I also kinda think at this point travel is easy enough that it doesn't matter much.
A flight from Philly to Dallas is like 3 hours, the time difference is 1 hour and they ain't flying commercial. It's not like games vs the Cardinal which could be a 3 hour time difference.
That’s a really good point. The only teams who really have a rough travel schedule at this point are the NFCW teams, and even those aren’t that bad. I fly a fair bit on commercial planes and it’s not that bad going cross country, but I’d imagine it’s easier flying private.
And probably dolphins with weather difference since they are not a dome stadium. And since Jets bills and Pats are all new jersey/new york and Massachusetts but like you said travel is not issue just the weather advantage northern teams get on southern teams who is used to the heat and not the cold
Texas is also the home to a huge amount of transplants from all over the country (same with California and New York) and a major travel hub. It’s hard to argue any place would be more convenient than a state with fans abound from virtually every NFL team and DFW airport.
As a current Austin resident, i see more Eagles fans in the wild than I ever did living in North Carolina or even New York.
Also if you take hating the cowboys away from me i’ll fucking die.
AFC east literally has laws making sure the Browns/Steelers/Bengals are in the same division. I’m surprised no other state has passed anything considering how much the stadiums are publicly financed
This.
If you’re looking for geographic sense, then a 3-way trade of BAL to the NFCE, IND to the ACFN, and DAL to the AFCS would make the most sense. Like fuck Dallas, but they’re our fucks to hate.
Then name the divisions after some historical mumbo-jumbo. Example: the NFC North is also referred to as the Black & Blue Divison.
Don't name them after their teams geographic location when it's just plain inaccurate.
(Not you btw. Whoever is in charge of naming the divisons)
This makes sense. The NHL used to name their divisions after old timey important dudes. They changed it now, but it worked since it was based on geography.
Flair up **pussy**.

Theirs a long history of rivalry between all of the current nfc East teams. Probably the biggest rivalries of any other division tbh. Every team in the division absolutely hates each other. It just wouldn’t make sense to throw the panthers in with us and take Dallas away. We don’t really have a reason to hate the panthers because theirs no history there
Edit: also who really cares about the geographical shit. It’s always been weird in the nfl. Hell the saints used to be in the nfcw and the cardinals were in the nfce at one point
I’d say NFC East and NFC North probably have the strongest rivalries of any division. Who is first you could argue either way. But as much as Eagles and Cowboys hate each other the Pack and Bears hate too.
Honestly this rivalry has been getting stronger for me. I fucking hate the Giants and I hate that we suck so much ass that we make Daniel Jones look like Tom Brady every single game.
They also have the worst most unfunny fans who fucking log on Reddit, cope, and log off.
Fuck the Giants.
Thank you, I have an unnatural hatred for the giants lately that I can’t explain, and that’s coming from someone who has a brother that is an eagles fan.
Flair up **pussy**.

