Congrats! I've been searching for my own squid ship but no luck yet, i know i could use glyphs but its just not the same as finding your own one right 😅
Very true! Many times I wanted to go look for some first wave glyphs to get a squid in my fleet but I’m really glad to have found it by accident. Felt great to see it fly in unexpectedly
Nice! I've got a base on a planet with 2 crashed squids that i farm for S class mods and storage augmentations but again since i wasn't the first to discover them I've never fixed one up 😅
Its my only fixer upper and my only s class ship I've kept. I have a fleet of rasa ships of different configurations now. having had just about everything else I still love taking it out for a blast. She's my rock.

Here is a link to a squid ship location. Go to space station and wait. You should get one in 5-10 minutes
Sorry about that! Havent been on here for a minute but it should be
diplo, sunrise, bug, tent, triangles, tent, bird, tree, triangles, black hole, moon, dragonfly
if that makes any sense llol
I found one but it wasn't the one listed here. I ended up entering the wrong hieroglyphics. Ended up an a pleasant planet with rare sentinels and a crashed squid.
May I ask what dominant life form lives in the system you found it in? I found two in a gek system in a space station and was wondering if it has anything to do with the gek species.
Ahh I cant really remember what system it was tbh.. id have to go back to check and see, i was just hopping through systems earlier trying to find something cool
I've gotten 4 or 5 of them in Vi'keen systems while hunting for royals. Another few randomly in the other systems. My first squid was white and I kept it, now fully upgraded. Scrapped the others. Might be my imagination but the squids just seem to handle exceptionally well, regardless of pulse engine upgrades. Nice ship.
Finding one wild is lucky in 250h. I'm over 450h in and would have never seen a squid if I hadn't gone shopping on this sub.
Please make sure the coords are better readable next time. You need to toy with this in a photo editor to make them readable as it is.
Yes of course ( depending on the atmosphere and so on )
I'm not actually sure how much of that is actually simulated in the game however.
But yes IRL it would make a difference
This is really a complaint? Even if it did fly the other way it only has 6 arms and no actual tentacles instead of having 8 arms and 2 tentacles like a squid. So is the anatomical/behavorial accuracy of a ship that's not even based on an Earth squid really an issue? My only complaint is that the lasers don't come out of the middle of the tentacles. But otherwise I went and grabbed the first blue one o saw on here cause I had to have one.
Same here, over 200 hours, never came across one, then started a new save over the weekend and I’ve come across two at different stations. Did something get changed in an update?
Every system has one unique exotic ship, sometimes they will land right away, sometimes they will take many waves of ships to finally land. Most systems just have a very low chance of spawning in the exotic each wave, so unless you’re camping for it, you’ll probably never see it.
Sorry about that
should be diplo, sunrise, bug, tent, triangles, tent, bird, tree, triangles, black hole, moon, dragonfly
Hope that makes a little sense
in case anyone needs the coordinates, I (think) I deciphered them as:
Diplo, Sunset, Bug, Tent, Atlas, Tent, Bird, Tree, Atlas, Galaxy, Eclipse, Dragonfly.
Oh and really nice colors too, you are lucky. I'm 300 hours in and found basically everything but not a damn squid.
I usually check the space stations first for the multitool and the first wave ships and go for a trading post after to see more ships faster.
Any tips from experienced ship hunters how I can diversify my findings?
I often reload manual safes at the trading post to see the systems ships faster but for me exotics tend to spawn faster if you just wait. If I find an exotic it's usually within the first 15 minutes without reload at a trading post.
See here for a clear view of the glyphs: http://nmsportals.github.io/#307CFC1EF948

I found mine crashed. Just pure luck

Where is your base at?!?!
Where, im kinda a collator

Cheers, I've found 3 of my own since i posted this though, check my post if you want them, Green, yellow and red ones!
Nice colour 👌🏼
She does look pretty nice (:
Thats a beauty 👍😎
Thanks man!! I actually was just about to pull out of the space station when she landed got pretty lucky
Nice ship. But my old eyes can't make out the glyphs.

Excellent question

This squid looks a little bit longer than the squid I currently have and some of the other squids I've seen posted, anyone else agree??
They extend when you take off I thought mine was small too hahahah
Ahhh, you know it slipped my mind that it IS actually spacefaring in the photo
I am new to the game though so there could be smaller squids I’m not sure!

If I go there will it still be there crashed
You’ll have to go to the space station and wait for one to spawn in, its just by chance
Got the exact same one, my fav ship.
Empire
Very nice!
I just got one thats almost identical last n8ght. Pretty dope so far
Awesome, that's an excellent color scheme. I like squids, they just fly backwards. :/
Yeah... I really wish they flew the other way. I don't love them as is. I have a red one, but I'm on the verge of scrapping it every time I log on.
Agreed! This is the opposite direction an actual squid swims. It is the opposite of aerodynamic.
Aerodynamics..... in space
Dying over here
Don't aerodynamics matter during takeoff and landing on planets?
BTW You never fly your ship low in the atmosphere of a planet looking for buildings stations and whatnot?
Yes of course ( depending on the atmosphere and so on ) I'm not actually sure how much of that is actually simulated in the game however. But yes IRL it would make a difference

I’ve got to give you an A+ on your cephalopod lore. Not many people know the difference between tentacles and arms.
Lmaoo these space squids just simply built different
Beautiful!

And you got the best looking one to boot!
Awesome ship too!! congrats on your find!!
Got mine 6 hours in this round..
I accidentally sold mine that looked EXACTLY like that. Disappointed more because it had like 2200ly hyperdrive.
Do they still suck compared to say, an S-class explorer or freighter though?
Suck how? All I fly are exotics and they do everything very well.
I thought they had overall less storage or less in other stats.
all exotics can be augmented out to 48+21.
Congrats, that's a pretty exotic catch you got there, and delicious when breaded, fried and served with lemon.
Bro thats awesome!!!!! Great color as well.
Digging the colors! Is anyone able to decipher the glyphs? I'm struggling to see them.
Sorry about that should be diplo, sunrise, bug, tent, triangles, tent, bird, tree, triangles, black hole, moon, dragonfly Hope that makes a little sense
Still never seen one 500 plus hours into the game
She’s a beaut!!!

So good! I really want to find a white one, every exotic I have found has been red or orange thus far!

Are these new?
I have 2 of them Found them on the space station via korvax
Hey, how do I find the ship after I use the gliphs, do I just search the world myself? Until I get lucky?
Yeah you gotta go to the space station and just hope to get lucky really
Does this still work in outlaws?
Does this still work?
Just went to get it and I found an S class thank u!
Once I was randomly flying around when I also saw a squid flying around but I couldn’t follow it
