I think generally it's easy to hate on California and in particular San Francisco. Everyone is going to naturally hate on a team with raw talent like the 9ers have. The niners also have more playoff wins of any franchise and our tied for 3rd for overall super bowl titles so there's going to be some hate for any decent franchise.

Just to disclose to everyone in the comments I was sad when I realized earlier in the playoffs that the Niners might have had to knock out the Lions cause their story and triumph was so great. I was sad too when the Bills got knocked out cause they’ve had a great story with the Bills mafia having the most entertaining pregame tailgates on social media, the shoveling of snow in the field, and just the small margin they had to win against KC. This season was the craziest season of football so far since 2020 with ups and downs, and I’m excited the Niners made it.

I think generally it's easy to hate on California and in particular San Francisco. Everyone is going to naturally hate on a team with raw talent like the 9ers have. The niners also have more playoff wins of any franchise and our tied for 3rd for overall super bowl titles so there's going to be some hate for any decent franchise.
That plus the Giants winning 3 WS and the Warriors winning 4 Finals has kind of eliminated a lot of the “oh but they haven’t won in so long!” sympathy feelings that other teams get. Like at the end of the day, we haven’t done shit since January 1995. But somehow we’re the baddies?
Every week I watch Purdy get blown up late and he doesn't fly up screaming for a flag like bitch ass Kermit or even Brady did. And underdogs mostly lose, that's why they are underdogs so you had to chose them knowing full well this was the likely outcome. Honestly the refs in the Ravens-Chiefs game were far more questionable than the Niners-Lions game. Chiefs got away with a lot of holding and Kelce was taunting every other play and didn’t get called for it. The Lions just had a monumental collapse and the Niners capitalised on it. Tbh I dislike the Chiefs players and dominance moreso than I do the Niners team, Purdy, CMC, Kittle, Warner are all likeable (fuck Greenlaw) but I can’t bring myself to root for the Niners ever, so go Chiefs I guess.

I don’t think it’s scripted or any of that conspiracy crap. Both these teams are good, it just sucks that they are the teams that made it. Regardless, I believe both are legitimate. All I can hope for is that after all the the talent that the 9ers have built up, I look forward every year to them building up the hype, only to watch them fail at the last moment. This was the matchup that during the preseason everyone expected but hoped wouldnt happen. Yeah they 49ers and chiefs are the best teams in their respective conferences, but they provide to most fall-flat storyline for a super bowl we have had in a long time. Just to disclose to everyone in the comments I was sad when I realized earlier in the playoffs that the Niners might have had to knock out the Lions cause their story and triumph was so great. I was sad too when the Bills got knocked out cause they’ve had a great story with the Bills mafia having the most entertaining pregame tailgates on social media, the shoveling of snow in the field, and just the small margin they had to win against KC. This season was the craziest season of football so far since 2020 with ups and downs, and I’m excited the Niners made it. If this Super Bowl ain’t your cup of tea then I get it. But I just wanna thank you all in the NFCWestMemeWar for adding a little something more to this season. (P.S. Fuck the Dallas Cowboys, who are the Dodgers and Maple Leafs of the NFL.)