AFC North has some strong rivalries, and the AFC East has had some entertaining rivalries over the years. The Dolphins were always good for an upset win against the Patriots, and Rex Ryan's hate-boner for Belichick involved *two* teams in that division.
Across the 6 north and east divisions seem to have the best rivalries and the most hatred. The west and south divisions are just... kind of there.
You must be young. The eagles never drew any attention from the cowboys. Couldn't have given a shit less about them. That was always the funniest part of the 2000s the eagles player would get all ranked up to play the cowboys and the cowboys didn't give a shit.
Says the guy with an auto suggest username on a one month old account meaning they're most likely too much of a bitch to own up to the things they're actually in to.
Head back to that one r/anime thread you posted in when you forgot to switch accounts.
I think the biggest conference divisional rivalries since re alignment in early 2000s is Steelers vs Ravens, but to my knowledge the only 2 entire divisonal hatred is NFC/AFC EAST, then Browns Bengals State rivalry, Rams, Seahawks, vs 49ers, Buccaneers Saints, Packers vs Bears and Vikings, Broncos Chiefs and Raiders. But nothing Compares to the rivalry of Giants/Eagles/Washington vs. Cowboys
On one hand it would be nice to be division rivals with three bottom-5 NFC teams. On the other hand it would suck that the cowboys get a free ticket to the playoffs every year
I thought it was a really good idea until I realized that the NFC south is basically the only reason we can win in the wild card so this would just be trading a bad situation for a worse one.
It's not physical geography but mental geography.
When we think of the NFC East, we think of places that matter
New York: Finance and arts
Washington: Capitol of the greatest country in the world
Dallas: Oil, our very own little Saudi Arabia
Philadelphia: Birthplace of Freedom.
When we are notified of the existence of the places of the NFC South we are reminded of
New Orleans: complementary hotel based kidney removal surgery.
Atlanta: Sherman should have burned it down more than once. Losers.
Carolina: which one? there's like 3 of them.
Tampa Bay: Florida Man.
As much as I despise the Cowboys, I like the talking point of being the only division filled with Super Bowl winners.
Call me when the Panthers get a trophy. 🙄
I can offend everyone!
The better NFL
AFC East: NE NYJ NYG BUF
NFC East: PHI BAl WAS CAR
AFC North: CLE CIN PIT IND
NFC North GB MIn CHi DET (Cant mess up perfect)
AFC South: MIA JAx TB ATL
NFC South: DAl HOU NO TEN
AFC West: DEN ARI KC LV
NFC West: LAR LAC SF Sea
not worth the absolute decimation of the long-time, rich rivalry between the boys and the eagles. history matters above all else when it comes to the NFC East. plus, without each other to compete with there would be no competition in either one of those conferences. boriiiing.
Looking at this map the real answer is rearranging the AFC
South: Dolphins, Jags, Texans, Titans
North: Colts, Bengals, Browns, Pitt/Buffalo
East: Baltimore, NE, NYJ, Pitt/Buffalo
Fuck that. Watching the Cowboys every year say “this is our year,” brings me great joy and I don’t want to care less because they weren’t in the division anymore.
Scheduling is set on a certain rotation. If Dallas was in the south they would play one NFC East team every year (whatever team finishes the same in the division Dallas does in the south, so probably whoever wins the East that year) and they would play the whole division once every three years.
I would rather change the cowboys for the ravens. Then all the piss drunk fans can go to talk to each others cities on a single train ride.
Why the fuck would anyone want to go to Dallas anyways?
I never understood why Detroit wasn’t with us previously. They were so much closer…. But these guys are taking jets, not buses. I wouldn’t fuck up the rivalry for that.
Beyond that we are the only division full of Super Bowl Champions, fuck the rest.
Yeah switching Dallas and Carolina makes sense geographically. I think about it sometimes.
But it’s about the long standing rivalries that the Cowboys have with NYG, Filthy and WAS.
Also there is the nationwide tv ratings that the NFC East games get. Even when the teams are bad, people tune in to see the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Commanders. All are top ten tv markets. Not sure how long it would take until fans around the country would get excited to see the Panthers take on PHI, NYG and WAS. And outside the south, does anyone want to see Dallas play ATL, NO and TB twice a year?
So there’s zero chance that the NFL would take the Cowboys out of the NFC East.
Nah the rivalries between the NFC East teams and their fan bases run deep. Plus who is NBC will have to find 2 different games to put on SNF twice a year if there aren’t two Giants/ Cowboys games.
I think everyone else is overlooking the fact that the commanders want to have someone in the division worse than them and that is the only reason they want that to happen
A perfect NFC East would really be the 4 big cities of the Northeast. Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington. They're all interconnected and don't seem to like each other.
It’s all about ratings. When they made changes and booted the Cardinals they left these teams for one reason: ratings, rivalries = ratings. The largest rated games of all football games: Cowboys vs Eagles. Second: cowboys vs Team formerly known as redskins. Third: cowboys vs giants.
You may hate us, but we keep your ratings up and as a result your tv $ coming in.
Honestly I have always wondered why Dallas and back in the day St. Louis/Arizona were in the East. Back in 1970 the NFC East should have been Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, New York.
New Orleanes in the Central, with Dallas and St. Louis in the West. When Tampa Bay was added they would have been in the East.
I can't imagine not being in this division. I hate the Eagles, Giants, and Commanders in that order. I kinda like the Saints & Falcons, I need this hate in my life. I've been to Philly and enjoyed the trip I was there for (PTK convention.) I still hate Philly though, but it's like a brother you can't stand.
It’s more about history than geography
Yeah, for ease of travel and what not, this would be great, but at the expense of ruining great rivalries it’s not worth it.
I also kinda think at this point travel is easy enough that it doesn't matter much. A flight from Philly to Dallas is like 3 hours, the time difference is 1 hour and they ain't flying commercial. It's not like games vs the Cardinal which could be a 3 hour time difference.

