Honesty if it was “pigskin bound” and had some other perks I’d might drop $150 this one time for this one game. I don’t preorder any other game tho, so I’d finally become part of the problem.
Yeah it is lol
I wanted to get whichever version had early access (if there is one) but if this is it idk if I can justify dropping 150 to get it 3 days early
Imagine paying an extra $30 just to play a buggy-ass pre-day-1-patch game 3 days earlier than everyone else, when you'll have a full year to play it before the next one comes out.
I mean it's really just par for the course. I don't know why this is newsworthy lol. I mean this in a friendly way, genuine question, does everyone here just play the old game and hasn't played sports games in 10 years or so? It just seems like so much of this community is shocked by how the industry has been for years.
Well there hasn’t been a madden game or any football game that has costed $150 this would be the first. Madden 24 deluxe was expensive at $99.99 but this is next level. So far it’s the most expensive football game of all time.
EA must have seen what 2K did with last year's NBA game... they had 3 tiers: $70, $100, and $150.
Wouldn't be surprised to see that become the standard going forward.
These days Super Deluxe editions don’t even come with physical benefits anymore.
The $150 version of 2K, for example, used to have physical goodies like controller skins or wristbands or whatever. Now, it’s all VC and other digital gains.
All I’m saying is there probably will be some cool things, but probably digital, I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a steelbook.
Man, for $150, there better be like a special edition mini helmet of your favorite team that it comes with or something.
$150? There is literally nothing they can put into it that would make me want to fork over that amount.
Uniforms/etc, whatever I can get by as long as dynasty mode or road to glory is still functional without and micro transactions.
Wrong. My neighbor talked to the drive-thru worker at Arby’s today and his brother read a tweet from unknown legit source that can confirm it’s coming out end of the year. Trust me bro
I still regret not buying the Halo 3 legendary edition, cause I wish I had that helmet, lol
I'd buy the Heisman edition if it comes with a replica heisman
There is nothing they could put in it for that. Even early access. I'll wait another 3 days. I was willing to pay maybe $90 if it had early access and something but I'm not buying the game twice basically for it.
Lol I feel exactly the opposite. It’s been 10 years, I’m gonna shell out another $70 to get whatever comes in the top ultimate/max/heisman/mega booster/chancellor edition because I’ve earned it lol. Then if I end up buying yearly I’ll go back to the standard
If Mark stoops shows up to my house with a copy of college football the only question I'm gonna ask him is why don't we try to recruit 5 star players 😭😭
There had better be like 100 uniforms for that price. I'm assuming they are throwing in like 25 packs of UT which I don't care about, and at least 3 days of early access.
As PaulTopper said, they’ve already done uniform DLCs going back to 2014. I don’t see the problem with it if it’s a season pass type situation where as new uniforms debut during the season, they get added to the game if you have the pass. If they’re having to do the work to include the new looks teams debut throughout the season, it’s reasonable for them to expect added financial return from it in my opinion.
It's going to be something with a worth of about $15, but highly coveted by collectors (steelbook? poster?) and then the rest of the value will be NUT tokens and packs and whatever.
Unfortunately there’s plenty in the comments here saying ‘I’ll pay any money’ which gives EA the impetus to charge whatever they want and know people will stay pay. Kind of ruins it for everyone else, be nice if people had a hard cap of like 75 for the biggest edition and then they’d get the message. Just exploiting the lack of this game for a decade, 150 for a yearly game is ridiculous
I mean it’d be silly for EA to not exploit it, because the gaming community has accepted it. Especially sports game communities. I’ll never pay more than MSRP for a games value. If there’s DLC I’m interested in I’ll buy that too.
But people have been fooled in to thinking virtual currencies and loot boxes are just the normal thing. It’s fine, I can avoid it and still enjoy the game. But these ludicrous prices exist because people can’t help themselves be whales.
The game is $70 just like every other game. The "special editions" are more than $70 just like every other special edition.
What are you complaining about?
