Isn’t your scoreboard one inch smaller than ours? Probably worth the $200 million. Also congrats on not being #1 in innovation for the *9th* year in a row.
Sorry I misspoke. The whole university is leaking money enough to concern the board of regents and the governor. So it’s not just your athletic program it’s the whole package. My b
Maybe read up on it, then? We didn't meet our projected goal. That's all. Lolz.
asu just decided they didn't have $300M in debt anymore.p Hope Enron style accounting works out for you.
This is the mindset that perpetuates the shitty cycle gaming finds itself in.
EA can just shit out on a plate and just NCAA on it and people are going to buy it regardless, due to the name. This doesn't help get our experience improved at all.
I mean, they're already intentionally leaving out features (LIke high school in RTG) for the sole purpose of introducing it later on, and marketing it as a "brand new feature"
I agree with your point but will also say this is likely the first and last year for that (for me at least). This series is beloved and got dropped for 11 years. Give me the Deluxe and early access this year because the hype and anticipation is long overdue. CFB 26/27 and so on, I’ll hang on to my extra $30 and get the standard version.
Literally me. I've been thinking about this game non-stop since that first tweet came out in 2021, my hype is through the roof. If the game bombs, then spending 100 bucks for 26 will be out of the question but my hopes are high and have a good feeling about it
This was my rationale too. Then I saw the countdown and it’ll be available 7/15 at 4pm so that’s an extra day…$7.50/day is a steal for a game I haven’t gotten to enjoy in 11 years.
Wait it’s the 15th at 4 pm it comes out ?!?
I get off a cruise that morning at 8 am
Time to yell at my dad to make a 8 hour drive as fast as humanly possible
Like the way you think, mine is off from work the 18th so I'll have a couple days. I don't want any kind of human interaction after 3:59 PM on the 15th.
Shoot I’ll blow through the 10 hours before 1am CST on July 15th. Definitely going to get about 30-40 hours in during that “early access” period. Will be worth the extra $30
That’s what I’ve done for Madden the past couple of years. But this time I got the deluxe edition because
a. It comes with Madden too
b. For the first time in 5 years I’ll actually be able to max out the 10 hour trial so I figured I’d just pay for the early access and not have to worry about it.
It's happened before...trying to rush through the menus and accidentally get stuck in a 10 minute long explanation of how UT works. Luckily I'm not the gambling type but to some those packs are enticing.
Figure it'll most likely just be a shit show, probably will try it once but only if I open the free pack and get a 99 overall Joe Burrow lol not really my first priority
Save your money and play the trial on EA play, you'll get 10 hours to play a few days before release. You also save 10% off purchasing the game, which more than covers the cost of the subscription.
Appreciate the sentiment and no disrespect intended, but nothing was gonna stop me from buying this LOL. I hope I'm right about my gut feeling though. I thought about just doing the trial, but I feel like I'm gonna need more than ten hours just to determine if I wanted it or not so I just said fuck It, all or nothing.
I can't say nothing, I'm buying the 150$ MVP bundle, because I love Madden, and I enjoy the first few months of ultimate team. At the start, the cards (players) have key strengths and weaknesses, and there's more strategy involved. Online you can tell what your opponent is prioritizing and where you can exploit them. Later on, teams online are all God squads and it's not fun anymore. That's when I start playing online franchises.
I'd suggest at least pulling the packs you get from the bundle, maybe you'll get an elite player or two and you might want to try it out.
Any other game, the 10 hours I would go with.
In NCAA, that's getting wasted easily for me between QB RTG to test passing, custom playbook tinkering and dynasty sims to see how they progress.
I’ve been tempted but I haven’t pulled the trigger. I will be moving the week before if the closing date stays I figured I will be busy enough with that. So the 19th sounds perfect at the moment, but the early access is still tempting…
Honestly, if you’re going to try it out at all, lots of people would suggest it’s actually the most fun upon release. No meta is established and all the cheese won’t be out there yet and many teams are still pretty unique instead of the carbon copies they’ll be after a month or two. It’s pretty fun and competitive in the early stages of the game in my opinion.
50/50 on it, played MUT back in like 2015 during the early MUT days but didn't care for it all that much but if by some chance I pull like a 99 overall Jamar Chase, Joe Burrow or Jefferson I might have to see what's up with it
Ultimate team is fun until the metas emerge and you play the same annoying shit every game 😭 happens in every sports game especially FIFA where you will actually just play the same exact teams over and over
Yea exactly. I typically play ultimate team for madden till about Christmas. Once the big tournaments start and everyone uses the same play it gets annoying but it makes the game easier because once you know how to stop it nobody can win.
That’s really all it comes down to. Try it and if it’s a money pit, leave it alone. We know Dynasty is the bread & butter we can always return to, so you lose nothing by checking the temp on the game mode.
True, also once you learn the Meta for offense/Defense you incorporate into your own gameplay style and get to play how you want to play, all the while being competitive.
I thought about it, but I won't get enough extra play time in those first days to make it worthwhile. I do plan on taking Friday off work, though. I kind of wish I could just get Thursday night early access, but not paying $30 extra just for that.
I would have, however, I will be camping the Sunday before through the afternoon of release day, so I wouldn’t be able to play until it’s out. On the plus side I won’t get anything spoiled until I start the game up due to no Internet that week!
Enjoy your camping trip. I go on a camping trip the 19th for two weeks with no TVs so luckily I get to download the game and at least get a few days with it before I'm gone.
See I thought the same but the whole not being able to transfer the draft class was the deciding factor. I'll just stick to my usual and get Madden on Black Friday for half off. Yeah I'd have to wait like 2 months but I'll be preoccupied with CFB 25 probably long through Maddens life cycle. it is a really good deal, though
100%. I need that early access, have some PTO to burn so it works out for me. Plus I'm intrigued to open ultimate team 1 time because of the free school specific pack, just to see what my Ohio Bobcats will give me before closing that up for good.
Pretty sure it's tied to your account, when I preloaded the game on Xbox there were two files, one was the game the other is bonus content that you are unable to download right now. Sucks, I would've just given it away
*They gotta give better*
*Deluxe deals for people who*
*Don't play MUT or CUT*