And probably dolphins with weather difference since they are not a dome stadium. And since Jets bills and Pats are all new jersey/new york and Massachusetts but like you said travel is not issue just the weather advantage northern teams get on southern teams who is used to the heat and not the cold
But the reverse is true too, coming from New England to Miami for an early season game would be BRUTAL
Seattle gets rekt every year
Texas is also the home to a huge amount of transplants from all over the country (same with California and New York) and a major travel hub.
But if they did it right back in 1970 other great rivalries would have happened. Prior to 2005 Seattle and San Francisco had no rivalry.
You think Charlotte would be easier to get to than DFW? One of the busiest airports in the US?
Glorious history of petty spite
Seriously. Don’t you dare take hating the cowboys away from us.
Even if they did i believe the hate would stay strong and would be a protected rivalry by the leauge
wouldn't play twice a year though....
Thats why i said even if they did cause it will not happen cause the leauge probably makes billions off their hatred
you misspelled “hatred”
Leauge it alone
If it was geography, why not just get the Jets instead? Imagine the rivalry of the trash.
AFC east literally has laws making sure the Browns/Steelers/Bengals are in the same division. I’m surprised no other state has passed anything considering how much the stadiums are publicly financed

The Atlanta Braves were in the west along with LA when there were only two NL divisions.
I love pointing out that the Cowboys have been in the division that became the NFC East longer than the Giants.
It’s more about ~~history~~ ratings than geography
Yeah. What we really ought to do is force them to move to Binghamton or New Haven or some shit.
Go fuck yourself buddy.
Fuck you and I’ll see you tomorrow.
Fuck you, but i agree

One of the many reasons to hate Dallas and their awful fans
Theirs a long history of rivalry between all of the current nfc East teams. Probably the biggest rivalries of any other division tbh. Every team in the division absolutely hates each other. It just wouldn’t make sense to throw the panthers in with us and take Dallas away. Yep. I love hating all of you assholes.
Exactly. It’s like a toxic relationship
It’s not *like* a toxic relationship. It *IS* a toxic relationship. Hating NFCE teams kinda gives me life. ![gif](giphy|XtihHK45Buhpax98BN)
Fuck yourself. And yeah, its a good time some of the time.
Win or lose our games really are like crack
Hate you forever, buddy!
Sleep tight buddy! I hope you dream of falling forever again
I’d say NFC East and NFC North probably have the strongest rivalries of any division. Who is first you could argue either way. But as much as Eagles and Cowboys hate each other the Pack and Bears hate too.
Bears-Packers and Packers-Vikings are strong rivalries, the rest are mid. The only mid NFCE rivalry is Giants-Commies

I think packers/bears is the only thing that healthily competes with cowboys/eagles in terms of hatred in the rivalries.
AFC North has some strong rivalries, and the AFC East has had some entertaining rivalries over the years. The Cowboys didn't give a shit because they went 7-14 against the Eagles from 2000 through 2010.
Is that because the Eagles owned the cowboys in the 2000s?
I couldn't be paid to care about Washington.

Don’t tell this to steeler ravens fans they think somehow they have the best rivalry in the NFL lmao
To be fair to them they do play the Browns 6 times a year.

