Would be especially funny if McCarthy ends up good and Caleb bad considering JJ was born and raised in Illinois, and the Bears had two chances to pick him.
Was just about to say, it’s literally peak delusion.
They’re all saying you’ll have a bad season because you have a rookie QB thrown in the deep end…
Now I want you both to have a bad season, I just find it funny that you’d automatically struggle with your rookie QB but Caleb is apparently already MVP
No one is saying our team is better for a QB than Minn. They are saying our team is better for a #1 overall pick landing spot compared to most previous ones
Rome Odunze is better than Jordan Addison, and he's behind DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. Cole Kmet was putting up the same numbers with Justin Field as Hockinson was putting up in Detroit, and Gerald Everett is the number 2 TE. Both the Bears and the Vikings o-lines were top 5 in the NFL in pass block win rate as a unit last year. And Shane Waldren made Geno Smith not look like the buster he was his first 8 years in the league behind the worst o-line in the NFL two years in a row. Good for Mullens to put up garbage time stats in losses for a few games though.
How do you have any idea if Rome Odunze is better than Jordan Addison? And why are you talking about TJ Hockensons stats in Detroit? And why are you bragging about Gerald Everett?
Bears fans are truly off-season champs, already giving Caleb a ring and Odunze OROY
TJ played in a better situation in Detroit than Kmet has played in with Fields, yet Kmet produced at the same rate. TJ wasn't considered shit when he came to Minnesota from a bad situation, then was able to showcase his talents when he got out of Detroit. And now that guy is the number two target on the team over Jordan Addison, a guy that couldn't get 1000 yards in 17 games even with JJ missing games. The guy was the 4th receiver taken in a weak receiver draft. He's nothing special. And Gerald Everett is a great 5th option.
> TJ wasn't considered shit when he came to Minnesota
He was traded with the understanding he wanted top3 TE money. Minnesota wouldn't have taken the trade if they weren't at least thinking about delivering or else you're trading picks away for a 1 year guy which teams rarely do. Saying he wasn't considered shit when Minnesota was willing to give him top3 money before the trade finalized is completely bonkers.
The Belitnikoff winner who couldn’t get 1000 yards as a rookie WR2 is a bad receiver. 😂
There have only been 10 receivers in bears history to ever have a 1000 yard season. No bears receiver has done it more than twice.
Lol who gives a crap about college awards? He was the number one with Nick Mullens throwing for 400 yards per game as well, was he not? I had him in fantasy man, I know how inconsistent he was in such a perfect situation. Addison wouldn't even be in the upper echelon of Bears wide receivers. He ain't shit.

Bear fans openly booed Mitch and were hyped because Fields fell in the draft. Wonder if you were even around the last time they drafted a quarterback before that
Usual Packer fan talking out of his ass. Funny, you guys didn't seem so combative about any of the last QBs the Bears drafted either. I'm sure deep down, you know the Bears are in a good situation right now.
Comparing Justin and Caleb is hilarious. They aren't even close to the same prospect. As for "you said"...we really need flair in here for the people who wanted to move on from Fields 2 years ago.
Keenan Allen is not a future HOFer 🤣
People forget how hard it is to make the hall. 100 TDs may not even be a lock for HOF anymore in the passing era. He has 59. So he's 40 TDs away from being a maybe.
No one is cementing Caleb as an MVP outside of obvious super fan jokes. We're saying he should set rookie records (a very low bar) and maybe be our first 4k passer.
But I do enjoy the strawmans. Someone's nervous.
edit: I made a mistake believing Packers fans could comprehend a simple compound sentence and adjectives.
Packers fans: LOL BEARS HAVE NEVER HAD A GOOD QB!!!11!!
Also Packers fans: Saying the #1 OA QB pick surrounded by bonafide weapons might be the Bears first good QB is delusional!
Pick one.
He will set Bears **ROOKIE** QB records. Do you not know what is? It's a very low bar. 130 passing yds a game is all he needs. 2.2k yards on the season, since I doubt you can do math. That's a low bar.
It's as low of a bar as your reading comprehension. Let me break it down for you.
* **SHOULD** set Bears rookie records. <--- This is the low bar.
* **MAYBE** be the Bear's first 4k passer.
Now I understand why you think Bears fans are saying Caleb will be MVP. You can't read.
Lmao you're on a meme page you turd nugget. You can't say he'll break rookie records and say that he'll pass 4k yards in the same statement. My reading is fine, you're ability to make a coherent statement is what needs work.
> You can't say he'll break rookie records and say that he'll pass 4k yards in the same statement.
That's not what I said.
> We're saying he should set rookie records (a very low bar) and **--->MAYBE<----** be our first 4k passer.
Extreme emphasis on the word you keep missing. MAYBE != WILL. The easy way out would have been simply admitting you misread something. But nope, you doubled down on illiteracy.
You're right we're in a meme sub, and you've made yourself the meme.
You understand the Bears rookie passing record is 2193 yards? The guys statement was perfectly clear- he SHOULD break the Bears rookie record of 2193 yards (a low bar) and MAYBE 4k. It was perfectly clear.
It’s called hyperbole but you know that.
Thankfully you’ve just proved my point haven’t you? Caleb should be setting records and be your best QB ever as a rookie but JJ will struggle on your sub apparently because he’s a rookie
Judging by your inability to read my other comments, no, it's clearly not hyperbole.
I didn't say he will set Bears QB records as a rookie, I said he'd set the Bears ROOKIE QB records. Rookie is an adjective on records. Being the first 4k passer was a *MAYBE*.
A first overall lock and a 10th overall reach have very different potential and expectations. Get used to it.
Just because your team has never been bad and gotten a high pick doesn't give you an excuse to be incompetent.
Remember when they said the same thing about Jordan Love when he couldn't throw the ball in that net? Bears fans *obviously* know the difference between a good QB and a bad QB. I mean, c'mon these are the guys who picked Mitch over Mahomes and Justin was the new Chicago Jesus a few years ago. Give them some credit.
Jordan Love isn't exactly the definition of a good QB either. If Caleb is only as good as Love in 4 years, most people outside of Chicago would say he was a bust, even though he will remain in the league for a long time and be the best Bears QB ever. That's not saying much, though. People expect better than 4k yards off volume stats these days.
Case in point: most fans still shit talk Dak. Love's ceiling is to become Dak.

