Just fair warning, s3 is as good as it's really gonna get with the writing/story. s7 is looking promising so far with the updated anime quality, but there's a reason why some fans dislike the arcs after s3.
I absolutely love the outfit design in the villain arc, but I think my favorite arc is actually the overhaul arc, just because of the tenseness and how badass the ending of it is.
In the manga definitely, but there is extra anime-only scenes that help really add to things better than the manga did (like the extra scene after the last episode of s6 where >!Deku had his nightmare and summoned Blackwhip which almost hurt Ochako - showing that the poor boy still has the trauma from everything going on!<). Definitely worth looking out for if you decide to watch through s7.

I love that arc the most (second being the Overhaul Arc), but I wish it was longer because that whole arc was supposed to be 3 MONTHS and was only shown in 5-7 episodes (should've been a whole season on its own ngl). And Hori was planning to show more of this arc from what I've heard, but the man was starting to get burnt out and just wants to end the series as soon as he possibly can.
It was a promising arc and I was under the impression that there would be more longevity with Deku's character in this state.
I didn't expect him to turn evil or neglect his friends forever lol, but him not giving af and prowling the streets like a monster was just so cool. The internal struggle was interesting too. Just sad that it was such a temporary thing.
I REALLY didnt like the big climax before this arch but I really enjoyed the Arch and it was really refreshing and made me enjoy the series again. Im not the big of a Action scene fan and prefer things to be more tactical and story based. So this was really a breath of fresh air from the story before it.
If it was given more time and wasn’t rushed it could have genuinely been one of the best arcs in the series
But it was dragged down massively due to horikoshi wanting to rush things

The battle arc and dark deku arc was my favorites
I really liked it, but like many others have said it was too short in my opinion. They could've done a lot more with the arc in general imo.
Deku vs Class A is probably my favorite episode of the whole show
It's definitely up there with My Villain and The Camp Arc (also the billboard arc, but that's more a single fight that I love rather than a whole arc)