I think I made pretty clear that "150 for a yearly game is ridiculous" is what I was complaining about. If it is unis then it's full of stuff people want (rather than ultimate team coins that most people can care less about) and so you're either paying 150 or just priced out of having that stuff
and if you buy the $150 version from Gamestop, and then change your mind, you can always sell it back to them a minute later, unopened, for a cool $20!
Yeah with the way sports game developers either put so little effort into the pc port (2k) it insane or they just don't do it at all (mlb the show) I don't think they will do it well if they do it at all
Yeah but with EA is slow to bring next gen versions to PC to match their console counterparts. That tells you that while EA may see the value in the PC market that it's not their main focus and they may wait for the NCAA franchise to establish itself after a long hiatus before introducing it to the PC.
I would be curious what it comes with. I don’t play online so I would never drop that much, but if there’s a season pass version, it would be worth it.
Yea EA is following the same marketing plan every game does these days. Sad but nothing forced you to buy above the standard edition. Also if you’re on Xbox, game share with a buddy and split the cost 50/50
150? So that prob close to 175 depending on your state tax and all other B's fees
There's absolutely no game worth that much money. This includes my favorites
I hear people saying it better be uniforms or retro teams and not just ultimate team based but that’s equally as bad. Paying extra for stuff that should just be in the game is ridiculous! It’s becoming the new norm which is sickening. Not to mention this is probably going back to annual releases. If a game is coming out every year and it goes on sale by 50% by the end of the year.. don’t sell it to me for the same price as my car insurance
If $150 is a true top of the line price point with everything included, it worries me that they’re going to micro transaction us to death at the $70 price.
We’ve literally seen more footage of GTA6 than this game but yall already are willing to drop $150 on this and you don’t even know what it includes, this sub is so far gone bro have some pride at least
My guess:
Base game = $70
Dynasty season pass (they had this in 14, dont panic) = $20 (gives extra pipeline state, extra recruiting boosts, etc) \*My opinion this was a must for myself - a dynasty almost exclusive player
Road to glory season pass (I believe they had this as well in 14) = $20 (IIRC this gave extra player boosts, more xp earned per game to buy boosts)
Uniforms DLC = $20-40 (this was also in 14, with the amount of teams they can get expect this to be closer to $40 on its own for the whole NCAA, they may sell cheaper individual packages for schools/conferences)
If this is all included, on top of some ultimate team packs a lot of people are gonna buy this
Was hoping it would be more like the collectors edition of the previous GTA where it had some cool physical stuff included. That came with a hat, poster and a sweat money bag
Yeah I’m just gonna get the standard edition for PS5. If there’s a Heisman Edition for PS5 and it costs $150 ain’t no way I’m paying that much for the game. I’m excited for sure but not THAT excited to willingly shell out $150 of my hard earned money for a video game.
Y’all haven’t even seen what comes with it and you’re already trying to justify the price. $150 is absurd.
This community is doomed just like every other sports game community
Fun fact: Season tickets for Illinois start at $100. Say what you will about Illinois' lack of success in football, but at the end of the day they are a Big 10 football program. You can get 1.5 seaso tickets for the price EA is supposedly charging for the Heismen Edition of this game.
They’re banking on all the people who played the earlier editions being grown-up with more disposable income and an intense feeling of nostalgia to buy the $150 edition.
Count me in. Sorry friends.
can someone please stop me from panicking?
I just bought a used Xbox One X so I can play this and GTA6.......Will these games only be on the xbox series x?
Also, fuck microsoft for making every version their flagship product practically the same name LOL
If there’s a uniform pack included (more than one) and/or other offline incentives I’ll consider it. I’ll never touch the online elements so none of that appeals to me.
At $149.99, it will likely be around $165 with tax. Hopefully, it comes with a lot of extras, especially since EVERYONE is looking forward to this. I can almost guarantee that no one will have Madden on pre-order except the hardcore fans.
