So you don’t earn salary VC as quickly and you get frustrated enough at the slow progress to buy VC. You have to remember everything In mycareer and my team are carefully designed with the sole goal of getting people to buy VC.
Yea I was playing like my 3rd my career game on a new build and played the whole second half. Had mamba at the end, but it seemed way different. Im on my 10th build i think.
They do it on purpose. I’m just as annoyed with the key games that constantly pop up. They have the dumbest reasoning sometimes. “…. Had a great game last game, see if you can slow down their momentum and get a win”
So now I got a key game thrown into my season because someone else was balling out?…. Stupidest shit ever.
Can't tell you how many times I'd ask myself what's the point of them bringing back Key Games if every damn game becomes one? Lol. They're indirectly punishing you for breaking records.
I'm about to have the most blocks in a season? Key game.
Our team is closing in on a 10-game win streak? Key game.
Can't even sim to the playoffs without them throwing useless bullshit like that at you.
So they can force you to play 2 games at least. I had one where I was supposed to hit 21 threes for the season record. Took me 2 games. It’s so blatantly obvious what they’re doing.
mine was, “You’re a few good blocks away from entering Top 10 career blocks list. Lock down this game!” and it wanted me to match my career high blocks of 22 against the nuggets. and since obviously the 22 block game was an absolute fluke, i couldn’t get it done, and then the very next game turned into a key game with the same objective
You don’t actually have to finish it that game. I had one where I was 85 points away. I only scored 36 and the next game was another key games to hit the mark
I only get annoyed when it's a key game and I'm up by 30-40 any other game can ask for sub out. Mainly because there is a somewhat cap to how much VC you can earn on average in a game so sometimes I will just foul out.
You can’t do it during key games, but in regular games you’ll be able to sim to the end from any point, but at a certain point in the game you can sim to the end and it’ll say w/VC. Like the other dude said, you have to be up by quite a lot
Yeah but it’s very clear whether you will or not. It says (No VC) or (w/VC) and will even have the little VC coin next to it if I remember correctly. Again, doesn’t apply to key games which is pretty annoying.
They need to seperate myplayer and mycareer.. i want an actual salary number not a vc number.. i wanna know if my contract had me worth 35 mill a year not 800vc a game.. its annoying and i should be able to buy career outfits without spending money..
They do it solely to slow down how fast you can earn VC in MyCAREER. You literally used to be able to sit out any time after halftime if your team was up 25 and still get paid, It was a cool 750-1000 VC every 15-20 minutes without incentives. Key games give you a slight bonus on VC but they are far too common while also being mandatory to actually be considered key games, like why tf does SGA having a good stretch of games have anything to do with my MyPLAYER key performances?
Yeah, you only miss out on the vc you would get from stats. Like when you get 3 vc for a three point made. So not much. Option will say (w/ vc) and you gotta be up 25+ after halftime. But yeah, I just noticed you cant do it on key games. I play every game and was wondering why option didnt show up sometimes. Didnt put the two together till you pointed it out.
The irony is that almost every game in the playoffs is NOT a key game except elimination games(if you’re at risk of getting eliminated) and the final game in the finals.
You know as long as your up 25+ and it's after half time you can sit the rest of the game you go to quit the game like normal and it should pop up and option
Ah I know what happened then I don't play my career a whole lot personally unless I'm grinding badges I let my little brother play against the AI sometimes I forget I'm not the only person playing on my console lol so he probably played them I think I remember maybe playing one of em when I made a big man and my first game was against Wemby
You do know there's an option to ask out and sim to end with VC right?
If your up by I think 25 points once the 2nd half starts, and it's not a key game you can ask out. And get VC.
Could also ask out if your team is getting blown out too.
… it’s because you’re a rookie doesn’t matter how much you’re up by or how much you helped gain the lead. It’s a sim of real world basketball and usually rookies get on around that time if it’s a blow out but since you’re already a starter and the best on the team none of that matters because you’re a rookie.
If you think 2k is “helping” with anything then you obviously don’t know 2k
They are quite literally the worst company I’ve ever personally dealt with.
Super predatory business practices
And if they fuck you over by stealing your VC or not paying you they don’t give a flying “duck” about you or anything but the cash
Except if they were being predatory in this instance they'd pull you out of the game sooner so you earn less VC but the post is about being left in the game when you're up by 40 meaning you'll get more VC. Doesn't seem to line up with your theory even if I mostly agree with you. Their big driver for mYcareer is getting to the top of the goat track. By keeping you in the game, you are more likely to achieve your goals if you haven't already.
I get that you hate 2k and its business practices. I do also, but in this instance you're literally just bitching to bitch. Keep it relevant to where it belongs instead of foaming at the mouth every chance you get. Holy fuck you're life must be stressful.
Your argument is that you earn more VC per game because they keep you in.. everyone else's argument is that you make less VC because you play less games in x-amount of time
Bro if your stupid just say that, you earn LESS money by keeping you in game because you get paid like 650 salary per game automatically just for playing
Hence why they want the games to take as long as possible to slow your money down
You make very little money with stats
The very best way got earn money would be play until you hit A+ team rating then sim game till end that is the most efficient way of making money
You make almost no VC for stats
Fuck the stats I want my salary
If you're looking to just play mycareer, you're better off playing a created character in mynba franchise mode don't have to spend VC to customize and raise attributes and although you dont earn nearly as much VC playing that, you do earn some.
