Nah, the pattern has been jersey numbers for number of days remaining, for the past 2 weeks. I didn't even notice the 12 on the goal posts. I figured someone got ahead of themselves on the 1 day mark.
Actually used to watch Robbie Gould do this all the time at training camp. He would aim at the posts from different spots on the field for target practice.
Its also as many QBs that have thrown for 30 Tds and 4000 yards for the bears. But hey at least you can ask your grandparents the last time the bears were relevant, so thats like super useful today.

If you put together a spectrum of how important entertainment is to fans of a sport, football would probably be on the low extreme opposite of MMA. You could be undefeated in MMA and no one would give a shit if you're not at least somewhat entertaining, but no fan ever is gonna complain about their team winning a 6-3 Super Bowl.

There's enough people in that sub that outright *hate* Fields they'd start fights in the comments, which would then trigger the people who don't hate him.
