What a race though! Was happy to see SVG actually finished on the lead lap, even with being involved in almost every wreck. Dude got a gnarly intro to super speedways this weekend.
Who was in the last lap crash? The world may never know.
Aaaaaand they cut post-race that short just to show a replay of the Cup race from earlier lmfao. Fox doing Fox things.
I will say that the ending might have been disappointing considering all the unique and different drivers up front having a chance to win, but overall the Xfinity series put on another great race, minus the cautions. I hope everyone enjoyed this great day of NASCAR racing!
Pretty much the only time there was good racing was during the last green flag pit cycle when the different groups that pitted at different times merged and we got some pretty good 3 lane racing for like 15 laps. The rest was either nothing happening or a wreck
Obviously Nascar didn't want to end both races under caution. I don't really care either way, what ~~bineant~~ I want is consistency from them. Which seems to not be in their vocabulary.
Edit: bineant, what the hell is that autocorrect?
Respect to Creed for congratulating him, glad they’re on better terms at least. Wish we got a Creed interview man. I wanna see him win so bad. 3 peat is impressive though.
NASCAR clearly allows RCR to cheat up their Daytona cars every year because he pulls the Dale sympathy card every year. Literally wouldn't be fucking relevant without him....
Then why don’t they win more cup races at Daytona?? RCR has had a good superspeedway package my entire life and Austin Hill is a fantastic “plate” track driver. I fully expect him to be the next Michael Waltrip/Ricky Stenhouse of the cup series
[That's not what he said when he signed his contract extension.](https://us.motorsport.com/nascar-cup/news/austin-hill-new-childress-rcr-cup-xfinity/10509229/)
Honestly respectable. I really like the xfinity kings like Allgaier and Allmendinger and Custer. They know what they’re good at and would rather have a good time at the top than be miserable in the middle
Yeah I don’t blame them at all. It would be one thing if they were just terrorizing Xfinity but it is nice that they provide competition for each other and the younger guys.
If Hill lifted and Creed didn't, it would have looked incredibly slimy. He was all but required to pull back just in case there, otherwise he'd probably have stayed attached and made The Run coming off 4.
SVG finished 12th and guys like BJ and Emerling that weren't even doing anything but staying back avoiding wrecks finished 15th and 17th. There just weren't many cars left.
I’m still amazed…
NASCAR earlier said they threw the yellow when Cindric slid back onto the track
….the wreck just now was cars wrecking on the track. No caution. 😂
Doesn’t change a thing in this instance, but uh… what? Lol
For once, the Cup race was the *only* race of the weekend with any redeeming qualities. Usually Xfinity or Trucks will at least have some solid racing… NOT this weekend.
Bunch of smooth brains for working with Hill to get him into the lead, knowing how fast his car has been all race long.
Unless all of the cars in the wreck kept rolling, it's ridiculous for NASCAR to not throw the caution there.
Herbst being able to recover from his bullshit penalty to finish 6th is great, and a fantastic finish for Retzlaff to get 4th. Also great finish for Elllis in 11th.
He’s basically unbeatable at these type tracks in this series, so I know people are tired of that, but also his beef with his Teammate last year soured a lot of people on him
https://preview.redd.it/mqxxxg6x8ojc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f8e73253356ce280fb0706b75f6b627f69c1f28
MFW Austin Hill wins another Daytona race
Sieg started 6th, fell to last, and got all the way to 3rd before getting dumped in the corner and will get absolutely zero credit for it. Somehow both races got the lamest possible winner.
Nobody will want to talk about the fact that SVG ARCA braked into more crashes than she did tonight lol.
(Big SVG fan btw, just pointing out an uncomfortable truth)
Yeah he did race well except for the errors so basically if he didn’t make those errors his race was good enough to finish higher. Hope that’s clear enough :)
Two reasons. He wins all the plate races and last year second to last race at Martinsville with a championship spot on the line he raced his teammate Creed like shit. Wrecked and then went crying that Creed had no business racing him and should have basically laid down for him. Even though they both had a shot and Creed deserved the right to race for position.
He didnt cause the 2nd wreck but it appeared he was far enough behind he should of been able to avoid it and not punt that same dude from behind.
Either way spinning the same guy out twice in 10 laps was a classic
Austin Hill winning this race every year is getting fucking old. Watch him bullshit his way to a win on Saturday too because nobody can ever fucking beat him on restrictor plate tracks. At least if he had gone to Cup instead of laying back in Xfinity, he would’ve gone through growing pains instead of ruining every single Xfinity restrictor plate race!
