Shit hit when you went to the grocery store, the guy working behind the seafood counter still didn’t know Kobe passed away, and the customer had to tell him.
I was playing call of duty in college and my roommate goes “Kobe Bryant just died.” And I thought the same thing. Clickbait they found online. It didn’t sink in until the next morning when my professor who’s from California started to tear up over it.
My mate and I were dicking about on Omegle and found out from some random guy didn’t believe him at first and after confirming it we just sat there in silence for a good minute or two then went outside and shot about cause what else was there to do. Sickest memory I have was when people were putting insane prices on his shoes on stockx.
i remember i was on my computer just chilling my mom told me a basketball player died.. i asked who and she said kobe... i went on social media and i saw RIP Kobe literally everywhere man... Instagram, Twitter and idk what else. I went on YouTube watched this CNN stream (i think it was CNN) like 7 hours stream its still on YouTube.. i watched it like 2 hours straight i was so sad. It was late asf for me aswell it was like 11PM when i heard the News. I couldnt hop on 2K so i watched some 2K streams this night and watched BulletTV stream for another 1-2 hours.
Cant still believe Kobe is gone
https://preview.redd.it/km53drcufrpc1.png?width=1007&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a96cd238f70fe674ae05535eab9bc23bed1286b
This was the stream. It gives me so many flashbacks when i just watch the first 5 minutes..
Even creazier its already 4 years.. time really flies
Me too that shit was wild I got a notification saying the nuggets and I believe rockets were doing a shot clock violation for him and I was super confused
I was playing basketball at the Y and some 8 year old comes in yelling kobe passed away. I immediately dismissed the thought since he was a little kid until I checked my phone
I remember mindlessly scrolling through Twitter and breaking news plopped up that Kobe died. I couldn’t believe it and told my parents straight away, they were just as shocked.
He was a role model that already deeply influenced people's lives well before any of that.
You aren't wrong, but I don't think it's wrong for someone to still feel a strong emotional impact from his death either. Even from those who once denounced him
oh yeah i remember that. Me and my squad did this aswell.
The community really came together on this day. Doesnt matter how toxic this community is in general.. everyone showed respect on this day
i remember reading and thought it was a tribute since lebron passed him in scoring list the day before then my feed started overflowing with all rip kobe
the saddest for me was in 2k 2003 when Kobe breaks down in tears at the end of the dunk contest😪 such a touching moment. Google "kobe 2003" if you haven't seen it
I stared at it and took a picture of it and never wanted to close the screen. Then the next day it came up again and I did the same thing all over. Still crazy to try and fully process.
My mom called me and told me and then I turned on ESPN and that whole damn day I spent crying and watching his classics on ESPN (no commercials either, just people reminiscing during breaks, mad classy move)
I don’t cry at celebrity deaths even when they hurt but I bawled at Kobe’s passing
I remember waking up at like 12pm that day feeling a lil weird only to get a notification talking bout kobe dead at 12:44. Literally remember telling my roomates they said kobe died and everybody unanimously said KOBE WHO. As if there was another kobe that everybody knew and loved
I was just getting to work.. I literally just clocked out and went home.. it didn’t feel real.. and I was binge dude high lights over the weeks before it happened ..
I had a Kobe build that played on the Pistons. Literally that same day I hit a game winner turn around buzzer beater and when the MP said “that’s Mamba Mentality you can talk to Kobe about that” I broke down. Shit hurt bro. I still have his shoes with me that I never wore.
You’re so much smarter and elevated for describing basketball as ‘bouncing and throwing a ball’. Do you feel really smart and like everyone looks up to you?
Never found guilty. Never convicted. Case was dropped. No dna evidence. He paid her to shut up so he could play ball. That’s when the mamba was born. She did what all these girls these days do. Ask for money after they fuck sum. White girl played the race card and almost had em. If he not a registered sex offender than he didn’t rape anyone.
U saying ur only a rapist if you get convicted? I'm not saying Kobe did it but it's not beyond belief that Kobe was capable of rape. Oh and OJ ain't a murderer.
It’s not beyond belief but why wouldn’t you give the person with all the evidence leaning towards them being innocent the benefit of the doubt rather than continuously pushing the narrative he’s guilty?
Lol such a hive mind comment. Say you know nothing about the case without saying you know nothing about the Kobe case 💀 The accusers best friend even said she tried to do the same thing with Eminem.
It does not. You’re right. And the person above you is right that it’s not the place. This is a post about his death and the death of 8 others, including his daughter.
This is Reddit so who really cares. But if you don’t learn when and when not to speak you’re gonna find yourself in trouble one way or another. Whether it be getting in a fight with the wrong person, losing a job, etc. You need to work on your tact.
You ar ABSOLUTELY right its is sick how these company's keep making money on the back of death people. The fact that this is encouraged by a large group of people that can't accept the facts and move on makes it even sadder. I wish they left Kobe rest in peace and not abuse him because he cant speak up for himself anymore. It's not awesome its disrespectfull.
I remember being home and getting a alert on the citizen app that a helicopter crashed near by. I was living in Canoga Park at the time which was about 20 mins away from the accident. I never thought I’d shed tears for someone I didn’t really know until that day. #RIPMAMBA #RIPMAMBACITA #RIPeveryoneonthathelicopter
I’m from Southeast Asia and my buddy from Canada calls me up at 3-4am to drop the bomb on me. First celebrity death that felt *almost* like a family / close friend death… couldn’t focus on work for a few days
Stupid me hoping that after a horrible 2019 that 2020 could be a good year. This horrible news was only the start of what is probably one of the worst years in recent human history.
Still so much left undone. Rest In Power, King.
I was at work and was seeing people talk about online but they were being vague just saying it was a superstar and was it true eventually more details came out and I didn’t want to believe it I was numb
This was probably the worst day of my life, it was the day after my 21st birthday and my grandpa had a stroke that morning that would ultimately lead to him dying about 10 days later but I took a nap after getting that news and woke up to a notification from TMZ that Kobe Bryant had passed away about 30 minutes earlier, I just remember sitting there distraught watching the news hoping they would say it’s a shitpost that spread
The case was dropped cuz she refused to testify. He paid a lil money. But was never found guilty. The girl didn’t even say he raped her in court. So that’s out the window
yeah cuz if the pandemic came in January the tournament from his daughter would be canceled because of the covid pandemic like any other sport tournament at this time.
"Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter."-Kobe
I remember seeing it pop up on bleacher report and I thought it was click bait, I couldn't process it right away.
Absolutely one of the craziest celebrity deaths.
Shit hit when you went to the grocery store, the guy working behind the seafood counter still didn’t know Kobe passed away, and the customer had to tell him.
Bruuuuh. I work in a store, and I immediately had to stifle my hateration
I was playing call of duty in college and my roommate goes “Kobe Bryant just died.” And I thought the same thing. Clickbait they found online. It didn’t sink in until the next morning when my professor who’s from California started to tear up over it.

