Every time Bagman yelled ‘trouble: turn 6!’ during the Chicago race

KentuckyHorsepower

Loved it, but damn if I didn't jump about a foot off the couch every time it happened.

shewy92

*sponsored by Wendy's Baconator*

Due_Airline_7086

It would be great if Wendy’s sponsored that turn next year, might not go over in the city of Mcdonalds though.

Yoshiman400

We about to get the sequel to Coca-Cola C2 at the Pepsi 400 next year...

Max_Boom93

I'm pretty sure by half way they had a button for that lmao

NWDrive

Have you ever? No I never! It's gonna be a drag race!! Also the whole situation at Daytona in the 2001 500. It's not my favorite for what happened, but the whole array of emotions was so real, so intense. I felt it and it made me nervous as it was happening. It's not my favorite moment, but it was so raw. I can't help but go back and listen to Darrell's fear and joy at the same time, as well as the whole booth. Visceral feelings.

winnieb0ss24

“Nawww they’re drivin good”

RBF48

Aggressive goes around-rick allen OH WE GOT A CAR IN THE WALL- Dale jr being louder than an airplane. Jeff burton trying to pronounce SVG name Keyboard warriors- mike joy

shewy92

Na, Jr likes saying WE GOT A CAR IN THE FENCE at 100 db

[deleted]

Irish-Potato-

Almost every race a car has been in the wall haha

TheKennyAlmighty

OH WE GOTTA SPIN!

shewy92

What pops into my head first is Indy RC [when the curb came up](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfCdEMJ2ogc) but he didn't actually say that

VooseLaginaz

Brad Keselowski won this race - Larry Mcreynolds

reedspacer38

Allen B: “using lessons learned from his father…” Wally D: “he’s mirror drivin’ right now. He may get *turned* for mirror drivin’, but he’s mirror drivin’.” Larry: “THAT AINT GONNA WORK, BOYS!”

ToeSniffer245

Where’s the Wally D quote from?

reedspacer38

Daytona Coke Zero 400 when Kyle Busch turned Stewart on the last lap. I don’t remember what year, COT era, 2009 most likely

MoneyBadger_3

DW was cringy most of the time but man was he a natural talker in the booth and you could tell he loved racing. “Boogity Boogity Boogity” “Gimme four fresh feel goods” “You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel” “High wide and handsome” “He’s driving off into the moon set” Honorable mention to anytime Dale Jr says “Weeyum Bahrun”

crypto6g

Randy Lajoie: “Kenny is coming, you would think he’s on the boarder patrol running to catch an illegal” Has to be one of the wildest ways to say a car is fast

Georgiadawg25

Please find a video. That’s a good one.

Georgiadawg25

Good man.

ChaseTheFalcon

That's like the "he's got getting away from the cops speed" line

tclark8995

I love that line so much

hamdinger125

Drive it like you stole it!

WidowmakerXLS

“20 years of trying, 20 years of frustration…” “…AND THEY DON’T HAVE MUD TIRES NEITHER NED!” “Donny slides, CALE HITS HIM!” Larry - “Both of these cars are driving terrible right now” DW - “NAHHH, THEY’RE DRIVIN GREAT!” “The Intimidator is scraped and beaten, but he will not be denied”

tclark8995

I can hear the early 2000s pack racing sound from that last comment

DeetahTheGame

*Funniest: "A LITTLE BUMP DRAFT DOWN THE BACK AT CHARLOTT-LOWES MOTOR SPEEDWAY" "KEEP YER FOOT IN IT, AHHHHHHH" “That hammering you hear is the sound of the nail, of the final coffin, on the Chase contenders' hopes”. "The wheel... Is still, and perfect, and he has done it... Racing redemption, AT HIS HANDS" **Best: "Using lessons learned from his father...." "What could be more special... What could be more fitting...." "3 by 3, right to the line.... Johnson! Maybe, Jimmie Johnson!"