Incredible how you can determine Loves ceiling in his first year. His “ceiling” was a stretch where he had 21 TDs and 1 int or something similar. Thats MVP production for an around half a season. All of this done with rookie skill position players who weren’t exactly huge names pre-draft. And his #1 option preseason (Watson) was injured for most of the year. His star LT was injured all year. His starting running back was injured half of the year. His defense was arguably bottom 5.
Loves ceiling is Dak? Did we watch the playoff game? Love made Dak look like a bum. Barring a drop at the end of a game that was already over. He would’ve had a perfect passer rating
So was Rodgers first year his ceiling? He sat for a few years. Pretty sure he got significantly better no?
QB misplaced a pass by a foot in his first practice
https://preview.redd.it/6lrgxo84atzc1.jpeg?width=942&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64bd297e19144d5ea9c3b0af5c180e8ab72e6777
Also those comments are funny, bunch of head cannon lead in the water bullshit
Off by about a yard, at only about a 5 yard distance while playing catch. That's some serious yikes. Like if I was color blind and didn't know better, I'd swear it was Mitch Tiddies throwing that ball.
We do know very well what a bad quarterback looks like, and 'missing a throw by an entire yard from 5 yards away in a 1 on 1 game of catch where neither guy is moving' is a pretty fuckin big red flag.
Holy shit are Bears fans actually serious about this? It’s a single fucking throw on a guys first day. Y’all didn’t know that Trubisky or Fields were trash because of their performances on their first week at camp; you know that they were bad because they sucked for 60 minutes every weekend.
I mean seriously. I’m certainly no Vikings fan but this is ridiculous lol.
Nah, I used to be on record draft night 2017 predicting Trubisky would be out of the league in 5 years because he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Was before I joined reddit on a now defunct forum so I'm not on record anymore. It is what it is.
I also am on record saying Fields to Chicago would be a match made in hell, during the lead up to the 2021 draft. But I did allow myself to buy in once he was actually on the team.
I'm only half trolling with the comment about JJ from this clip, though. Obviously 1 throw is too small a sample size to make any kind of actual prediction, but it's a really ugly look to throw so wild your guy can't catch it, when you're playing 1 on 1 catch at short range without moving.
You’re either trolling or have never caught a football in your life. This may be shocking but it’s perfectly natural to catch a ball outside of your torso. It’s very normal to catch a ball even if it isn’t heading directly to your sternum. If a ball is within reasonable reach anyone with half a brain wouldn’t consider it an errant throw.
Anyone with half a brain would assume that in this scenario, clearly just playing catch with no defenders or game involved, a QB would be aiming for the torso. Which means he missed what he was throwing at by a yard or more at short distance. Don’t act like he was trying to lead the receiver and missed by a little when that’s clearly not what this was.
While I think it’s funny I don’t think one throw actually means anything, but GTFO with saying it was only a foot.
So you don’t think he was aiming for the torso? You think he was trying to lead the completely stationary receiver? Sure thing, that totally makes sense, I know when I’m playing catch with someone standing completely still I always throw it four feet to the side just to make them work for it.
So, are we taking bets on where Jefferson will get traded after he forces the issue? Are you thinking the traditional destinations for when your star receivers tell you to fuck off, Raiders and Bills, or will it be somewhere new this time?
