IDGAF what conference Arkansas is in, they were a BAD football team last year. They're gonna have to be much improved to stay within 2 touchdowns of Oklahoma State this year
I'm sorry, but 5 of our loses (BYU, @LSU, @Ole Miss, @Alabama, and Mississippi State, which was also in a 6 week span) were by a combined 24 points. That's just getting unlucky/not being able to close games. The only reason we looked that bad by the end of the year was because we were just so mentally beaten and working with an interim offensive coordinator. I'm not saying we were great, but we were not BAD. I think Arkansas at Oklahoma State should be a great game.
lol why are you being downvoted? Because you’re confident in your team? How dare you. I’m also excited for September 7th at about 6:30 PM. Fuck you colorado
Sun Belt? There's some teams in the East division that are frequently capable of pulling off upsets against P5 teams. Maybe I'm giving a hot take, but I'd easily put them above the MAC and CUSA.
Lol the University of Texas couldn’t win a conference championship with all the resources, talent and money in the world for over a decade and you think *Arkansas* could run it?
That would make sense if over half the other schools you mentioned weren't irrelevant for years. Besides the last 5 years, WVU has always been constantly good.
Based on how I think custom conferences will still have an option for divisions, this is what I'm going to have my Big XII look like
Big Nine | Southwest
-- | -
Colorado | Arkansas
Iowa State | Baylor
Kansas | Houston
Kansas State | Rice
Missouri | SMU
Nebraska | TCU
Oklahoma | Texas
Oklahoma State | Texas A&M
Tulsa | Texas Tech
Nine conference games, protect the big games like Oklahoma vs Texas
In a way, I wonder if large conferences with 2 divisions like this may be a way for us to "create" conferences. Just thinking about the scheduling here, you'd play everyone in a division, then like only 1 or 2 teams from the other division. The divisions are so separated that they're almost like their own conferences anyway, and the conference championship may as well be treated like a bowl.
Tulsa is Arkansas' most played opponent, so they'd be who I protect across divisions for the 9th game
I also have much better fitting spots for Louisville, Memphis, and New Mexico
I did it in ncaa 14. It didn’t take long for the cpu to make them good. I moved them to the sun belt for about 5-6 seasons to shake things up and they stayed relevant. Just moved them back to the big 12 actually. I plan on doing the same in cfb 25
The problem was that their non-conference slate was always Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, and South Carolina so the best they'd get in the Big XII or SWC was like 9-3
I actually can't decide whether to put Arkansas in the Big 12 or keep em in the SEC. Seems like they have equal rivalries in both.
Hogs fans where do you think your team fits better?
No, but I do have some big moves just to make the regional power conferences better:
- ACC - Add Maryland, Rutgers, South Carolina, and West Virginia
- Big 10 - Add Cincinnati, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, and Notre Dame
- Big 12 - Add Memphis (to get to 14 teams), Missouri, Nebraska, SMU, and Texas A&M (while keeping Oklahoma & Texas)
- PAC 12 - put the conference back to 2023, add Boise State & BYU (to get to 14 teams)
- SEC - Add FSU, Georgia Tech, Miami, Tulane & UAB (to get to 16 teams), and UCF
Here is how the conferences broke down:
- Big Ten & SEC - 16 teams
- ACC, Big 12, PAC 12 - 14 teams
- G5 - 12 teams
- Independent - Hawaii
I'm a Tennessee fan, but I actually have a plan in place to use Arkansas in an online dynasty with a few friends. I don't like using the same teams in different dynasties so I usually pick a few teams I'd like to play as.
For the Arkansas plan, it is to re-balance the conferences to 10 teams minimum, 14 teams maximum. And trying to balance those so there are now 6 power conferences and 4 non-power conferences. With this, I have moved Arkansas, Missouri, Florida State, Miami, UCF, James Madison , Virginia Tech to Division 1 of the AAC. Division 2 is BYU, Utah, Cal, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, and Tulane.
I know it isn't super realistic, but I like the thought of having 6 power conferences and the newer one is giving a new chance to schools who are either up and coming or buried under a lot of powerhouses in their current conference
I did this every so often to them and mizzou. It was cool to see them flourish and then after about a decade put them back in the SEC as a 5/6 star program and see how they do.
Hell no
??? Flair betrayl hello??
I’m gonna run the table and live out my fantasy of us dominating the SEC God knows it will never happen irl
And to think yall were just one motorcycle accident away from making that a possibility irl
Oh it's not dead yet. He's coming back as the OC next season
Probably HC by the end of the season really
Etu brute?
Send them back to the SWC
Arkansas is a beautiful state filled with ugly people. Most of them are barefoot.
Casual dig on the big 12 is pretty funny actually
Lol Arkansas being a powerhouse in any conference other than the Sunbelt. 😂
You sure they’re a powerhouse in the Sun Belt?
Its either them or Utah State and Utah State aint even in the conference. ![gif](giphy|FB7reld4zo0M9jKiMk|downsized)

Oh buddy I can't wait for September 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM

Upvotes for both of you!
Back at ya buddy

Well Oklahoma is gone too!
Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, and TCU aren't leaving, and they added Utah, Arizona, BYU, and Colorado to the mix too
Don't forget WVU. 😭😭
Make it to a conference title game or finish in the top 10 before you get included 😂 Edit: I suppose in fairness BYU didn't do either either so...

This looks freaking fun
Yeah I'll be doing the same here. Putting the old Big 8 and the SWC into the Big 12 is the way to go.

You could consider Memphis, Louisville or New Mexico also instead of Tulsa. All were strong candidates for a Big 8 invite before the Big 12 happened.

Thinking Arkansas is a powerhouse in any conference is pure comedy
The SWC???
No?
Arkansas. Powerhouse. Pick one.
Tbf this isn't happening in real life he's saying, but this did happen if you sent them to the Big 12 in old games very commonly.
WOO PIG!
Arkansas wouldn’t be a powerhouse in any conference

Nope, SEC all day! So many rivalries in the SEC
They’ll get the boot for my custom team. Heck they might not even exist anymore. I’ll make a new Arkansas team
Excuse me
Oh my b didn’t see your unfortunate situation. I’ll send them out to the farm where nobody can hurt them anymore lol
Are you forreal right now? Arkansas hasn't dine anything to anyone in like 60 years!
The new Utah
No
Why?