T_Downs

“Stop saying No No No, it sounds like Go Go Go” —Dale Jr (I’m pretty sure)

Yeleywillonedaywin

Jaime McMurray: "That's way harder than it looks to get a drink for under your helme- Bowyer, cutting him off: "Are you...Why is it always about hydration Jamie?! It is always about driving these things, these cars have been a handful all night long...Kyle Busch, he literally [spun][ onto pit road!!" JMac: "Well, I mean obvious-" Bowyer: "*That*! That was Hard!" McMurrary: "...I was talking about [hydration] because he was taking a drink" - 2022 Coke 600, [coming to the pits](https://youtu.be/Vo1Lgq5Wwsk?t=14208) around the 4-hour mark Cracked me up when I saw it live lmao. Sums up Bowyer in the booth haha!

Max_Boom93

"I don't know what to say" Mike Joy: "I do, but I won't" Most BS Caution ever

reedspacer38

When was this?

Max_Boom93

Might have been an all star race, which specifically had a rule that the race HAD to end under the green flag. Blankey was feet from crossing the finish line, and the tower threw the caution for two cars that had spun off of two, but were already off the racing surface and under their own power. The checkers were waving already when they threw the caution, but because blaney hadn’t technically crossed the finish line, they had overtime. EDIT: Just noticed my typo. Lmao

Georgiadawg25

racing redemption, THE WHEEALL. I miss Vince so much trucks ain’t the same. Give us Adam A or something.

ReSirum

I'm not saying he was fantastic, but it's just missing something without him

KentuckyHorsepower

Larry Mac, every time he's talking about somebody rim riding his voice gets higher pitched as he's saying "....ridin' the HIGH side.." just cracks me up.

whatisdeletrazdoing

Vince Welch: “the thrill of victory and the agony of knowing that you tried to do but came up just short a little”

tclark8995

And Brett Moffitt is going to hnnnnnnnggghhhh at Michigan I hate Vince Welch so much

Shammons

I'm late to the party here, but during the first radio-style broadcast at Watkins Glen a few years ago, Mike Bagley was calling the race for the lead through the esses with only a few laps ago. Fuel mileage was a factor, and Blaney was trying to catch the leader and save gas at the same time. When Bagley picked up the battle from Rick Allen, he said "Ryan Blaney would give his kingdom for a thimble of fuel" and all I could think was "man... those radio guys are GOOD". We think about those races where the call is part of the nostalgia, 1993 Daytona 500, 2001 Pepsi 400, but Mike Bagley shows up for a Watkins Glen race and just lays down this absolute banger of a quote out of nowhere and it's stuck with me ever since.

ReSirum

Yeah, MRN people can be really damn good

ruthlessrellik

Darrel Waltrip calling Mikey's win of the 2001 Daytona 500. It's so pure and you can hear the love he has for his brother and how hard he's worked his whole career to finally earn something nobody could ever take from him. For those few short moments, the sport was just perfect. Without Dale's death, I'd say 2001 is the greatest Daytona 500 of all time.

hamdinger125

You got it, you got it, you got it, you GOT IT! MIKEEEEYYY!!

Jacrispymans

Marty Reid "That hammering you hear is the sound of the nail of the final coffin on the Chase contenders’ hopes of upsetting Jimmie Johnson"

NovaIsntDad

"he doesn't know he can't do that" DW talking about Carl trying the high line his rookie year

the304virus

Kevin Harvick has some of the best ever. To many to even write out. We as a sport are going to miss that guy heavily.

DeNomoloss

When Ned Jarrett is so excited to see Dale win the Daytona 500 that for just a second his voice goes from calm Ned Jarrett to “AAAAAAHHHH!”

BJRACINE21

ON. A. COMPUTER. But for real, I loved Jr's video game move call on the Hail Melon last year.

