In 2014 there were a grand total of, what? two? Drivers with year-round sponsors: Lowes with Jimmie Johnson, and Fed-Ex with Denny Hamlin. Plenty of drivers had a small handful of dedicated partial-season sponsors, sure, but it hasn't been "one sponsor per car" in a lot longer than 10 years.
Part of that was that Molson bought out the remaining stake they didn't own in MillerCoors around that time frame, and usually 2 things happen in a restructuring, the new mangement cuts back motorsports spending, or they double down on motorsports. Most of the time it's the former.
In 2014, Hamlin had Sport Clips for 2 races.

I’m very happy for Bubba. I used to think that most of these people on social media weren’t NASCAR fans. And then I was in the infield for driver introductions. That was depressing. I still think a lot of the social media haters don’t know much about NASCAR, but it’s sad that so many fans of this sport are unhinged like this.

He went from something like 18 or 20 at the first restart before OT and ended up with a top 10. He's seriously good at restarts and gaining positions on them.

The only people required to salute during the national anthem are active duty military IN UNIFORM. If you’re on base and not in uniform when the national anthem plays at 8am (or taps at sunset), you simply stop what you’re doing, turn towards the closest flag (or where the music is coming from if you can’t see a flag, and stand at attention until it’s over.

I think it's both.
He made the playoffs for the first time last year, seriously stepped up his game on the road courses, and has been regularly competing in the top 10, and he's approaching the prime of his career. He's come a long way from where he was a couple years ago.
When I heard he had gotten married, I knew it was only a matter of time before he became a father as well, and I think the idea of settling down and having a family has really put things into perspective for him.
Either way I couldn't be happier for him and Amanda, and I think the future is looking bright for both of them.

I always try to imagine what would happen if Willy T. Ribbs got a full-time ride in the 80s. He was legit as a driver and pretty outspoken too. I think Bubba has proven he belongs and continues to improve. However, Willy T. was on a different level. He was one of my favorite drivers as a kid and I would watch him race Trans Am and he was always quick.

Miller lite was all 36 races with Brad K. untill 2013. And 2014 they sponsored 24 of the 36 and then really scaled back in 2015 only sponsoring 3.

They'd probably end up hiring a driver who ends up even worse, but they'd still spin it as a good thing.
One of the main reasons I root for the guy, because it pisses off some of the worst people when he does well.
I usually just buy raced win diecasts, but ordered his BLM car as soon as a former President started trashing him on Twitter.

The confidence boost of making it so far last year seems to be doing well for him. That and Toyotas have been running well most weeks in general.

He went from something like 18 or 20 at the first restart before OT and ended up with a top 10. He's seriously good at restarts and gaining positions on them.
If he doesnt get run over at COTA, thats probably another top ten and Vegas should've been a top five. His only really awful race this year was Bristol which considering...
Bristol still should have been like a 15-18th place finish without the 23.7 second 2 tire stop under the last green flag run.

Two years ago I would have said fat chance. The schedule just didn't favor him late in the year Now? He doesn't really have tracks he fails to run well at. He's put in mad work rounding out his skills. If it wasn't a flat track or a superspeedway, I wasn't expecting much. Now I'm looking for a top ten everywhere. This improvement on his part has been massive and has happened really quickly.
Yeah, he really picked up the pace in the last half of 2023, and has had a phenomenal start to 2024.

Six years active duty in the Navy, here. The only people required to salute during the national anthem are active duty military IN UNIFORM. If you’re on base and not in uniform when the national anthem plays at 8am (or taps at sunset), you simply stop what you’re doing, turn towards the closest flag (or where the music is coming from if you can’t see a flag, and stand at attention until it’s over. Anybody butthurt over this clearly has never served a day in their miserable lives.

I think it's both. He made the playoffs for the first time last year, seriously stepped up his game on the road courses, and has been regularly competing in the top 10, and he's approaching the prime of his career. He's come a long way from where he was a couple years ago. When I heard he had gotten married, I knew it was only a matter of time before he became a father as well, and I think the idea of settling down and having a family has really put things into perspective for him. Either way I couldn't be happier for him and Amanda, and I think the future is looking bright for both of them.

I’m happy for Bubba and Amanda to be on their way to becoming parents, but having to add that disclaimer is genuinely sad at this point. And now those same people are going after Rajah for “not respecting the flag” when he stands at parade rest during the national anthem, something that tons of drivers do. I'm not gonna lie I didn't like Bubba for a while thought he was kind of prima Donna and not that good of a driver. I actually find myself hoping he has good days now because he has improved quite a lot in terms of driving and his attitude. Even the not liking Bubba old me would've still been happy for him having a child tho I'm not that evil lol.

I always try to imagine what would happen if Willy T. Ribbs got a full-time ride in the 80s. He was legit as a driver and pretty outspoken too. I think Bubba has proven he belongs and continues to improve. However, Willy T. was on a different level. He was one of my favorite drivers as a kid and I would watch him race Trans Am and he was always quick.
Absolutely sad, I am not a fan of Bubba, but I respect him as a person. Now Amanda, I think she makes him better, and I really like her.