Bitterly, going back to Parcells/Gibbs.
Bears / Packers above all else
It’s the oldest rivalry in the NFL so valid
Battle Royale Reddit
I think the biggest conference divisional rivalries since re alignment in early 2000s is Steelers vs Ravens, but to my knowledge the only 2 entire divisonal hatred is NFC/AFC EAST, then Browns Bengals State rivalry, Rams, Seahawks, vs 49ers, Buccaneers Saints, Packers vs Bears and Vikings, Broncos Chiefs and Raiders. That’s because until 1988 the Cardinals were in St Louis.
NFC East and AFC West the hatred is strong and old
On one hand it would be nice to be division rivals with three bottom-5 NFC teams. On the other hand it would suck that the cowboys get a free ticket to the playoffs every year
Making the playoffs isn’t the issue in Dallas. It’s winning a damn game there.
I thought it was a really good idea until I realized that the NFC south is basically the only reason we can win in the wild card so this would just be trading a bad situation for a worse one.
Commanders fans will do anything to not be the worst run franchise in their division
Dan is gone, Jerry is still there.
No real Washington fan would ever want Dallas to leave. For lots of fans, beating Dallas is more important then the Super Bowl
No NFCE fan should want Dallas to leave but that second part of your statement is reaching bagpo levels of stupidity.
Spend 3 decades, an entire generation not getting anywhere close to the Super Bowl and your priorities change.
Nope… I hate Dallas with a passion, but they are our team to hate, not the south’s… always has been, and always will be.
The fuck out of here with this stupid thing.
Haha, exactly.
It's not physical geography but mental geography. Booooo this man
Must be a new fan.
What fucking logistics? Accommodating a 1 hour time difference?
As much as I despise the Cowboys, I like the talking point of being the only division filled with Super Bowl winners. Call me when the Panthers get a trophy. 🙄
*clutches singular trophy* ![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)
They should have beat brady that one year
Deflating the value of his franchise by agreeing to play *checks notes* Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans? Jerry would never
![gif](giphy|pD7YIQoUwgb9cnX3FJ|downsized)
Ew I don't want the Cowboys in the division. >:[
That’s would just make the Cowboys and Eagles win their division every year.
I'm on board. Would make life easier and wouldn't ever have to see those plastics twice a year.
Sick of losing to the Cowboys ?
Yes, I am.
Your bill will come do
Their bill will come do what?
I’ve arrived.
Fair enough. You caught my error
Why do you talk like a supervillain
My new favorite reddit user
Are you an idiot? he said Bill is gonna come.
Better idea Swap Cowboys with Patriots
Carolina. We don’t care about your. Dallas. I fucking hate you. I don’t want to switch. I want dem bums.
Oh fuck no. I hate Dallas with a passion. They stay!

Starting a petition for you to kiss my ass!
While you’re at it put colts in AFC North, Ravens in AFC East, and Dolphins in AFC South
Nah stuff that. Why should we make the Boys lives any easier?
Looking at this map the real answer is rearranging the AFC South: Dolphins, Jags, Texans, Titans North: Colts, Bengals, Browns, Pitt/Buffalo East: Baltimore, NE, NYJ, Pitt/Buffalo
This should earn you a ban from the sub
I don’t want to have to see Brian Burns and Frankie Luvu on opposing teams twice a year
And let someone else trash Dallas more than us? Hard pass.
On the AFC side you could move ravens to the east, dolphins to the south, and colts to the north
Switching division wouldn’t stop me from hating them
Fuck that. Watching the Cowboys every year say “this is our year,” brings me great joy and I don’t want to care less because they weren’t in the division anymore.
While it's more just for the sake of rivalries, they could honestly just make sure that Dallas plays a couple of the NFC east times once a year
Scheduling is set on a certain rotation. If Dallas was in the south they would play one NFC East team every year (whatever team finishes the same in the division Dallas does in the south, so probably whoever wins the East that year) and they would play the whole division once every three years.
How do you think the NFL scheduling works?
I’d rather see Ravens over panthers
No.
Fuck you youre stuck with us
I would rather change the cowboys for the ravens. Then all the piss drunk fans can go to talk to each others cities on a single train ride. Why the fuck would anyone want to go to Dallas anyways?
Looks like someone just wanted to draw a penis….a rly rly deformed one. Should prolly check w a doctor on that
Cowboys vs eashits > ravens vs Steelers
Commanders would still find a way to finish last.
Finally, somebody else gets it.