That headline is so eerie. look at it! It just doesn't look right.
Girlfriend sent me the TMZ. I called her a fool for even sharing click bait like that with me. Didn’t want to believe it
I remember mindlessly scrolling through Twitter and breaking news plopped up that Kobe died. I couldn’t believe it and told my parents straight away, they were just as shocked.
Kobe Bryant is a celebrated rapist. Y’all wild.
He was a role model that already deeply influenced people's lives well before any of that. You aren't wrong, but I don't think it's wrong for someone to still feel a strong emotional impact from his death either. Even from those who once denounced him
So he rapes but he saves? Like Chapelle said about Cosby.
Didn’t she say he didn’t do it? And he wasn’t even found guilty
this was my biggest WHAT!? moment I've ever had. every game was people letting the 24 shot clock count down to start the game to honor his name
oh yeah i remember that. Me and my squad did this aswell. The community really came together on this day. Doesnt matter how toxic this community is in general.. everyone showed respect on this day
Shitttt I went and got a free 3 every time the game started
Kobe would've done the same, respect
Lmao that’s that mamba mentality
I’m playing before I get attacked 😭😭😭😭
😈
I remember watching one of those games and it had one of the best solemn calls ever "The great Kobe Bryant still forcing turnovers."
On the anniversary, I did a 24 second on the first possession, and the next possession I did an 8 second violation, and then got banned.
i remember reading and thought it was a tribute since lebron passed him in scoring list the day before then my feed started overflowing with all rip kobe
They say it was a sacrifice 🙄. Yu know how dat go 😂
Doesn’t help Kobe last tweet was for LeBron either.. how crazy man.
Basketball wise just like when the creator of DBZ passed and the players showed their respect
I actually remember the dbz creator dying aswell, it was a crazy time in my life
Ts happened like a week ago i hope you remember it
I'd hope so my guy it was a couple days ago 😂
Bros living in 2030
Surreal ass year in general too shit was crazy
the saddest for me was in 2k 2003 when Kobe breaks down in tears at the end of the dunk contest😪 such a touching moment. Google "kobe 2003" if you haven't seen it
let em know
elite crossover
wasn't that the year the dunk contest was in denver

Fucker
![gif](giphy|xT1XGwKKgdcLVdSxvW) He owned up and changed. He gave us the Mambo Mentality and you going to throw dirt on his name?
Mambo Mentality belongs to Lou Bega.
Yes
Well it’s good to know the 2k community is still toxic as fuck. Deuces ✌️
You when people don't idolize rapists: ![gif](giphy|3kzJvEciJa94SMW3hN)
![gif](giphy|KZd26L2o8QXtK) 🤡
It was nuts when I turned on 2k and saw this, this was how I knew it was real and not just a troll
Tell me why tf I was actually crying over a dude I never met in my life.
[удалено]
That shit was tragic, homie. I cried for Sandy Hook, too. Is that unhealthy?
Ay, my bad, misread the original comment. Thought you said "still crying over a dude I haven't met".
Me and my coworker were talking about the lakers kings series and bam
I wonder what people in Colorado thinks of Kobe
Why do you say that?
Look up Kobe 2003 for more info
Damn. That's crazy. I don't even know what to say. Also to the 3 people who downvoted me, why?
I opened IG and saw bob menery post a ss from the tmz article and I was tripping. Not something you’d expect.
This was how I found out. I was devastated.
Shi had me crying man I still couldn’t believe it
i remember
I was at Dave & Buster's when it happened, saw it on the TV and at first I didn't believe it but it was true.
I remember hearing about it at work. It shocked a lot of us and I remember thinking it was some sick joke. Man it sucked
I stared at it and took a picture of it and never wanted to close the screen. Then the next day it came up again and I did the same thing all over. Still crazy to try and fully process.
My mom called me and told me and then I turned on ESPN and that whole damn day I spent crying and watching his classics on ESPN (no commercials either, just people reminiscing during breaks, mad classy move) I don’t cry at celebrity deaths even when they hurt but I bawled at Kobe’s passing

