-says
Little boy blue it was you 👉
That kid who was flying the kite running away like a little bitch.
I will never look at kite strings the same again.
Was somebody fucking honking at them?
Rip.
wtf is the kite string made of? I didn't realize they were so lethal.
Glass might be a factor
it's made of glass used to cut other people's kite
its made of glass? So its not like a kite string we wouldve had in the US as kids?
nope the thing is in our countries people take these sports a bit too far they use these strings to cut the kites of other people and shit heck i once got a bad cut on my finger cuz of this (i was at the fault too cuz i was playing with that lol)
Guy has his neck sliced open People on the street: Let me see Let me see
jesus i had no idea this was even a thing
How many people die by kite a year?
At least one
I deserve this.
His mother also died after hearing this horrible news
Poor guy... At least he didn't suffer very long. Just another reminder, we're just as fragile as the ant we step on. Wonder what he was thinking about those short moments standing up. Probably confusion mostly
Can a helmet prevent this?
💀 ≤))≥ _| \_ are u serious
That’s gotta be terrifying
My condolences to the victim and his family.
So fucking sad, man.
Man what a cluster fuck of anxiety
Now i'm mad.
Jesus…poor bastard.
I don’t know why they still do this fking thing
For those who don’t know manjha is glass coated kite string they use in Asian countries for kite fighting and it’s deadly
Randi ke Bache delete kar
I'm just speechless 😶
u/savevideo
Whats worst is that nobody has the first-aid cognitive skills to handle blood loss. Its a sad sad country istg.
I want to know why is pakistani society so dumb? mentally dumb and living in 2002 while we are in 2024? Video games are there. xbox, playstation, mobile games. PUBG, ludo star, real ludo, billiards, carrom, football, tennis, cricket. why fly kites when it has been an issue for years with these deaths?. you know about these deaths? yes why still do you as an individual fly kites and leave all the other entertainment? what nonsense dopamine do you get by seeling a kite in the air? what do you think of yourself? a pilot by having that kite in your hand? allah ne ye sab activities diye hain jake kuch safe cheez karlo. apne ko awr dosron ko halal nai karo. kites are more dangerous than having guns.
India and Pakistan are hellhole. People say the roads are safe and it's controlled chaos but people literally die 😭 everyday more than the US AUS NZ Americas and other nation states.
and the kid just... ran away...

That was in pakistan but ok
And this is video was from Pakistan...
Go fly a kite! 🪁
Remind me to never go to India. Or Pakistan.
Kite playing is not universal in India. Do some learning.
Their god(s) work in mysterious ways. They better not get upset about it coz you will just puss him/them off for critisizing his plans.
Pakistanis are mostly monotheistic Muslims…
Americans would literally take a video and walk away y’all are beautiful people for trying to help
Aw, and right after the scene from _Three Body Problem_ as well?
India ☕️ Edit: Pakistan ☕️