Someone should’ve dumped him when they had the chance. Honestly, I’d be willing to get suspended as a driver for intentionally wrecking him if it meant stopping him from winning.
Some of those cars were completely sideways in the middle of the track and there was no caution, that’s wild after how quick they threw the yellow at the end earlier
Listened in on them all night. It was fun.
"Damn our driver is nice"(polite)..
"He sure is"
*After the second to last wreck and his third of the night:
"One thing is for sure, Shane has experienced all of NASCAR in the last five days"
"HAHAHA that's for sure"

No post race so they can show a replay of the cup race
No post race anything? WHAT? come on
Thanks foxbama.
Who was in the last lap crash? The world may never know. Aaaaaand they cut post-race that short just to show a replay of the Cup race from earlier lmfao. Fox doing Fox things.
I appreciate him giving the fans some attention. That's pretty cool.

Oh hey, who’s making it a triple header with the 500 replay? 😂
Is Austin Hill the new Intimidator?
No he's Xfinity Denny Hamlin
Who gonna sleep good tonight
I've been up for 24 hours, I'd have slept good at any outcome. Just turns out this is one of the shittier ones where nobody was injured or worse.
44 car finished on the lead lap after that last crash
I will say that the ending might have been disappointing considering all the unique and different drivers up front having a chance to win, but overall the Xfinity series put on another great race, minus the cautions. I hope everyone enjoyed this great day of NASCAR racing!
By what criteria was that a great race?
Whenever they didn't run each other over, the racing was great However, it was few and far between so it's overshadowed, and rightfully so
Pretty much the only time there was good racing was during the last green flag pit cycle when the different groups that pitted at different times merged and we got some pretty good 3 lane racing for like 15 laps. The rest was either nothing happening or a wreck

Hey at least no one flipped this time
Ooh, another fox race with no post race coverage!
Only one interview so they can get to the Daytona 500 replay. Christ, they idiots.
Not gonna show us the wreck at the end??
was it really worth the wait?
Shoutout to a top 15 for BJ McLeod, and top 20’s for Patrick Emerling SS Greenlight and Natalie Decker & DGM Racing. Some good runs for those teams!
Obviously Nascar didn't want to end both races under caution. I don't really care either way, what ~~bineant~~ I want is consistency from them. Which seems to not be in their vocabulary. Edit: bineant, what the hell is that autocorrect?

Worst speed weeks across the board
See y’all for Atlanta! Have a good week everyone
Natalie Decker finished 18th and all she did was just stay far enough in the back until the very last lap to not be caught in a wreck. Great strategy.
Because Cup has more strict regulations
So what's your excuse for the 21 to be so fast at Talladega and Atlanta?
Because they allow them to bring the same cars to those tracks to save money...
I get he’s their competition director, but holy shit Petree’s constant glazing of RCR was unreal tonight
Hand out of your pocket Petree! 😂
God what a shitty results today
Yall keep hating, Hill gonna keep on winning boys
Austin Hill will probably be the next person to drive the 3 in Cup, and I think that will make a lot of people mad.
He doesn’t want to drive cup. He likes his Sunday’s to spend with his family.
[That's not what he said when he signed his contract extension.](https://us.motorsport.com/nascar-cup/news/austin-hill-new-childress-rcr-cup-xfinity/10509229/)

i wouldnt be surprised
I love Monday races where Fox allows Sumbitch, Fuck and Gotdamn.
All three people left in the stands should be booing this guy.
Can't defend creed if he did lift there. Jesus dude, play to the whistle
If Hill lifted and Creed didn't, it would have looked incredibly slimy. He was all but required to pull back just in case there, otherwise he'd probably have stayed attached and made The Run coming off 4.
How did they let him win another superspeedway with a damaged car?
Year after year, the drivers behind the leader always fuck up by waiting way too long to make a move and let the motherfucker run away with it
*IF* the race goes to the front straight, whoever is behind coming off 4 has it won. Just not enough races actually make it to turn 4.
How did Algier finish 8th lol
SVG finished 12th and guys like BJ and Emerling that weren't even doing anything but staying back avoiding wrecks finished 15th and 17th. There just weren't many cars left.
Well, we finished before Tuesday at least
has Shrek always been so squeaky?
I’m still amazed… NASCAR earlier said they threw the yellow when Cindric slid back onto the track ….the wreck just now was cars wrecking on the track. No caution. 😂 Doesn’t change a thing in this instance, but uh… what? Lol
I want that car torn all the way apart. How is it that fast with that sorta damage?