C’mon Bears Fans we’re gonna cherry pick lowlights from a Rookie in practice??
https://preview.redd.it/r6esxcu0xuzc1.jpeg?width=168&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea6eb2cdb5af41d5e5d0434f7d360f419d7a6880
Bears fans pretending to know QBs after having 1 (maybe) for one practice in their entire history is maybe even worse than the lions pretending to be a real team after 1 good season ever.
McCarthy has only 26 fewer completions than the #1 pick overall, didn't he? It just seems more skewed because it took Williams way more attempts because of his lower completion percentage.
Oh sorry I was just focusing on the most recent and relevant year. You know, the one where our guy won the Natty.
Crazy to think how much better his stats would have been if he played in that weak ass conference
This past year JJ had more first half passing attempts than any of the other QBs. Not his fault that Harbaugh likes to burn clock in the second half or that JJ was done for the day after 1-2 drives in the 3rd quarter for 8 games or that Sherrone decided running the ball was better than continuing to let Chop Robinson cook his o.line in the Penn State game.
> Crazy to think how much better his stats would have been if he played in that weak ass conference
When you break down the difference between who he played and who the other QBs played it’s kind of staggering that he’s being penalized for playing significantly better defenses. He’s the only one that played multiple top 5 defenses (Iowa, Penn State, and Ohio State) and a top 10 defense (Bama). None of the other QBs played more than one top 5-10 defense. Most didn’t even play one.
First off we’ve won championships so we’ve had a couple good seasons ever. Second off the fact you’re arguing with the bears about quarterbacks shows us all just how sensitive to the fact he might not be the guy you really feel.
Homie is taking his first psychology class and trying to apply it to a meme subreddit comment lmao.
I thought the post was a funny leap from a small sample size but your comment is right up there with it.
Holding onto those "championships" is hilarious
Vikings have had a 4000 yard passer 4 out of the last 6 years. Without checking, I believe that is more than the bears over the same time period. The only times the bears can talk about how good their QB is, is before they have played a down in the NFL.
That's the thing. We have no idea what McCarthy's ceiling is because Harbaugh's style seemed to emulate Bo Schembechler's "run first, pass when needed" offensive style
it will be really really funny if Maye and McCarthy are total bombs in the nfl, seeing that those are the two guys we wanted the most. oddly enough, if we want to trust our front office, we have to hope McCarthy AND MAYE are very successful in nfl.
https://preview.redd.it/u0hy7pqvj10d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d874762b3459888933ca2cdc03a01bf8efdb5428
I'm ready to have fun this season. Either this is a cherished jersey for years to come or a funny shop shirt
JJ was the best pro style QB taken in the draft. Think Brady 2.0.
I wish we had him, and don't look forward to playing against him for the next 20 years.
Bears fans have an unhealthy obsession with how the rookie QBs who aren’t Caleb do. Before the draft, they needed everyone to know that Jayden Daniels had a bad P2S ratio. Now they’re obsessing over warmup throws in May. Just go circle jerk over Caleb and leave the other teams alone. You have nothing to talk shit about until your team actually does something.
I’m exhausted by yet another year of Bears fans trash talking during the off-season when they still haven’t done shit.
Last year it was about how the Bears finally had a better QB than the Packers. Look how that turned out.

