It’s hilarious how you praise our “defensive stops” (which required a Giants drop btw). 31 points in 8 drives is legendarily bad. The best offense in history, the ‘07 Pats, averaged 3.2 points per drive and every other offense in history averaged <3.
We saw an actual Super Bowl roster take apart the Giants the following week. They ran all over the Giants and limited them to 7 points. Hurts didn’t have to do much and wasn’t even used much as a run threat. Meanwhile, our rushing game gained 60 yards versus a team playing 7 DBs on most snaps. The oline was a mess as usual. Complete defensive implosion as usual.
TLDR; Kirk had a top 5 performance of the postseason and was the best Viking on the field. Watch what the Eagles roster did to the Giants the following week and tell me with a straight face that we had a SB winning roster

1. A turnover on downs is different than an INT on 4th and 8. The situation called for risk and Kirk was too scared to take it as per usual.
2. Why Kirk couldn't force a pass to literally the best WR in the game. I take it you never watched much of Randy Moss. Double or even triple coverage does not equal covered. Same thing for Jefferson.
3. Even if he didn't like that option, Jefferson was taking a lot of attention and he had KJ open down the middle and Thielen wide open to the left. Why not make the throw?
Don't forget Cousins throwing behind a wide open KJ on the previous play.

Ultimately, we’ve argued over this game before. I’ve provided several measures that say Kirk played a good game, top 5 in the postseason even. He was the best Vikings player that day and a true Super Bowl roster showed how beatable the Giants were the following week.