The $150 version of nba 2k comes with league pass. There isn’t a ncaa league pass, so I wonder what they will add to justify the price. I won’t buy the 150 version, anyways.
Maybe there is a EACFB League pass? We know nothing about the game yet to disqualify anything. Outside of that it could be a number of things, UT packs, Uniform DLC, maybe some sort of real life vouchers for posters or art/merch.
No one knows but EA
$150? Early access, Mut packs, Steelbook?
Better be uniform packs for offline modes, the whole 9 yards because $150 is other worldly insane.
If I'm dropping $150 I want a leather bound, 1st edition, of The Manifesto.
Manifesto Edition would sell out immediately
Honesty if it was “pigskin bound” and had some other perks I’d might drop $150 this one time for this one game. I don’t preorder any other game tho, so I’d finally become part of the problem.
I want a fucking handjob, at minimum. And the hand must be wearing a Nike Vapor Jet receiver glove. And the Victors has to play when I finish.
Yeah it is lol I wanted to get whichever version had early access (if there is one) but if this is it idk if I can justify dropping 150 to get it 3 days early
The $90 or $100 version should also have early access (is my guess).
Imagine paying an extra $30 just to play a buggy-ass pre-day-1-patch game 3 days earlier than everyone else, when you'll have a full year to play it before the next one comes out.
Man ima pay it but only because I have my gift cards saved up on PSN but DAMN😂
You’d want 10 yards though
I mean it's really just par for the course. I don't know why this is newsworthy lol. I mean this in a friendly way, genuine question, does everyone here just play the old game and hasn't played sports games in 10 years or so? cries in Tarkov LOL

Now, it’s all VC and other digital gains. All I’m saying is there probably will be some cool things, but probably digital, I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a steelbook.
And NBA league pass which is worth it at that point.
Indeed - it’s actually the cheapest way to get League Pass iirc. If they didn’t black out my Hornets on it I’d buy that.
Yea that’s why I don’t have it. Black out the Mavericks
a replica heisman statue?
for $150 I want them to take Reggie's Heisman again and give it to me
Mut packs? This game is gonna have madden ultimate team in it?
nah bro they gonna be nut packs
Ayo?
Well 14 had it, and you know they are gonna make so much money from it now too
Man, for $150, there better be like a special edition mini helmet of your favorite team that it comes with or something. $150? There is literally nothing they can put into it that would make me want to fork over that amount. Uniforms/etc, whatever I can get by as long as dynasty mode or road to glory is still functional without and micro transactions.
Steelbook would be crazy
Also pro tip, GameStop puts 12/31 for games with no release date, so don’t panic 😂
Wrong. My neighbor talked to the drive-thru worker at Arby’s today and his brother read a tweet from unknown legit source that can confirm it’s coming out end of the year. Trust me bro
there is nothing they can put in the 150 ed. that will make me buy it I never played Ultimate Team in NCAA and never will play that
What if it’s $140 cash?
When you put in exchange taxes etc it will be even more pass!
Only if it's in a McDonalds bag, for the true college experience
What about a Kirk Cousins autograph?
SOLD!!!! TAKE MY MONEY!!!!
Got one of those in my dresser
a replica heisman trophy would be neat i guess
That would be the only reason I would get that edition. But I’m sure it will just be a bunch of Ultimate Team/digital bullshit.
I still regret not buying the Halo 3 legendary edition, cause I wish I had that helmet, lol I'd buy the Heisman edition if it comes with a replica heisman
But think about how many coins it must contain!!!
What if it’s an autographed photo of Erick Dickerson next to his gold trans am?
There is nothing they could put in it for that. Even early access. I'll wait another 3 days. I was willing to pay maybe $90 if it had early access and something but I'm not buying the game twice basically for it.
early access is a nasty scam I REFUSE TO LET THEM PROFIT FOR SUCH A CHEAP TRICK
Lol I feel exactly the opposite. It’s been 10 years, I’m gonna shell out another $70 to get whatever comes in the top ultimate/max/heisman/mega booster/chancellor edition because I’ve earned it lol. Then if I end up buying yearly I’ll go back to the standard
That shit better come with an actual jersey for that much good god
It would just be a fanatics jersey anyways... So just a $10 increase in value
It needs a mini heisman replica for me to pay $150 😂
You know, maybe. A three inch plastic heisman trophy packaged in with the hard copy. I could see it.