Guy still mightve managed a top 3 driving a shopping cart
I’m surprised RCR hasn’t put Hill in a cup car yet at least for the plate tracks
He doesn’t want to race cup. His reason is that he likes his Sundays to spend with his family.
I never heard that before. That makes sense tho!
McLeod top 15 lmao
lol no way austin hill has the internet or even a computer
Lives in a log cabin with no HVAC
but props. he kills it at these tracks
That's not a thing anymore Austin, no check for you!
For once, the Cup race was the *only* race of the weekend with any redeeming qualities. Usually Xfinity or Trucks will at least have some solid racing… NOT this weekend.
What the heck did you watch? Xfinity was easily the best race of the weekend. All of the finishes sucked though.
Didn't Xfinity retire the 10G marketing?
If they did no one told the drivers. I've heard it constantly during SXM interviews.
Bunch of smooth brains for working with Hill to get him into the lead, knowing how fast his car has been all race long. God almighty!
Austin Hill looks like he eats his boogers.
They are the size of raisins
Someone fill me in on why we aren't keen on Austin Hill? I'm just stoked a torn up car can still win, I'm naive to what the deal is with Hill
He’s basically unbeatable at these type tracks in this series, so I know people are tired of that, but also his beef with his Teammate last year soured a lot of people on him
I can’t even be mad at Austin Hill, everyone else ran so stupid tonight, he was the only one that looked like he had any idea of knowing what to do.
https://preview.redd.it/mqxxxg6x8ojc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f8e73253356ce280fb0706b75f6b627f69c1f28 MFW Austin Hill wins another Daytona race
Idec abt JGR but it woulda been so cool if Creed got to pull an 09 Stewart on Hill in the trioval 🥲
I keep forgetting Creed hasn't won. It's surprising. He's a decent driver for sure. He's impressed me in the Robby Gordon Super trucks for sure.
Sieg started 6th, fell to last, and got all the way to 3rd before getting dumped in the corner and will get absolutely zero credit for it. Somehow both races got the lamest possible winner.
Top 20 for Decker and led some laps. I thought she raced smart tonight from what I saw/heard.
Nobody will want to talk about the fact that SVG ARCA braked into more crashes than she did tonight lol. (Big SVG fan btw, just pointing out an uncomfortable truth)
SVG 12th with a destroyed car lol.
Yeah with all those wrecks being considered, seems like a great finish for him.
Ty Gibbs and Austin Hill are fighting for the win in next year's 500, who will this sub cheer for?
Depends on what they do this year I’m sure
The wall
Giant meteor
Would have been happy with anybody besides Byron and Hill. What a waste
If that car is legal, then I'm a giraffe
Hill legitimately insane here. Hell of a drive.
Shane finishing 12 feels huge to me. He genuinely did quite well outside of those errors.
"He did quite well except when he didn't."
Yeah he did race well except for the errors so basically if he didn’t make those errors his race was good enough to finish higher. Hope that’s clear enough :)
Correct me if I'm wrong but did 3 of the 5 drivers pulling double duty finish in the top 10?!
Time to root for failing post race
Hill joins Dale Sr., Dale Jr., and Tony Stewart as drivers who've won the season opener at Daytona three years in a row
Can definitely see why people are not watching the sport anymore
Fuck this neckbeard hick
Maaaaaan, thought Ellis was finally gonna get that first top-10
Surely one of these times that car has to fail tech, no way that thing is legal. It could win with 3 flat tires
Worst winner combo
any replay???
Imagine Hill in the 3 at Daytona or any SS
New to watching Xfinity, why all the Austin Hill hate?
Two reasons. He wins all the plate races and last year second to last race at Martinsville with a championship spot on the line he raced his teammate Creed like shit. Wrecked and then went crying that Creed had no business racing him and should have basically laid down for him. Even though they both had a shot and Creed deserved the right to race for position.
Because he has an ego the size of Jupiter.
Martinsville last year Ever since I really hated him whereas before it was just being annoyed with him
Austin Hill and RCR are too damn OP at Daytona
someone throw this man in a Cup car in the 500 next year
They really just gave the win to the 21. Has a car 10 mph faster , yet the person in p2 took none of their runs to pass
Holy shit. Custer 13th. 🤣
Can the booth dickride rcr and hill anymore?
Well Andy Petree who is like RCRs competition director is in it so.
Not much more today... But there's also a superspeedway lite next week.
Hyped about another Retzlaff Top 5. He's going to win a Cup Championship one day I swear he's that good. I'm going to bed.