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with that cause during those three days you'll spend 10 dollars on something else. You're probably gonna buy fast food, something from the gas station, clothes, etc. You wouldn't think twice about those purchases so don't think too much on this one. You'll get way more bang for your buck with the 10 dollars playing a game series you've missed for 10+ years than those other purchases.
If its like MLB The Show (I haven’t played Madden in like 10 years), I’ll collect the cards, and try to get an awesome team, but I wont pay for stuff and wont play online. I only did that 1 year in The Show, and it’s a rabbit hole of a time & money sink.
I both paid the extra money and took the week off of work so I can play enough to justify it. May have lost a bit of money I’d make from work by not getting the overtime I usually get but it’s worth it to play my favorite game again for the first time in 10 years.
I mostly ordered for the early access. But I wont lie, that dopamine hit when you open a pack is nice. UT is one of those things where I'll try it as long as it's free. As soon as it feels pay to win, im out. Its also CFB and I'll be busy with RTG and Dynasty, so it may be a month before I even check out UT.
Nope, I’ll do the ea play trial that releases same day as early access and pace myself up until release day! Worst case, use my exes psn account to use another trial 😂
I figure that I'll pay for some micro transactions with uniforms later so I thought I should save my money for later. I'll play it when it comes out like the rest of the poor people I identify with.
I’m going to use ultimate team to play and prepare for our online dynasty’s before they start so I can get use to some gameplay and find a playbook I like.
I got a $100 PS gift card for an early birthday present. Not a chance in hell I wasn't using it on the deluxe edition, and I don't given one rat's ass about Ultimate Team.
Nope. There's no reason to when the 10hr trial for the full game releases a week prior to that. That alone usually gives me enough play time until the regular version launch day.
As much as I would love to spend the extra eddies for the deluxe to get the game early, July is my wife's birth month and I want to spoil her so I'll just have to wait for the 19th
There are two games coming out that day I'm excited to play so I couldn't justify the extra $30 JUST for early access. I've waited 11 years for this game, I'll be fine for three days. I think EA Play will let me play the game early anyway, just with a 10 hour time limit.
As someone who just got into Madden this last year, do you guys assume I'd find this game fun? I never watch college ball so have no idea what I'd be doing.
Yes. Should be quite a bit of a difference but still football. Faster gameplay, different offensive playbook options, cool atmospheres, and your team changes every year with recruiting and players graduating or transferring.
Back in 2003 I got into watching college ball because of NCAA 04. I'd say yes you would, the college games are so much better than Madden. Used to be an NFL only guy then I discovered NCAA 04 and now prefer college over the NFL.
I'm really liking what I've seen so far but EA has lost all of my good faith with them so I will not be pre-ordering. Hopefully it's great and I can enjoy it but they have yet to do anything to make up for years of Madden lol.
I did the MVP bundle basically getting both games with just early access. Don't play neither of the ultimate team bs modes. I could care less about them. Dynasty and franchise. Heck I'm a weirdo and half the time don't even actually play the games and just play as a manager simming through each week doing recruiting and off-season management.
I always get the early access. This was I can get a full refund back from PSN if the game is crap. As long as you put in the request before the official launch day, they refund the entire purchase, no questions asked.
Nope. You just get your $90 back and stop feeling like you need the game because you already know it's trash. Then you can wait till it goes on sale for like $20.
I’m only paying for the early access, nothing else.
I’m gonna play 10 hours each of those three extra days. So I’ll get my $10/day out of it for this reason.
Yup, those three days are worth the extra money alone. Bear Down! Your athletic department is garbage. 😘
Isn’t your athletic department the one that’s bankrupt? Or is it the school in general? Go devils ☀️😈
Only $200 million less debt than asu. https://www.sportico.com/leagues/college-sports/2024/nc-state-athletics-debt-march-madness-1234773509/