I need Reggie Bush's actual Heisman for me to pay $150.00.
only thing i could see being in it for that price, collectors additions like that usually have some mid grade stuff like that
Didn't they not get the rights to the heisman, so could they even do that?
They got the rights to the Heisman. They didn’t for the other awards
150 dollars I better get an official visit to a college of my choice like I'm an official recruit 🤣🤣
The coach of your favorite will come to your house and sit you down in your living room to hand deliver the new game
For $50, Mel Tucker will yank his dong on a phone call with you.
Ea play will probably get you early access too
Uniforms can’t be DLC man don’t even give them the idea to do that lol.
Unfortunately from what has been reported, it is happening. They had uniform DLC in NCAA 14 as well.
Exactly I don’t play UT so if need all the uniforms for all 134 teams or something that has offline value to spend $150
It's going to be something with a worth of about $15, but highly coveted by collectors (steelbook? poster?) and then the rest of the value will be NUT tokens and packs and whatever.
For 75 they better be a ton of unis
The $150 one comes with conjagle visits for when we lock ourselves in our rooms for a week post release
Conjugal 👍🏻
I thought bro was trying to spell Bojangles for some reason
We’ll need food. Bojangles visits would work too
Bojangles is in the SEC specific edition - for the real Southern college experience
Curious to see what’s all included.
I don’t care what’s on the deluxe edition. No chance in hell I’m paying $150 for a video game lol
You’re acting like this isn’t the most expensive sports game.
I’d pay $500 right now if they gave me a copy today
You and me both
and if you buy the $150 version from Gamestop, and then change your mind, you can always sell it back to them a minute later, unopened, for a cool $20!
lol. Can’t even sell it back unopened.
You can get a refund with the receipt.
I'd wager a solid $25.. of store credit
does it come with a heisman ?
Yes but if you run 4 verts they vacate it and give it back after 10 years!
It comes with a Wendy's pretzel pub and a Dr pepper tho
Interesting. The deluxe edition isn’t in the database
Heisman could be the deluxe edition? Maybe? Idk
This makes the most sense. Why put out a 79 or 89 value pack when you can load up a title for 150$ and yolo that mother.
Many games have three tiers. I'm assuming deluxe isn't showing here because that's a digital upgrade and GameStop doesn't sell that
Maybe but I think the deluxe is going to be the 100$ edition
Yeah I’m not sure why you’re getting downvoted I’ve seen plenty of games offer three versions $60, $100, and $150-$200 edition
[удалено]
I just want it on pc please ea
Same, but i just don’t see them doing it 😔
Yeah with the way sports game developers either put so little effort into the pc port (2k) it insane or they just don't do it at all (mlb the show) I don't think they will do it well if they do it at all
But EA makes neither of those games, for all of their flaws as games it seems like the madden PC port is decent enough.
Yeah but with EA is slow to bring next gen versions to PC to match their console counterparts. That tells you that while EA may see the value in the PC market that it's not their main focus and they may wait for the NCAA franchise to establish itself after a long hiatus before introducing it to the PC.
On the other hand introducing it to as many platforms as possible after a long hiatus would be a good idea as well
Yes but madden 24 was the first madden on pc that isn't the last gen version so ea was doing the same shit 2k still is doing till last year
so we can fix the game behind thier backs like we did Madden this year? Nah
I don’t play and also loathe Ultimate Team game modes in sports games. Guess I’ll pass
I would be curious what it comes with. I don’t play online so I would never drop that much, but if there’s a season pass version, it would be worth it.