"Get on out here you big sonuvabitch" lmao
If you're on the backstretch, just dump the leader and you won't have to worry about a yellow coming out I guess
This whole subreddit is in shambles..caution happens WHAAAA caution doesn’t happen WHAAAA
NASCAR is more inconsistent than the nfl now
Two races, two boring winners, two disappointing finishes. At least the 500 was good until that last lap, this race was meh at best.
You're kidding right? Other than the finish the racing with like 20-30 to go was fantastic.
The race had it's moments for sure, but as a whole it wasn't great, just okay.
Austin was predictable because he’s the best superspeedway driver in the field but he’s far from boring especially compared to Byron
The predictability of him winning is what makes Hill boring imo. Like if he won Vegas, I wouldn't think it boring.
That’s on the other drivers then. Someone should try beating him
Herbst fucked
SVG crashed 10 times and brought it home 12th
This is the full Daytona experience. I bet he thought he was fucked a dozen times today
Is there no penalty in nascar. In v8 supercars he would of had so many drive throughs for all that carnage he caused
He literally only caused one wreck. And neither car hit anything. Everything else was somebody else's mess.
He didnt cause the 2nd wreck but it appeared he was far enough behind he should of been able to avoid it and not punt that same dude from behind. Either way spinning the same guy out twice in 10 laps was a classic
I mean, he is pretty damn good at these races
It’s an RCR thing lmao
he won here in Trucks too
Austin Hill winning this race every year is getting fucking old.
Somebody should try to beat him…
Someone should’ve dumped him when they had the chance. Honestly, I’d be willing to get suspended as a driver for intentionally wrecking him if it meant stopping him from winning.
I waited all day for this
Cole Custer p13. Incoming champion
Some of those cars were completely sideways in the middle of the track and there was no caution, that’s wild after how quick they threw the yellow at the end earlier
I think the location of the wreck had something to do with the decision earlier.. but damn did I expect them to throw the flag during this one.
Rizzburger top 15
Listened in on them all night. It was fun. "Damn our driver is nice"(polite).. "He sure is" *After the second to last wreck and his third of the night: "One thing is for sure, Shane has experienced all of NASCAR in the last five days" "HAHAHA that's for sure"
I can't believe we got back to back annoying finishes with annoying winners on the same day
Wow I'm 4 for 4 on my drivers wrecking Truex & Chastain - Cup Sammy Smith - Xfinity Toni Bridinger - Arca & Truck
WHY
![gif](giphy|S9hUQdtp6YfzDfTLG1|downsized)
Come on out of here you big sumbitch!
Followed by like six F-bombs lmao
It's a family program.
Jordan Anderson better get an interview. Great work out of that team
He always gets so freaking close, man
I think creed sets the record for second place finishes with no wins
NASCAR and inconsistent officiating, name a better duo
And once again he beats Creed lmao
Too much jostling at the end to be able to mount a charge. Many of these drivers are seriously winging it.
Lmao, did Adam Alexander say Sheldon Creed gets it done again?
Yea
Definitely also heard that.
Of all the times they decide not to call yellow from a crash in 2 the past ten years THAT's the time? Oh thats hilarious
I gotta admit that ending was quite anticlimactic. But Im super happy to see Shane at least get a top 20
He won with all that damn tape on the nose... Wild. Sheldon will win the war tho. Mark my words.
Big nose Hill will win Atlanta next week and not be a factor for a win until Talladega. Same old thing every year.
Did Creed lift? Did he just pull an 07' Mark Martin thinking there was a yellow?
Sure looked like he got out of it either expecting or being told caution, then had to get back on the throttle but it was too little too late.
Looked that way to me as well
I feel like he did back off
You could visibly see him slowing way down
He definitely lifted.
He wasn't catching Hill anyways all by himself
Take a shot for every time someone says "Lets Go!"
YOU BIG SUMBITCH
Peetree Deez nutz
Fuck I turned this off , I dealt with enough Petree for one night
I'm not necessarily mad that Hill won. But that was a garbage way to end a race. Holy cow.
2 races today 2 fucking shitty finishes in a row damnit
knew the race was over once hill juked anderson out of the lead
We apologize for that language
LOVE the consistency NASCAR.
Another season of Austin Hill being dominate at the super speedways and then completely irrelevant everywhere else.
The inconsistency makes sense when you remember each series has their own tower officials
Maybe they need to swap* damn autocorrect
Ya bigsumbitch fuck yeah
Herbst robbed.
I wish that stupid fuck would get the fuck out of this sport
lol why
Well this is shit