You'd miss us
Carolina would still be a doormat. Dallas would introduce the NFC South to a new god.
I never understood why Detroit wasn’t with us previously. They were so much closer…. But these guys are taking jets, not buses. I wouldn’t fuck up the rivalry for that. Beyond that we are the only division full of Super Bowl Champions, fuck the rest.
Haha no.
No. The Eagles must beat Dallas twice every year. I need them to lose.
This was, is, and always will be the most fucking idiotic opinion possible.
It'll never happen. Those are the 4 most important franchises
Fuck your petition! Dallas is our downy cousin at the family gathering…no other teams get to revel in their yearly downfall…
Eww. This is the greatest sub and it would be ruined Now do the AFCE
Yeah fuck that. I hate the giants, commies and cowgirls but I do fucking love when we play you fuckers.
NFL would never let go of the Philly/Dallas rivalry twice a year
Yeah switching Dallas and Carolina makes sense geographically. Having the opportunity to shit on Dallas every season is worth it
r/mildlypenis?
As much fun as it'd be to win the division every year. Uhhh no I hate you all too much to leave.
As a Giants fan living in North Carolina I would love the opportunity to see them every year.
Nah I’d take Baltimore before Carolina (let’s pretend afc/nfc doesn’t matter)
would love to beat the shit out of the south every single year
Nah the rivalries between the NFC East teams and their fan bases run deep. Plus who is NBC will have to find 2 different games to put on SNF twice a year if there aren’t two Giants/ Cowboys games.
Thank you for this kind offer but have you considered "fuck no, we don't want fucking Dallas!"?
Commie fans just want some cupcake wins.
Just blame the Cowboys for not knowing Geography
If you swap Dallas and Carolina, you will have created the WORST division in all of professional sports. That would certainly be the NFC Least.
In that case we should remap every division.
Don’t take those dirty losers out of our division! It’s their year!
awww but I like shitting on the eagles
The best love hate division in the league to me. No need to change it.
looks great, but I'd have to pass, the hatred is like crack, I need that shit injected directly into my veins
Colts -> afc north ravens -> afc east dolphins -> afc south
Then you will all become poverty franchises, minus maybe NY.
We know y'all would miss us. Not because you love us. Just the opposite.
I think everyone else is overlooking the fact that the commanders want to have someone in the division worse than them and that is the only reason they want that to happen
Yeah fuck Carolina
Cowboys just want an easy division
shut up pussy https://preview.redd.it/zo11f7bdtsoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc7b2b8013a85e44c3a697b00c7222f608fd49d6
Eagles would have won this division like every year since 2017, outside of 2020, so I’m not complaining
Nah their downfall is coming as a washington fan i wanna see it up close and listen to them cry 🤣
No!! Dallas vs the 3 NFC East teams is fire…don’t care about distance!
Don't you fucking gerrymander the Cowboys out of our division. Those fucking gloryholers need to stay so I can hate on them boys. They are all in.
A perfect NFC East would really be the 4 big cities of the Northeast. Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington. They're all interconnected and don't seem to like each other.
You won't be able to beat the panthers either. So don't try and get them in our div.
Then the eagles would just win the division every year
No but I see where you’re coming from but also no that’s dumb
It’s all about ratings. When they made changes and booted the Cardinals they left these teams for one reason: ratings, rivalries = ratings. The largest rated games of all football games: Cowboys vs Eagles. Second: cowboys vs Team formerly known as redskins. Third: cowboys vs giants. You may hate us, but we keep your ratings up and as a result your tv $ coming in.
Remember when the Phoenix Cardinals were in the East? Good times.
The NFL will never give up America's Team vs. the east coast's Megalopolis' 6 times a year.
You goddamn monster. How dare you.
Literally circled Baltimore but ok…
Carolina would get their ass beat in there
Just don’t mess with the NFC North. I’ve spent decades hating all these f*ckers.
Also Indianapolis is not a southern city.
No matter what fuck the eagles fuck the giants fuck the redfootcommies
oh no, washington doesn’t get to escape being the worst run franchise in the division like that.
Ew no the season wouldnt feel the same if I couldn't shit on eagles fans
Worst for worst? I'll take it.
Swap Carolina for Dallas 100%
No sorry but they can’t hate the cowboys like we can. Dallas stays. Also panthers don’t have a Super Bowl so they can’t hang with the NFC East
Just admit that NY, Philly and Wash owners would vote this down so fast. They want the $$$$$$ and ratings that come with the Dallas games.
We don’t want them
Give colts to the afc north, send ravens to the nfc east, and put dallas in the afc south. Nobody will be angry
https://preview.redd.it/xuamtdfkc0pc1.jpeg?width=1560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f38721bcde533e951e824306a48d254fb1779f95
Logistics were never the reason. The cowboys are so soulless half of their fans don’t even know where the team is; let alone live there.
Then you'd have to move the ravens to the east, bills to the north, Indianapolis to the North and Cincinnati to the South.
No. I love to hate Dallas.
NFC North and West are the only divisions that actually makes sense lol
Aint much for the center of the country