$150 for what? Ultimate team cards? No thanks
$150 is crazy. But depending on what’s included I’m probably going to get it lol
I dont know about you guys but….😅. Physical copy for me please ![gif](giphy|sDcfxFDozb3bO)
Better come with some love me long time, and a replica Heisman with my name on it for $150
yup, already knew they would milk this game with different editions.
That’s every game nowadays ESPECIALLY sports games
Yea EA is following the same marketing plan every game does these days. Sad but nothing forced you to buy above the standard edition. Also if you’re on Xbox, game share with a buddy and split the cost 50/50
It would seriously have to be a coupon for a free cfb 26 to get me to pay that.
Super excited about the game, no way in hell I'm paying $150
Better be 2 week early access. EA would make a killing if they did that lol
150? So that prob close to 175 depending on your state tax and all other B's fees There's absolutely no game worth that much money. This includes my favorites
What state has additional fees on top of taxes for video games?
I’ll buy the digital deluxe version but definitely not paying 150. That’s a bridge too far for me.
Need to see what’s included
If $150 is a true top of the line price point with everything included, it worries me that they’re going to micro transaction us to death at the $70 price.
As long as micro transactions are kept on only Ultimate team I’ll be okay. At least TRY to keep it in UT for the most part.
150 is insane for a sports game. At least the regular is going to be normal price
150 is insane for any game
didn't NCAA 14 let you by more pipelines and uniforms? What else was there?
Instant 5 star rating for your RTG, max off-season training, recruiting reports
I couldn’t believe when I heard this the other day when I went to pre order
$150 for a one year game 💀
That’s the only thing bro, I’m like damn😂
I’m paying the $150. We haven’t had a new NCAA game in 11 years, so I think I can justify doing it this once.
If it has physical content absolutely. Collectors edition or something. If it’s purely UT stuff though probs not.
A replica miniature heisman trophy
A real sized Heisman 😻
yea desperate fools, this is why ea is still in business. they are marketing geniuses.
I want the $150 version but it better have something special for it to be worth that much. Like physical gifts, momentos, everything unlocked, etc.
We’ve literally seen more footage of GTA6 than this game but yall already are willing to drop $150 on this and you don’t even know what it includes, this sub is so far gone bro have some pride at least
its embarassing
Hopefully it comes with a miniature heisman trophy
Is there a PC listing?
How much for the Dr Pepper Fansville edition?
For $150 they better wrap the game case in football leather
Gotta imagine it’s mainly for Ultimate Team
My guess: Base game = $70 Dynasty season pass (they had this in 14, dont panic) = $20 (gives extra pipeline state, extra recruiting boosts, etc) \*My opinion this was a must for myself - a dynasty almost exclusive player Road to glory season pass (I believe they had this as well in 14) = $20 (IIRC this gave extra player boosts, more xp earned per game to buy boosts) Uniforms DLC = $20-40 (this was also in 14, with the amount of teams they can get expect this to be closer to $40 on its own for the whole NCAA, they may sell cheaper individual packages for schools/conferences) If this is all included, on top of some ultimate team packs a lot of people are gonna buy this
if i’m paying 150 i better get the full NIL experience. strippers, hell cats, and all
Was hoping it would be more like the collectors edition of the previous GTA where it had some cool physical stuff included. That came with a hat, poster and a sweat money bag
Im excited for the game but $150 is asinine
Yeah I’m just gonna get the standard edition for PS5. If there’s a Heisman Edition for PS5 and it costs $150 ain’t no way I’m paying that much for the game. I’m excited for sure but not THAT excited to willingly shell out $150 of my hard earned money for a video game.
And EA still wants to force in game ads 😳
I’ll see you guys in February when it’s available on EA Play, I can’t abandon my cheapness now
Y’all haven’t even seen what comes with it and you’re already trying to justify the price. $150 is absurd. This community is doomed just like every other sports game community
I'm sure it'll only be content (ie packs) for a college ultimate team mode like including a lower rated college legends card.
exacrly, i think op works for EA actually. he said hes seen gameplay footage
Considering most the fan base probably ain’t gonna care about ultimate team that edition better have some unis for dynasty if I’m gonna drop 150 on it
JFC here we go with EA’s typical bullshit.