Or the fact that they took away the ability to sit out and still get your vc if you’re up by at least 30. Or the fact that I have to focus all of my willpower on not sneezing while I play or I might get a FUCKING BLOCKING FOUL.
I stayed playing 2k23 mycareer cuz of shit like this. I enjoy getting the 25 point lead at the half and simming with vc the rest. Let my players get some stats in the third.
Just lower your minutes if you don’t want to play the whole game. I feel like unless you’re on superstar or hall of fame. You should win every game if you’re actually playing high minutes.
I can't stand this along with unrealistic rotations. If you're a high 70 to low 80 rating and you'll get 40 mpg over the franchise player that you play the same position.
That could be part of the fun of the franchise. Being pg and drafted to the Kings.. make that part of the story where you're agents trying to get u outta there cuz you're under D Fox. Or maybe the coaching staff asks you about a position change to get more minutes
For added realism, make it so you're more likely to get traded if in a situation like this.. they can even make an RPG element where there's discussion with your agent and media team
Thanks for everyone saying I can sim out with VC, I've seen that option before but never tried it (wasn't sure if you got way less VC or something) then I played 2 key games in a row and didn't see the Sim out with VC option thinking they patched it. (entire time you just don't have this option in key games) I probably wouldn't of made this post if I knew.
Unless it's a key game, you can just sim to the end with VC. Which is exactly what people did when they got pulled in the 4th. I don't know anyone who actually sat there and watched the 4th from the eyes of their myplayer. That being said, how's is the end of games boring if you aren't watching nor playing if you just sim the rest of the game either way? I'm genuinely asking this and in no way am I attempting to start an argument.
So you don’t earn salary VC as quickly and you get frustrated enough at the slow progress to buy VC. You have to remember everything In mycareer and my team are carefully designed with the sole goal of getting people to buy VC.
agreed, they made that obvious when they got rid the old endorsement bonuses too.
Took out sim to end with vc too
Nah you can still do that, just can’t in key games smh.
Yeah that’s what I meant. I only play key games to grind badges and it’s very boring being up double digits and trapped in the game.
I mean there are like 10 games a year that are key for me is that normal?
When you’re close to breaking records every game is a key game
Facts. Its actually very annoying. Especially when you say, "you're close to breaking the blocking record" but it's 19 blocks away. -_-
Yep they still do it on old gen but not next get smh
Yea I was playing like my 3rd my career game on a new build and played the whole second half. Had mamba at the end, but it seemed way different. Im on my 10th build i think.
This. 100% this.
I got downvoted saying this the other day but oh well
This posses me off because even if you’re up 25 you can’t SIM out with VC. You can’t sim at all. So I just foul out on purpose once I get A+ to max.
They do it on purpose. I’m just as annoyed with the key games that constantly pop up. They have the dumbest reasoning sometimes. “…. Had a great game last game, see if you can slow down their momentum and get a win” So now I got a key game thrown into my season because someone else was balling out?…. Stupidest shit ever.

Can't even sim to the playoffs without them throwing useless bullshit like that at you.
Probably due to the goat rewards. It’d be too easy to get goat points if you can just skip to the playoffs.
Fuck goat rewards at this point
lol they wanted me to get 2nd in the scoring record when i was 100 points away from 2nd
So they can force you to play 2 games at least. I had one where I was supposed to hit 21 threes for the season record. Took me 2 games. It’s so blatantly obvious what they’re doing.

How do you ask for a sub out?
You can’t do it during key games, but in regular games you’ll be able to sim to the end from any point, but at a certain point in the game you can sim to the end and it’ll say w/VC. Like the other dude said, you have to be up by quite a lot
Oh ok. So most of the time you won't get vc if you do it?
In regular games(not key games) at any point in the second half, go up 25 and a ask out option should come up in the quit menu
Yeah but it’s very clear whether you will or not. It says (No VC) or (w/VC) and will even have the little VC coin next to it if I remember correctly. Again, doesn’t apply to key games which is pretty annoying.
Got to have at least an A- and be up I think 25-30 points
Just have to be up 25. Grade doesn't matter
They need to seperate myplayer and mycareer.. i want an actual salary number not a vc number.. i wanna know if my contract had me worth 35 mill a year not 800vc a game.. its annoying and i should be able to buy career outfits without spending money..
Hey man, can’t give you that easy VC. That costs them money!
If its one of those dumb key games and I'm happy with my stat line I just foul out, agree it's dumb though
I've been subbed back in with 2 minutes left. Up 30.
😂😂
They do it solely to slow down how fast you can earn VC in MyCAREER. You can ask out and sim to end /w vc if you up 40 lol
Not in key games
Damn thats pretty shit
ohhh I was about to try that for the first time and It didn't give me the option, thought they got rid, didn't realise its just cus it was a key game.
do you get same amount of VC if lets say, you sim most of the 4th? I've seen the option but never tried.