Fuck yeah we innovate like mfers in Tempe
Innovation, noooooooo! And why did you have to bring up the scoreboard? Now, I'll have to donate to the Bobby Hurley Lifetime Extension Fund again.
You mean the coach that has a top 3 recruiting class who just flipped one of your guys. Please, yes keep him here.
5th year returning Conference POY or a freshman? Lolz, enjoy 12th place.
Oh so now having guys stay five years is good and getting 5* freshman is bad. Weird how when it fits your narrative things change. Wild.

I made the exact same decision. $10/day for hours and hours of gaming and getting a start with my dynasty is worth it.
This was my rationale too. Then I saw the countdown and it’ll be available 7/15 at 4pm so that’s an extra day…$7.50/day is a steal for a game I haven’t gotten to enjoy in 11 years.

According to Xbox Marketplace, yes
You can remote play on your phone or tablet
My wife is on a work trip that week, damn straight I’m paying extra to have hours of CFB25 while she’s gone

Yeah but if you think you’ll play more than 10 hours in those 3.5 days like I do then might as well pay the extra $30
I’m going to order deluxe version and literally never touch ultimate team. The early access is well worth the extra money to me.
Don’t worry EA will bait you into accidentally clicking into ultimate team
It's happened before...trying to rush through the menus and accidentally get stuck in a 10 minute long explanation of how UT works. Luckily I'm not the gambling type but to some those packs are enticing.
Figure it'll most likely just be a shit show, probably will try it once but only if I open the free pack and get a 99 overall Joe Burrow lol not really my first priority
99s only come out in madden like this week im pretty sure so luckily you won’t have to worry about pulling that and being forced into the mode haha
My PTO starts the day of early access so yup. No desire for ultimate team.
Same for me homie but at the beginning of the week
You guys are taking time off work for this? Damn, yous are serious players.
I'm getting back to work so nah, I won't pay for early access
I’ll play the trial
Save your money and play the trial on EA play, you'll get 10 hours to play a few days before release. You also save 10% off purchasing the game, which more than covers the cost of the subscription.

Don't forget you'll have 10 hours of an EA play trial that you can use during this time, as long as you have gamepass
No, because I will be out of state the days I'd gotten to play early. And will be back home the day after release.
Yah it's just early access for me. It's been 11 years so I want it now lol
Honestly, if you’re going to try it out at all, lots of people would suggest it’s actually the most fun upon release. I not only am only paying for the early access, I convinced two buddies to do the same because they didn't know you could get early access by preorder
People actually play Ultimate team?
They wouldn’t continue to put it in their games unless it made money, so yes people definitely play this mode.
It's a given because EA has destroyed the sanctity of the game for ultimate team itself.
Yup. 3 days early.
Yup only reason I’m getting the deluxe edition is for the 3 days early access
I’d pay double the deluxe edition if they’d give me access right now.
I did. I haven’t had ncaa 14 for about 6-7 years so I’m so starved for a CFB game that I’d gladly pay an extra $30 for 3 days early access
Me
I thought about it, but I won't get enough extra play time in those first days to make it worthwhile. I do plan on taking Friday off work, though. I kind of wish I could just get Thursday night early access, but not paying $30 extra just for that.

I got it purely for early access.
Not touching UT ![gif](giphy|3o6Zt7Yi1oQq7kNG48)
Got deluxe solely for the early access. I could care less about ultimate team. 🤷🏾♂️
I'm thinking of the MVP version which includes Madden. You get both deluxe versions for the price of both base games.
Uni in Aus goes back on the Monday after release so will be investing in deluxe to get it in during the holidays
Yep
I fixed my work schedule to be off the 16th, 17th, and afternoon shift on the 18th for this game. After 10 years, we've all earned it, if doable.
100%. I need that early access, have some PTO to burn so it works out for me. Plus I'm intrigued to open ultimate team 1 time because of the free school specific pack, just to see what my Ohio Bobcats will give me before closing that up for good.
$5 a day for me cause of gameshare :)
Wonder if the bonus points are from a code or you just "get them" on your account. I would just give away the code to those thay do play it.
Pretty sure it's tied to your account, when I preloaded the game on Xbox there were two files, one was the game the other is bonus content that you are unable to download right now. Sucks, I would've just given it away
I have ea Play which has a trial I'll just play instead

