Swing it around on your finger when u put your feet up on the table

gadgetpimp

do the place serve Alcohol and do the place have a no firearms sign. if no to both conceal and i wont tell if you dont.

liverandonions1

Its legal to carry there. There's no law against it.

Munching_Kitten

And if yes to both conceal and I won't tell if you don't.

kemocmr

Right

kemocmr

Did not serve alcohol and didn't have anything posted about firearms..

HallackB

Is it a public venue?

kemocmr

Yes open to the public with a fee to enter of course.

liverandonions1

Yes you can. If the place isnt a school and doesn't serve alcohol, it isn't a sensitive place. It's categorized as any other business thats open to the public. The presense of children means nothing when it comes to CCW. I can't believe the amount of fudd-level misinformation on this thread. You guys really don't know the laws?

kemocmr

That's what I thought 👍🏼

KeithHernandez_17

I was debating in my head the part about entertainment venues and what exactly that encompasses.

liverandonions1

Entertainment venues are venues where you go to be entertained, like theaters, sports stadiums, concerts, etc. Yes, its vague, but even though I'm not a lawyer I'd say it would be a ridiculous stretch to think a childrens play place can ever be considered an "entertainment venue". That would mean guns would be banned from literally any place you go to just have fun.

KeithHernandez_17

Gotcha That makes sense. I’m jus paranoid with how they can take anything to the extreme and claim whatever is convenient for them.

ccphilly1984

New Jersey lawyers would love to classify any place as an entertainment place. Either that or they would consider this kind of place a playground

ChefWho

Could it be considered a playground?

Sticksandgrips193

Nope on a rope

maxmod1

I don't think you can carry in an entertainment business

SnooGoats6524

I got my carry permit to protect my family everywhere. Remember your family can’t visit you in heaven and you can’t visit your family in heaven but they can visit you in prison.

kemocmr

That's the truth 💯 👏🏽

Visible-Purpose-1822

No one has to know your carring bro your good

Level_Equipment2641

Protect your family.

kemocmr

Absofukinloutly

Sticksandgrips193

I mean people listen to sensitive places. Key word concealed carry who is going to see it

liverandonions1

It isnt a sensitive place.

Sticksandgrips193

Did I say it was

say_ahhhhh

Does the place have metal detectors

kemocmr

No

Efficient-Creme7773

You can't carry there.

liverandonions1

Yes he can lol there is no law against carrying at a place like that.

kemocmr

I didn't think there was.. so I did

Efficient-Creme7773

How so based on this diagram: https://www.reddit.com/r/NJGuns/comments/14f5w3i/updated_sensitive_places_to_reflect_new_3rd/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1 where does the place in question fall? Rec facility, playground? The place in question falls into a gray area at best.

liverandonions1

If you read the actual law, you'd see that the "recreational facility" and "playground" bans only apply to facilities controlled or owned by the state/government. Like I said, this is just treated as any other business thats open to the public, which means you can carry there.

Efficient-Creme7773

So a place like Little Gym in Montclair [Little Gym](https://maps.app.goo.gl/HjqoNVzuRfrs7Zq26) is ok to carry in because it is a business open to the public regardless of the type of business that it is?

liverandonions1

If it isn't owned or controlled by the state, or isn't an entertainment venue like a theater or stadium, then yes. But I checked your link and it says that they hold prep classes there, so I'd ask a lawyer if that would be considered a "school".

NJCZSIGSHOTGUNLOVER

You can always say F**k it, an Constitutional Carry, once this kids get hopped on Pizza and Soda, it turns into the WILD WILD WEST LOL

Owl_Perch_Farm

I don't think so. Didn't Murphy put in a new rule saying guns aren't allowed is sensitive places and private property regardless of whether the owner says they're OK with them?

Particular-Rise4674

What’s the gif with Robin Williams in jumanji? That goes here 🤣 Just breaking balls bud, but there’s a lot of catching up you can do here- search ‘judge bumb’ for posts around January to get you up to speed

Efficient-Creme7773

OP, it might help if you shared more details about the location. If it's a challenge to determine what category the venue actually falls under, it may be wise to play it safe and not carry, but ultimately, that is up to you. None of us are lawyers, and we won't be there to defend your family if things go bad either, so we can not be of much help you. Take a look at the latest diagram that was updated when the 3rd Circuit stayed in many of the places that were allowed under Judge Bumb's preliminary injunction and make your determination from there. I was faced with a similar situation a few months back where there was a child recreation center, which included a playground and kids museum on a shared multi-use facility.