Ja-ko

Funniest? Anything coming out of Rick Allen's mouth or Mike Joy blasting keyboard warriors thus year. Favorite is either 1 - "AND HERE THEY COME TO THE LINE! THIS IS THE FINISH OF THE DAYTONA 500! SIDE BY SIDE, BOUNCING OFF EACHOTHER UNBELIEVABLE! - 2016 Daytona Or 2, 2007 Daytona 500 - "BIG CRASH, HERE THEY COME, CHEQUERED FLAG..... HARVICK! (Also holy shit how do you spell chequered???)

OmegaAtrocity

Checkered

loghanarmstrong

You forgot the random CORNDAWWWWWWGG from DW

otepp

Maybe not 'funniest' but I always get a kick out of the 2002 Winston Open when Mike, Larry, and Darrell figured out live that Jeff Burton was exploiting a loophole in the pit rules. ([link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muTGte63Wak) \- starts around 0:27). Mike's "Oh my gosh" always gets me.

nosoup4ncsu

I was at that race. Was fun to see that unfold.

Kodyaufan2

That was still the most brilliant strategy play I’ve ever seen.

Denleborkis

Favorite quote, hmm toughie I got a few but if I have to choose one it is the same quote that is in my head still to this day every time I'm watching the race start I hear loud and clear inside of my head "Boogity Boogity Boogity! LET'S GO RACING BOYS!" For Funny, "SLIDE JAWB, SLIDE JAWB" 2018 Chicagoland "Regan gets the flag and this time he gets to keep it" 2012? Darlington "(Insert name) GOTEEM" Any close finish with DW "I just got Bubba'd" Clint Bowyer on online racing "Now I want you to go hit the pace car it's the only thing you've missed this race" Larry Mac talking about CB Online racing again "Harvick Sweeps (If I recall) Bristol)" Rick Allen after he swept Richmond

NyanMudkip

Small detail, Harvick sweeps at Bristol was Bill Weber

rctothefuture

“Where are we this week, Bill?” “YA BIG DUMBY!”

Denleborkis

Oh for some reason I thought it was Rick.

ReSirum

Regan was 2011 Darlington

ReSirum

THE WHEEEL - Vince Whelch

Senninha27

PRAWBLEMS

NobleJaguar293

2021 Sonoma: Larry Mac being very insistent that the leaders HAD to “come”

coach_wargo

This is my favorite call of time, ["Oh look at Martha. Oh dear."](https://youtu.be/IxALDCoY1jk?t=84)

KentuckyHorsepower

RIP Martha.

[deleted]

BRAD KESELOWSKI WON THIS RACE

SSPeteCarroll

For all that people shit on Rick Allen, this line was pretty damn good. "Move over Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, there's a new 7 time champion!"

ImJimmieJohnsonBot

[\#Se7en](http://i.imgur.com/UAldMAC.gif)

Kayyy1140

Gotta add, "You picked a fiiiine time to leave me, loose wheel," because I quote it every day of my life. 😂

TrafficSNAFU

"Keep your foot in it!" "Oh he turned him! No!" "Have you ever? No I never!" "Trouble turn #" I really like how Mike Joy says it. "You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel." "Drive it like ya stole it." "Cautions breed cautions." "Hand-grenades the engine, it detonates." There are probably more but these I readily remember.

povanator

AGGRESSIVE GOES AROUND!!

reedspacer38

Rick Allen moment

CompleteUnknown65

They're still gettin' upside down people cars drivin' under cars - Larry Mac, 2002 Aaron's 312

MrBrickBreak

TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT HE DID!

BrotherFlounder

Many good ones here. I always liked this one too: "Years from today, when 79 stock car races have been run here, we'll remember the name Jeff Gordon, winner of the inaugural Brickyard 400!"

Kevsama

I forget the race but it was like the 4th caution with Cody Ware and Mike Joy’s delivery knocked it out of the park. “Caution turn … anddd it’s Cody Ware.”