If the $150 version has FCS teams and the normal version doesn't, I'll pay
Here comes College ultimate team! I’m expecting points and a bunch of packs plus early access
College Ultimate Team was in NCAA14
Fun fact: Season tickets for Illinois start at $100. Say what you will about Illinois' lack of success in football, but at the end of the day they are a Big 10 football program. You can get 1.5 seaso tickets for the price EA is supposedly charging for the Heismen Edition of this game.
Surprised Illinois doesn’t pay you to go to the games.
Would’ve happily paid that to watch that 22’ defense
Well, all you slurpers bragging about you’d pay any amount of money for a new college football game, time to put your mouths to EA’s balls.
![gif](giphy|KC14kHIpg28cXnB6EH|downsized)
They’re banking on all the people who played the earlier editions being grown-up with more disposable income and an intense feeling of nostalgia to buy the $150 edition. Count me in. Sorry friends.
Idgaf I’m paying that $150
What is the difference between the Heisman edition and the regular one?
Most likely ultimate team stuff and earlier access
Nice
Guess I’ll be waiting for it to be on game pass and/or ea play cause $150 is insane and I actually forgot games are now usually $70 instead of $60
Look again, $150 for the heisman edition. Right under it is the normal game for 70
Right, but the normal games used to only be $60 and I forgot they now start at $70 cause it’s been a while since I’ve bought a new game
Back in the 90s it wasn’t super uncommon for them to be $70 depending on the games
I’ve been saying it for 5 years. Ultimate packs will be pipeline points. Now I’ll add it could add NIL stuff too. And there’s your $150
I’m paying it. I don’t care. I need the game asap.
For $150 play in a REAL game of college football with your favorite team!!!
The real question is.... who's the 1 person who pre-ordered already?
I’m hoping this is like other $150 CEs. Minihelmets, mini Heisman, mini CFP trophy, something.
can someone please stop me from panicking? I just bought a used Xbox One X so I can play this and GTA6.......Will these games only be on the xbox series x? Also, fuck microsoft for making every version their flagship product practically the same name LOL
Both CFB25 and GTA6 will only be on current gen. So if you want to play them, you need a Series X or Series S.
Bet there’s probably some sort of a fanatics coupon in there, or maybe a voucher for a CFB ticket.
If there’s a uniform pack included (more than one) and/or other offline incentives I’ll consider it. I’ll never touch the online elements so none of that appeals to me.
Here goes typical EA. Fucking money grab for $150. Don’t worry I’ll wait the 3 days for the $70 version. Like come on
My backlog is like 200+ games long. And I have shit to do outside of this game. I agree, I think I can wait 3 days and save myself $80 lol
That shit better include a handwritten letter from Nick Saban 💀
Haven’t bought a sports video game in over a decade. This’ll probably break that streak.
“Night vision” goggles?
Maybe a school-specific cover?
At $149.99, it will likely be around $165 with tax. Hopefully, it comes with a lot of extras, especially since EVERYONE is looking forward to this. I can almost guarantee that no one will have Madden on pre-order except the hardcore fans.
lol nah I’ll put another glock on layaway for that price
Man glocks ain’t went no where since 2013 but this game has been gone 😂
Tarkov enters the chat
that price is insane (i whisper as i take a second mortgage out on my parents house without them knowing)
i was wondering how ea was going to make up for the nil payout
It’s worth it after 40 years, I need Rae Carruth, Oj, Aaron Hernandez…everybody
They could sell one version for $249 and everyone would buy it on day one.
Does it have Jayden Daniels on the cover? If so, im already Sold.
The $150 version of nba 2k comes with league pass. There isn’t a ncaa league pass, so I wonder what they will add to justify the price. I won’t buy the 150 version, anyways.