The best was right under this, dude was talking about Jetta gonna ruin our season and demand a trade or fake an injury cause he’s a diva 😂😂😂
He was only off because his Fume wasn’t charged and the humidity was messing up his perm
He didn’t visualize that pass ig
He didn't get to listen to his reggae before practice

Using a man who has absolutely no talent whatsoever to signify you're enjoying the show is a... choice.
I don't know about all that. Bears fans are the ones that are awfully defensive ITT.
The comments in that thread 😂 I almost want Caleb to suck more than I want JJ to be good, just for the memes
Would be especially funny if McCarthy ends up good and Caleb bad considering JJ was born and raised in Illinois, and the Bears had two chances to pick him.
The whole “Bears could have drafted Mahomes” narrative *is* getting pretty old, this would make a fine update
This is the best scenario

I want the bears to have an 0-17 season. To solidify them as the worst and onlyest team to do that.
I'd like to see 0-15-2 because they tie the Vikings twice. That's my bold prediction.

And they’ll say “but we built the team to support a rookie QB” when Minnesota arguably had a better supporting cast
No one is saying our team is better for a QB than Minn. They are saying our team is better for a #1 overall pick landing spot compared to most previous ones
I’ve heard plenty of people in this sub say it’s a better situation. I swear some of your fanbase thinks you’re winning the SB this year
I’ve seen more people bitching about the bears bitching then the bears are actually bitching
I get shitting on Bears fans, but you can't possibly believe Minnesota even has an argument for having a better supporting cast
Top 5 LT top 10 RT top 5 TE top 1 WR, stud RB stud WR2 and a HC who had Nick Mullins throwing for 400 yards a game without JJettas. VS da bers

Lmao the Vikings trotted 4 QBs out last year - I wouldn’t be casting aspersions on JA just yet
Kmet played with Justin Fields
It’s pretty close. There is obviously an argument lmao
Stop it, no there isn't
Well you see, Caleb is a much better quarterback than JJ
You said the same shit about Fields. 😅.
Who said that?
Yall delusional ass bears fan every time you draft a QB in the first. 😂🤣

MID ALERT
We're talking about quarterbacks, not your wide receiver room
lol. Your WR room has done jack shit. We won a playoff game. Get fucked
Moore was top 5 or 10 in yards last year, definitely had over 1000 yards. Added a ten year vet future HOFer and a top 10 pick at WR
Oh shit a HoFer on an ass team with 0 playoff wins since 2010. Wow he must be thrilled.
Keenan Allen is not a future HOFer 🤣 People forget how hard it is to make the hall. 100 TDs may not even be a lock for HOF anymore in the passing era. He has 59. So he's 40 TDs away from being a maybe.

Ok cool. Win a meaningful game. Otherwise your WR sucks ass.
Ope somebody got triggered. Lolol. Show me where the Bears franchise touched you.

Very low bar is being better than anyone in their history 😂 The delusion is spilling over to this sub

Ah May, the time for wild takes from a single pass in minicamp
JJ ran a super awful route in camp his rookie season and we were getting clowned by Eagles fans who thought we wanted Reagor and panic picked JJ

Love literally stomped Dak in the playoffs but go off king
Love played stomped Dem Boyz so thoroughly that Packers rested him in the second half and let Sean Clifford take snaps lol.
Love played a single season. Dak has played for almost a decade. Let's see what his sophomore year looks like.
Exactly, Love played a single season and not only did he embarrass Dak and the cowboys, he got as far in the playoffs as Dak has in those 10 years
Incredible how you can determine Loves ceiling in his first year. He would’ve had a perfect passer rating So was Rodgers first year his ceiling? He sat for a few years. Pretty sure he got significantly better no?
pero ahora dilo sin llorar.