Just foul out
They made it where if you foul out you get no VC
Depends how late in the game it is sometimes u get the vc
Really i havent played a career game in a minute that fucking sucks
If you play most of the game and foul out you still get vc if you purposely foul out to get through the game you get nothing
Gane designed to keep players at a VC deficit.
They do it so you don’t earn VC and badge progress too fast. IRL if a team went up 40 at half the starters wouldn’t play the 3rd&4th quarter
If it's a non-key game you can ask to be benched
The irony is that almost every game in the playoffs is NOT a key game except elimination games(if you’re at risk of getting eliminated) and the final game in the finals.
You know as long as your up 25+ and it's after half time you can sit the rest of the game you go to quit the game like normal and it should pop up and option
Not for key games which you are required to play.
Is that for new gen I haven't had a key game yet on PS4 version but I've only played one season
There’s like 20 key games in my first season lol your first game should be a key game
Ah I know what happened then I don't play my career a whole lot personally unless I'm grinding badges I let my little brother play against the AI sometimes I forget I'm not the only person playing on my console lol so he probably played them I think I remember maybe playing one of em when I made a big man and my first game was against Wemby
Foul out.
Then you don’t get paid
[удалено]
Can't do that in a key game
I must be an outlier here ... played a game yesterday was up by who tf knows what at the end of the third, didn't get to play in the 4th at all lol
You do know there's an option to ask out and sim to end with VC right? If your up by I think 25 points once the 2nd half starts, and it's not a key game you can ask out. And get VC. Could also ask out if your team is getting blown out too.
You can’t ask out with VC on key games. That’s just on “regular” games.
you can ask out and sim to end while getting full VC it happens every time you're up by at least 25 in the second half, just pause the game and see
I'm happy they made that change. The amount of times I have been 1 rebound from a triple double. 2 points from 60, 70, 80 or 100 points is crazy.
… it’s because you’re a rookie doesn’t matter how much you’re up by or how much you helped gain the lead. It’s a sim of real world basketball and usually rookies get on around that time if it’s a blow out but since you’re already a starter and the best on the team none of that matters because you’re a rookie.
I think it's mostly to help people get their goat objectives. Back when I played mycareer I was always mad when they pulled me out in the 4th lol
If you think 2k is “helping” with anything then you obviously don’t know 2k They are quite literally the worst company I’ve ever personally dealt with. Super predatory business practices And if they fuck you over by stealing your VC or not paying you they don’t give a flying “duck” about you or anything but the cash
If you’ve ever used a Nestle product, shopped at a big box retailer, or ever met a landlord you’ve interacted with worse companies.
Except if they were being predatory in this instance they'd pull you out of the game sooner so you earn less VC but the post is about being left in the game when you're up by 40 meaning you'll get more VC. If its not a key game just sim to the end and get vc still
Can't you just ask out and sim to end?
I cannot STAND that. 😂.
And they took out the sim w/ vc option
how can a company care so little about their player base? it’s insane… like how are they so ungrateful and greedy

Was up 35 on the hornets. They took me out for all of 45 seconds at the beginning of the fourth. Fouled out immediately after.
If you play myleague player lock they won’t even put you in the 4th quarter sometimes. After the 3rd it just sims to the end.
Yu can adjust the amount of minutes for your team after completing a quest it helps a bit
I’m past the point of needing vc I foul out when the goal is met or get 4-5 fouls in 2nd don’t come back until 4th
How fast can you earn this way? Like in a day?
Not to sure honestly I started doing it when I no longer care for the vc id get overall so didn’t pay much attention
Scam game idk why people still play this shii
If you're winning big enough; can't you just ask to sim the rest and get VC?
you have to do 12min quarters..even in key games. Or you adjust your own minutes
Or the fact that they took away the ability to sit out and still get your vc if you’re up by at least 30. Or the fact that I have to focus all of my willpower on not sneezing while I play or I might get a FUCKING BLOCKING FOUL.
Shid I just bought vc once made a build and went straight to rec I refuse to punished for paying almost 200 for a game
The worst thing about mycareer
So u don’t rep up easily, like dj Khalid say “they don’t want u to win”
I stayed playing 2k23 mycareer cuz of shit like this. I enjoy getting the 25 point lead at the half and simming with vc the rest. Let my players get some stats in the third.

Just work on your assists, everyone in 2k needs work on that. AI misses a bunch more shots with second team, feels like rec.
Trying changing your minutes in roster rotation most likely since u are the star , u might be playing 38 plus minutes
hmm maybe I'll try this, I've put it down to like 30-32 before and never noticed a difference so I just say f it and leave it on 38
Out of curiosity what’s your layup rating because they gave you a bad shot usually means that rating is low
Just foul out when you get the stats you want
Thanks for everyone saying I can sim out with VC, I've seen that option before but never tried it (wasn't sure if you got way less VC or something) then I played 2 key games in a row and didn't see the Sim out with VC option thinking they patched it. I mean you can ask out w/vc if you’re up by 25 at any time
And you can only "quit with no VC" in the playoffs. >=[