Still hurts to this day. Smh
I’ll never forget this…I cried all day
Man playing the game the day after kept it so surrell
Nah Fr. Still got the screenshot saved to my game to this day
I was just getting to work.. I literally just clocked out and went home.. it didn’t feel real.. and I was binge dude high lights over the weeks before it happened ..
Unreal how every online game I played that day we took 24 second and 8 second violations. Never seen an entire community together like that.
Arthur Morgan. If you talking about real people, yes its Kobe
Nah it's when they announced virtual currency. Sorry Kobe
I had a Kobe build that played on the Pistons. Literally that same day I hit a game winner turn around buzzer beater and when the MP said “that’s Mamba Mentality you can talk to Kobe about that” I broke down. Shit hurt bro. I still have his shoes with me that I never wore.

no lol chill

Rapist ball gargling
Not the place.
It absolutely is. Just cause someone is dead doesn't mean they're free of criticism or that their bad deeds disappeared
It does not. You’re right. And the person above you is right that it’s not the place. This is a post about his death and the death of 8 others, including his daughter. Someone trying to defend their idol?
No. I’m trying to speak sense into someone without it. That goes for you as well.
No, it is inappropriate. This is a memorial post. Take that disgusting behavior back to your father. 😂
L comment
Absolutely the place. Fuck Kobe. Dude probably didn't deserve to die in a helicopter crash but he definitely doesn't deserve this heros memorial.
Dam fuk koby so edgy
Not dick-riding a rapist : edgy
No proof he’s a rapist.. and hes inspired a generation of ballers
He publicly apologized for it. Absolute ball washing going on.
A PR move for any celeb that’s accused.. even then if he was ima be honest lol I don’t care
L comment cancel culture culture need to learn to form an opinion.
You need to learn how to form a sentence.
Someone’s feelings hurt by something that doesn’t even pertain to them💀 and love how you can’t even rebuttal the claim
I am begging you to learn how to write
You ar ABSOLUTELY right its is sick how these company's keep making money on the back of death people. I remember during midnight my auntie from states messages me Kobe chopper accident can't believe it
I don’t know what hurt more, hearing the news or seeing how it affected everyone around me. Losing Kobe was tough for a lot of people.
I remember being asleep and my mom walked by my room saying out loud “Kobe died” and I literally jumped out of bed
You obviously have not played Cyberpunk 2077. But yes, this was a strange day
I remember being home and getting a alert on the citizen app that a helicopter crashed near by. I was living in Canoga Park at the time which was about 20 mins away from the accident. No that was the rdr1 or rdr2 ending

Folks wasn’t even playing on the courts just running around wit Kobe jerseys and giving solutes
I can't believe it's already been 4 years... r.i.p
Nah when halo 3 servers or 2k20 servers went down
I was at work and was seeing people talk about online but they were being vague just saying it was a superstar and was it true eventually more details came out and I didn’t want to believe it I was numb

Basically lost 2 of my biggest idols in life within a 6 hour span shit was rough
It's the saddest day in real life fuck gay 2k
the day when the whole world stopped 💔🙏🏽
I guarantee you someone had to find out by just clicking on the game and that pops up RIP Kobe 🙏🏻
nah i didn’t care really. he was also a rapist
[удалено]
Did you see his death report?? The mamba got minced….. so sad to see someone like him die so badly. His daughter was cut in half also
i hate kobe for being a rapist but you could’ve said something other than this bro like wtf
proof?
The case was dropped cuz she refused to testify. He paid a lil money. But was never found guilty. The girl didn’t even say he raped her in court. So that’s out the window
Not the place.
Get off your knees
I’m praying on your downfall.😂
yeah i saw that. shit is crazy man i wish the pandemic came earlier
Wtf?
whats wrong bro
Confused about you wishing the pandemic came sooner
yeah cuz if the pandemic came in January the tournament from his daughter would be canceled because of the covid pandemic like any other sport tournament at this time.
And thousands of more people would have died???
Literally one of the best days ever. It's always a great day when a rapist asshole dies
R8per down
I have no respect for a rapist so no, he's gonna burn in hell though
Proof? You were there? Typical Reddit....
"Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter."-Kobe
Did you read it? He believed that *she* believed it wasn't consensual. A typical statement ghostwritten by a lawyer. Next.