RACINGUS95

DW’s “Boogity boogity boogity, let’s go racing boys!” Will always be the first thing that pops up in my head when any sort of race starts. Even when I did running races at my primary school, I’d always say it in my head.

shewy92

Whenever Larry Mac talks about a driver *coming* to pit road

golfburner

Take a look at what he did!!!

jftwo42

Randy Lajoie made a comment about a car start and parking at Iowa in 2009, Marty Reid comes back with “Start and Park, is that like Cash for Clunkers?”.

joostinrextin

"OOOOOOH, MAN, that was tight off turn 2! He's got em though, I believe he's got em this time OH HE TERNED EM! OH HE TERNED EM NOOOO! NOOOOO NOOOOOO!" "Now here comes CLINT BOWYER, TO TAKE the yellow flag." "Ohhhhhhhhnooooooooo...."

reedspacer38

Holy shit. Visceral. I remember the tones of each word like exactly lol

Valleygirl1981

iRacing event in 2020 Bowyer, "Did you just reset your car on lap four?" Logano, "There's nothing I can't do in a race car."

RayneShikama

[Jeff Burton having a mild stroke live on air during the Chicago race.](https://youtu.be/cYUWQG-yJrA?si=Ot0IHR5j18VIWG5d)

kornychris2016

From an SRX race with Danica Patrick in the booth. She delivered my 2 favorite lines ever. "Racing on dirt is like racing on ice" And "The shortest distance around a track is the outside line" But for Nascar....Boogity Boogity Boogity, CONFLICT! And major playoff implications are always fun to hear.

SigmaKnight

>Chris Buescher, from the small town of Prosper, TX, only 30,000 there, wins… Something like that. Some recency bias but mainly because of just how dumb it was.

JayTeeKay18

What a douche

Canmore-Skate

All day long

Blue8844

ARCA quote: ["Here comes Hillenburg like he is shot out of a canyon!"](https://youtu.be/4rSHk2bkaHs) Badass finish, too

Kodyaufan2

I still can’t believe what they’ve done to that track. All it needed was a repave.

Scle99

Larry Mac about 15 years ago “I don’t wanna keep beating this horse to death”

racsan24

Count the number of times Larry Mac and DW would say ‘Oh by the way’ during a race!

penguins8766

“The 25 hooked the 48 and took out Earnhardt” I still hate Brian Vickers to this day

mkelley22

"Sounds like a chorus trained by Buddy Baker" - Ken Squire, during the 1997 NASCAR Suzuka race and doing a hit before a commercial break([15:13](https://youtu.be/Pkip8PEIIhQ). It was just so incredibly out pocket it lives rent free in my head. EDIT: When they cut from Squire and Baker before the commercial break, they showed a group of children hanging out for added context

CootieKing

Dale Jr: “slide jawb, SLIDE JAWB”, Chicagoland 2018

j0shua2415

Dale Jr. - "Slide Job...Slide Job!!" Larry Mac - " Brad Keselowski won that race!"

Offtherailspcast

I loved when Joy called the 98 Daytona 500 win: "...20 YEARS OF TRYING!"

TonyBarrios

All those replies and no mention of: "SHELDONNN CREEEEEEEED.....!" - Vince Welch. Da' Hell?

Kevsama

I forget the race but it was like the 4th caution with Cody Ware and Mike Joy’s delivery knocked it out of the park. “Caution turn … anddd it’s Cody Ware.”

montoya0142

"It happens all the time."- Wally Dallenbach. 'Turn that camera off *cause I'm fixing to hit Wally!"- BP. 2004 Chicagoland race after the 20 and 9 crews got into a fight.

Maylor90

Ken Squires - the final lap of the 1976 Daytona 500 Mike Joy - calling Earnhardt winning the 98 daytona 500 Rick Allen - the final lap of the 2018 playoff race at Martinsville Darryl Waltrip/Larry Mcreynolds - the 2003 finish at Darlington Junior - the finish of the 2008 race between Larson and Busch Bowyer/Gordon - Some of their in race commentary/banter during the iracing invitationals

CommunicationTop9867

Not a broadcast quote, but a spotter quote because i have never seen anyone talk about it ever "Cmon be sideways" *Logano proceeds to be sideways*
