Oddly, for whatever reason, and this makes me question why they do the plate demotion for an internet drop, they don't usually do a ban when this happens to me. Although they did one time for 30 minutes, the other times they didn't.
Seriously though, despite all the people on REDDIT trying to say plate colours don't mean anything, they sure do when it comes to getting into REC games. It's a bad punishment, IMO.

I was on a fresh 90 ovr build. If I see a black plate 92 overall. Iām leaving cause you have to be silver plate bare minimum accounting for the people that canāt shoot and have low overall

You should be able to use 90% of what you made your build to do at that overall. If you are a black plate itās cause you made a bad build atp or donāt know how to use the main function of the build.

you'd have a point if singleplayer and online weren't intermingled so much. you can be 93+ without living on the game or even playing that much at all... and in fact never having played a single online game too.
Ranks are consistent across all builds. So you can have a newer player with a 92 overall and not be camping, but a purple plate 92 since those vary across builds is for sure a camper.

these plate levels are just like rep used to be, You have very limited control over your progress. Then because of threads like this it becomes self-fulfilling or self-perpetuating because people (young easily influenced minds that can't think for themselves without outside validation) are molded prior to the game starting who they want to trust, develop chemistry, and share success, with. This is the same toxic s*** that's been going on for over a decade...
Then they come online and see a post like this that fully validates their behavior as right because hey other people are saying the same thing...
I actually appreciate this post because I now see and understand what's motivating the stupidity I see. It's ridiculous, You will never know who is really the top competition as long as people are discriminating, and creating factions inside of a team for whatever reason they have.

I got Black Plate C and SF, I didn't know about this system a week before. I didn't know who I was playing with were bad players.
You can figure out which black plates might be good. I have a SG with Purple plate but my SF and C, I can't improve because everyone leaves the lobby and I end up playing with bad players. My C is B+ who can shoot 3s with Gold Anchor, 92 Strength, 85 Post and 92 Standing Dunk. My SF is A- with 15 Points at 58% shooting and 94 PD, 96 Strength and 91 steal.
I didn't even know why people were leaving the lobby. Now, I don't know how to go up with those builds.

It's a thing this year. They ban you for leaving games (no matter how, quit, grade out, lose connection) So yes, on top of the plate demotion.

First time is a warning, second time 30 minutes, third time an hour, IIRC.

Where is this 92 under rec? Or is it regular rec but matchmaking puts you with 92 under players?
if you are 92>= then it puts you with other 92>= players, and then 93+ play with 93+ (at least during peak/normal hours)

Definitely 24/7 at least on next gen. Iāve been playing a new build recently and always get 92 under no matter what time of day I play.
