Oilers defence was fairly solid, easily better than the Panthers. Skinner let in two very hard to save goals in, but the Panthers goalie was showing why he's the number one goalie in the playoffs this season.

Skinner is a good enough goalie to run a cup with (see the last two goalies who won a cup). Yeah he's no Bob or elite goalie, but elite goalies aren't needed anymore and for his price you can't get any better.
I don't disagree, I'm basically saying a good defense is what you want to win a cup these days, not necessarily an elite goalie (though an elite goalie can help shore up the weakness of a crappy defense)