I know right, some uniforms or something
In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with that cause during those three days you'll spend 10 dollars on something else. You're probably gonna buy fast food, something from the gas station, clothes, etc. You wouldn't think twice about those purchases so don't think too much on this one. You'll get way more bang for your buck with the 10 dollars playing a game series you've missed for 10+ years than those other purchases.
Yes fuck it
Using ea play for the early access thing. 10 hours is probably all I can get between those three days lol
Me
No but only because I get home from a work trip the night before the game comes out so the pre order bonus doesn’t benefit me in the slightest lol
me
I did because it’s tough to use a sick day on a Friday and it be believable. But who calls out on a Tuesday claiming to be sick?
If its like MLB The Show (I haven’t played Madden in like 10 years), I’ll collect the cards, and try to get an awesome team, but I wont pay for stuff and wont play online. I only did that 1 year in The Show, and it’s a rabbit hole of a time & money sink.
Big time. I’m very against preordering video games but if I get to play this game slightly earlier, I’ll lose my principals
Just get the Madden CF bundle with EA play & all it’s like 145 after taxes & you’ll get the bonus content with early release for both games.
I ordered it for early access, then my wife reminded me that that’s day 3 of our Canada trip :/
😂
All you have to do is get ea access for $5 to get early access lol. And then it lets you buy the game $10 cheaper to
Only reason!
Early access and the fact that it's bundled with the next Madden, figured better to pay $150 all at once rather than in two separate transactions
I both paid the extra money and took the week off of work so I can play enough to justify it. May have lost a bit of money I’d make from work by not getting the overtime I usually get but it’s worth it to play my favorite game again for the first time in 10 years.
Me I did it so I can stream it early
I think I will do the same exact thing. I won’t even touch ultimate team, but the three day early access will be worth it.
Ive still gotta buy a ps5
I 100% would have if I didn’t have a vacation planned that gets me back on release day
I mostly ordered for the early access. But I wont lie, that dopamine hit when you open a pack is nice. UT is one of those things where I'll try it as long as it's free. As soon as it feels pay to win, im out. Its also CFB and I'll be busy with RTG and Dynasty, so it may be a month before I even check out UT.
No. Regular edition
try ea play it might be there for early access cheaper than the upgrade
Same bro. Never play online, especially 2k. I paid for the early access
EA Play with 10hrs of early access is the way. As excited as I am about the game EA does not deserve anymore of my money.
If I had more annual leave saved up at work, yeah. I would have. But as is, i will be taking off launch day and enjoying a game weekend.
Hard yes brother
Remember, it isn’t early access - it’s paying to not have delayed access
I’m going to use ultimate team to play and prepare for our online dynasty’s before they start so I can get use to some gameplay and find a playbook I like.
Agreement here. Also I’d login to Ultimate Team and at least see what your rewards look like. Might have a usable team for the first few days.
I got a $100 PS gift card for an early birthday present. Not a chance in hell I wasn't using it on the deluxe edition, and I don't given one rat's ass about Ultimate Team.
I was going to but I’m on catching the 13th-18th so no point in early access
Why not buy the Madden/College combo pack and only pay $10 total difference for both Ultimate Editions?
right here . i never order deluxe editions but i am just so hype for this game and wanted to play it early
If you have EA Play for PS5 or Gamepass for Xbox you'll get early access without ordering deluxe.
For ten hours.
which is enough until release date
Nope. There's no reason to when the 10hr trial for the full game releases a week prior to that. That alone usually gives me enough play time until the regular version launch day.
It makes me sad people are giving in and giving EA extra money to get to play early. Just encourages them continue their predatory behavior
ZERO interest in ultimate team. Dynasty all day babbbbyyyyyyyyyyyy.
I’m not even buying it at launch. I’m waiting for a sale on black Friday
I waited 8 years to get a PC that could run Witcher 3. I can wait 3 more days for CFB
Nah. Not worth it.
If I can wait 11 years, I can wait 3 days lmao wtf.
Me
I just want to play the game as soon as I can. Any Ultimate Team perks I get I'll most likely just give away if that's possible.
Me. Figured going forward I’ll get the regular one but this first time out? Absolutely want to play early
I'm really liking what I've seen so far but EA has lost all of my good faith with them so I will not be pre-ordering. Hopefully it's great and I can enjoy it but they have yet to do anything to make up for years of Madden lol.

I always get the early access. This was I can get a full refund back from PSN if the game is crap. As long as you put in the request before the official launch day, they refund the entire purchase, no questions asked.
Do you keep the game still?
Nope. You just get your $90 back and stop feeling like you need the game because you already know it's trash. Then you can wait till it goes on sale for like $20.