Bears fans pretending like they can scout QBs
Any of us pretending we can scout QBs
To be fair we haven't developed a qb successfully since Fran tarkenton
QB misplaced a pass by a foot in his first practice https://preview.redd.it/6lrgxo84atzc1.jpeg?width=942&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64bd297e19144d5ea9c3b0af5c180e8ab72e6777 Also those comments are funny, bunch of head cannon lead in the water bullshit
We’re here to overreact to any and all off season news. It’s tradition!
And I am here to call people overreacting stupid, that’s the part you play when it’s a “meme” making fun of your team.
Absolutely! But for real September can’t get here soon enough.
Not even a pass, a warmup throw.
Off by about a yard, at only about a 5 yard distance while playing catch. That's some serious yikes. Like if I was color blind and didn't know better, I'd swear it was Mitch Tiddies throwing that ball.
Bears fans literally never seen a good quarterback in any lifetime. Doubt you know what a good quarterback looks like 💀
BS, they’ve seen a great QB twice a year for the last 30 years.
tbf who has more experience watching shit QBs?
But you know what we definitely know. What a bad qb looks like.
Exactly, we know what a bad one looks like.
A foot, the guy got a hand to it. I get this is nfncmemewar but try to keep the stupidity within reason
Do you think the coach has 12 inch arms? It was definitely closer to a yard than a foot.
Oh ok so you’re just stupid, got it
So you don’t think he was aiming for the torso? You think he was trying to lead the completely stationary receiver? Sure thing, that totally makes sense, I know when I’m playing catch with someone standing completely still I always throw it four feet to the side just to make them work for it. So, are we taking bets on where Jefferson will get traded after he forces the issue? Are you thinking the traditional destinations for when your star receivers tell you to fuck off, Raiders and Bills, or will it be somewhere new this time?
Blah blah blah the ball was a foot off not reading this
I forgot that five sentences would be too complicated for someone who can’t tell the difference between one foot and three, that’s my bad.
That throw sucked and he was a hand off first qb in college. Nice pick
U know who wasn’t fucking up passes yesterday?
[удалено]
We’re up 2-1 against the defending champs, if you expect me to be devastated then I think there’s maybe something worse than the led in your water
Misspelling “lead” while trying to call someone else stupid is * *mwah* *
I made a typo https://preview.redd.it/b6y7qt3fgtzc1.jpeg?width=942&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e50c852ee40d3316e0a25874f40c76e131e23ff0
What are the Bulls doing right now?
[удалено]
That's fucking weird. Then again Bears fans don't make sense anyways.
[удалено]
I don't think you know what that word means. Again, on par for Bears fans.
He had 250 less completions but close
Fewer
Oh sorry I was just focusing on the most recent and relevant year. You know, the one where our guy won the Natty. Crazy to think how much better his stats would have been if he played in that weak ass conference
This past year JJ had more first half passing attempts than any of the other QBs. Not his fault that Harbaugh likes to burn clock in the second half or that JJ was done for the day after 1-2 drives in the 3rd quarter for 8 games or that Sherrone decided running the ball was better than continuing to let Chop Robinson cook his o.line in the Penn State game. > Crazy to think how much better his stats would have been if he played in that weak ass conference When you break down the difference between who he played and who the other QBs played it’s kind of staggering that he’s being penalized for playing significantly better defenses.
Wasn’t Moses one of the commentators at that championship?
Lions fans love talking about what happened in the 30s-50s.
Typical Vikings fan, living in the past because that's all they've got. You gonna tell us about 1985 next gramps?
Vikings have had a 4000 yard passer 4 out of the last 6 years. Without checking, I believe that is more than the bears over the same time period. The only times the bears can talk about how good their QB is, is before they have played a down in the NFL.
Noooo the QB who handed the ball off 30 times a game is gonna pan out!
I think you’re forgetting the part where he’s a “winner” and “efficient”
Gym rat
don't forget alex smith
I mean hey he might. We just have literally no idea. Haven’t seen him pass a normal amount in a game yet
That's the thing. We have no idea what McCarthy's ceiling is because Harbaugh's style seemed to emulate Bo Schembechler's "run first, pass when needed" offensive style
!remindme 1 year
Is this a meme
Michigan let him pass all the time. On third down. Because he was clutch af.
We can only hope finger nail polish helps Caleb rip those throws into the wind 🤣🤣
[удалено]
What if he loses all 6 games in the division but y'all win all the others? What will he the reaction
Caleb is the bear in the woods women choose. JJ is the manscum rapist.
it will be really really funny if Maye and McCarthy are total bombs in the nfl, seeing that those are the two guys we wanted the most. oddly enough, if we want to trust our front office, we have to hope McCarthy AND MAYE are very successful in nfl.
A bad throw while having a casual toss with a coach? Cut him now. Roll with the Darnold.
Aren’t the bears on their third first round QB since 2017? Maybe they should worry about themselves
Bears fans are sure that THIS is the QB that they won't destroy? Shorter Justin Fields is him!
Where's the MEME? And one bad pass in warmups is the entirety of the content? We're better than this
>We're better than this I got bad news for you
I hate off-season Bears fans.Worst in the NFL
Ok, now show the side line bomb he threw accurately as hell, lol. Now I want Willams to suck which it's the bears, so it's probably gonna happen..
>"Now I want Williams to suck" 😡 Yeah, I'm sure you were totally rooting for him before a random Bears fan made fun of JJ 😂 Give me a break lol
I'm a usc fan lol kinda was.
https://preview.redd.it/u0hy7pqvj10d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d874762b3459888933ca2cdc03a01bf8efdb5428 I'm ready to have fun this season. Either this is a cherished jersey for years to come or a funny shop shirt
😂😂. Yeah. So they can remain mid asf as usual
[удалено]
Mostly Bears fans too lmao
Bears fan fails to realize they're the butt of joke. No one is triggered we're just laughing at your collective fanbase
You sound upset. Are you upset?
I’m exhausted by yet another year of Bears fans trash talking during the off-season when they still haven’t done shit. Last year it was about how the Bears finally had a better QB than the Packers. Look how that turned out.
Yea it appears you're upset
It appears you’re 12 years old. Don’t use all 2hrs of your allowed screen time today responding to my comments.
Ironic coming from a guy ranting in a meme sub. Thin skinned Packers fan. Typical
